Has anyone tried to use twist wrist to open camera feature when Smart lock trusted face is activated as screen lock?? In my case is fails to open camera,it gives these messages - Camera error,restart camera or Unfortunately camera has stopped..
I want to know is everyone facing this or it is only me..
Please comment fast,I have a 30 days replacement offer..

I think this is a software bug not the hardware and can be fixed by update form motorola.. When we are using twist wrist and trusted face both of them are trying to use camera at the same time that is why camera is failing... I have reported this to motorola and would request you all to report this so that they look into this matter quickly...

I had this issue with my Nexus 5, and after restart my camera works fine, but after some time I have popup Can't connect to camera again. After some searching for solution, I found (In AppOps) that Viber is using camera in the background and not allowing Google Camera app to connect to camera. I disabled (In AppOps) Viber permission to use camera, and my problem is gone! Sorry for my english

Hey there, past weeks I broke my nexus 5 screen, was broken only it, fully functionally, then I take that to a store to change it. Now I discover that front camera doesn't work more. Tried with whatsapp videocall, duo, camera app, they all crash. Could it be possible that incompatible screen?Thanks
The screen has nothing to do with the camera as the camera connects directly to the motherboard.
Do you get an error that the app can't connect to the camera or the image from the front camera is blank?

I am also facing same issue. On my mobile front camera is not displayed.

Had to cange camera too.
Idk if anyone else got that problem but since 9.5.8 update whatsapp is turning every selfie picture into landscape mode wich is really... dumb.. i dont have screen turning or anything on... anyone an idea?

Can report the same issue after testing just now. Couldn't a workaround be taking a pic from the stock camera, and then uploading it to WhatsApp?

When i am trying to use front camera, it is popped out from the phone, LEDs near camera are On BUT SCREEN SHOWS VIEW FROM BACK CAMERA !!! When i use back camera it works like back camera. I mean it shows same back view like front camera .
Restart the phone, took a look in Settings - Camera ,but i cannot see anything wrong .
Any suggestions ,please ?

Which rom?
Try to erase the data in the apps.
Install GCam_5.1android11.200706.1149build-7.4.104 and test(if android 11)
Reset the phone.

remove data in app settings
check apkmirror for xiaomi camera and update/ or re-install
check with any camera app from playstore if its the same behaviour?

Still same nothings changes
Other apps have also the same issue?
In that case a hard reset might be the last option.
If it would persist even after this, I would assume you have an hardware issue.
The modules are cheap on aliexpress

Remove the rear panel, remove the top cover. The popup camera has a connection cable (make sure it is not damaged), it was not in the right place, just turn it back on, restart the phone and then it was work again.
I had previously replaced the data cable on the phone, so my camera did not work.
