Virtual Keyboard to play mmorpg - General Questions and Answers

I try to find a virtual keyboard to play Aion on my PC all the remote Mouse/Keyboard app I find use pre made keyboard and I can't personalize them. The only one I find is Air HID but it's hard for me to create a good looking keyboard with symmetrical touch button. Is there another one with more easy keyboard creation?
Thanks for your help,
DracoMoye

I just made a crude keyboard in Air HID but I can't use multiple button at the same time so I can move forward and turn at the same time. I'm back to find a remote keyboard/mouse app?
I fast draw of the interface I wish to have

Game pad that use wasd, touch mouse and button, mouse 2 toggle hold unhold, all the competence slot and configurable button for menu and other shortcut.
That can be use with all the other mmorpg that use similar interface.

ScummVM virtual keyboard?

I just loaded ScummVM on my HD2, but it tells me I have to map buttons. For the life of me, I can't bring up the virtual keyboard. Does anyone know how this works?
It needs you to map things to physical buttons on the device not to the virtual keyboard - i usually only need to map the right click action and the button to show / hide the scummvm keyboard / interface..
The pop up will say something like 'Map Right click' you need to scroll down the list and select right click then press the physical button youd like to map.
Hope this helps!

[APP] VNC app that supports portrait mode

I've used android-vnc-viewer for a while but I hate that it's landscape-only. Can anyone suggest a VNC viewer, free or cheap, that works well in portrait? This was not so bad on my Milestone with a hard keyboard, but on my N1 it's awful to have to use the landscape keyboard which hides the screen contents while I type. The VNC app I use on my iPod Touch lets me view half the screen and type with the other half when I use it in portrait.
Any thoughts?
Search Wyse on market ..
The paid version costs 14.99$ but there is a free version too.. Dont know what's the limitaions of it.. Just check it out if its of any use to use..
it doesn't cover the full screen when i type in vnc
how do you enter your text? i long press the menu button to get the keyboard up
I also have to use the menu button to bring up the keyboard..

[Q] Mouse Over Function with Keyboard Dock

Can not seem to get the mouse over function to work on any links in the browser.
would be nice if this worked, makes the mouse touch pad more useful.
I've investigated the same from dev perspective (i.e. what it would take to have mouse hover work in my app). For now this seems to be undoable, because mouse events are only reported (as if they were touch events) when mouse button is down.
However, there is a new API for mouse hover, scroll etc in Android 3.1 - with this it should be possible to implement everything. Whether stock apps would use it or not is an open question, but I would expect that Browser of all things would do so, and hopefully Adobe adds hover support to Flash as well.
Actually there's a very simple way to do a mouse hover. Just put both fingers on the touchpad and it will act as a hover.
At least I think this works...

This does not work. Putting both fingers on the touchpad switches to page scrolling mode.

gametel - gamepad bluetooth- hd2 windows mobile

I just have bought a Gametel Gamepad bluetooth for my HTC HD2 but i want to use it on windows mobile. Gamepad is reconize on bluetooth but i can't configure it. :crying:
Someone know if there's a driver for this pad or a compatibility driver.
Thnks
i have accomplished to pair the controller with windows mobile and it reconize juste like a bluetooth keyboard but now what sould i do ?
Use it : most old games used the arrows and Enter key.
I suppose you'll have to select your emulated keyboard as the default one.
Just open any app using a keyboard (such as Notes), then press the right border on the keyboard icon to select another default keyboard.
If you do can't find it in the list, then long press the left border on the keyboard icon, in case it would appear there instead.

Uh, no, my man... it doesn't quite work that way. The Gametel adapter is mapped to the same keys as the Sony Ericsson Play device. Simply because it is in 'keyboard mode' do not assume that it will play games in the way you have described -- it will not. I still do not know of a practical use for the Gametel adapter on a Windows Phone (other than to make a Lumia look purposeful)... and Fructel will tell you the same thing. Games generally have to be made compatible for the Gametel / Sony Play mapping.
Windows Phone ? This is a Windows Mobile section...
Windows Phone 7 and above are completely different stuff and I can't help you there...

bluetooth keyboard

Hey everyone,
This may be a bit of an off question as it applies to all android phones not ust the one s but here goes....
I just picked up an iHome Bluetooth Keyboard, designed for the ipad. Connected with ease to my one S and I am currently using it to type out this post. Works fantastic. No lag to speak of and the keys are really nice. One drawback, it is designed for Ipad lol. Sooooo the question here is whether or not it is possible to remap the keys on the keyboard to perform funtions on Android. I.e. map the function buttons to quicklaunch apps or to use the arrow keys to roll around the UI as I have not yet picked up a mouse. the arrow keys work in certain apps like the text message app or the browser. keyboard is a dream for emulation, takes me back to my early pc no gamepad emulation days lol. anyways, if anyone has some input on the subject i would love to hear it. Thanks in advance to your helpful replies. Love this community!!!

Hi,
I've managed to remap some hotkeys by opening up the terminal emulator (which you can download here) and inserting the string "am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.android.settings/.quicklaunch.QuickLaunchSettings" without quotes (thanks to norristh for this). This way you can map each search+letter shortcut and, IN MY KEYBOARD, hotkeys are nothing but a search+letter combination (I mean, if you change the search+letter behaviour you also change the hotkey behaviour).
The only hotkeys I haven't been able to get working are the apps key and the mute key (they aren't probably integrated natively in android).
Try it out!
i bought an ihome bluetooth wireless keyboard and i am unable to pair it with my inspire4g. i need some help please. i try to type ''0000'' and ''1234'' with no luck. what am i missing. it's a race to get this done because my girlfriend wants me to take it back, but i know it will work.
