Was anyone able to port the Sony Camera to OPO CM12.1?
I tried porting it (never did it before) and was not sure if I should copy the .smali files from z4 framework to the classes.dex or the other way around, what to re-compile and where to put the final files. I was worried I would end up getting a boot loop so I stopped right there.

How would I go about making the launcher in my regular Ion ROM have 5 icons across instead of the normal 4? If this isn't in the correct forum, please move.
if you had the source code for ion's launcher it would be as simple as editing the source code of the launcher.apk and recompiling, signing and copying onto the device. You could also compile the source code from the cupcake trunk and try to use that one although im not sure if it would work due to framework differences between the ion and the cupcake branch.
Another way to get this to work would be to dissassemble the classes.dex file using baksmali (by JF), editing it, reassembling using smali (again by JF), signing it and pushing it to the phone. I have tried this method with the Rogers build im using at the moment to no avail, as everything just force closes on boot :S.

i got a question for someone obviously brighter than me.... i made some higher level mod's to my framework-res.apk utilizing apkmanager... i was able to decompile and compile with no errors but i need it signed so i can push it .... i used apkmanagers signing utiliy but i get fc's like crazy.. i got the same result using android kitchen signing utility... i can copy over the res folder into another apk but its the resources.arsc i need too and when i copy it over i get a bootloop aswell..
before you respond... i need this file to be able to be pushed .. i know i can create and update.zip and sign the zip but that isnt going to work for what i'm trying to do
any help would be greatly appreciated
Copying resources.arsc to original apk and using update.zip gives me bootloop aswell. Just not funny, I can't flash my phone to test every possible combination.
Too bad you can't use AVD to flash roms... hmmm
I've been trying to change to gingerbread theme for mini pro, did something wrong though and not all elements were functioning properly so I tried to restore the original framework, copied the original, previously copied framework.res and pasted it into /system/framework folder. The phone turned off and all i got now is sony ericsson loading text when trying to turn it on again. I'm completely new with android so please help. How can i put it into recovery mode to install firmware from the beginning or make it work any other way?
I am having some issues getting CM12S apk files decompiled. I am a pretty experienced when it comes to this kind of stuff but for whatever reason I cannot get it to properly function.
I decompile the Settings.apk file from CM12S and all goes well and all, but when I push it to the device it just crashes immediately and displays the generic android icon. It is not the modifications I have done because I have tested just decompiling and recompiling the apk to see if it would work and no luck :/
