[Q] HTC One XL import

Hi guys,
I bought my HTC One XL on asian site to use it in France. I'am very happy of it (comming from iPhone
This phone seems to be identical to the AT&T One X hardware but with Asian ROM.
It running Android 4.0.4, with HTC sense 4.1
The firmware version state for 2.42.708.3 (I've seen a Rom mod (stock rooted) based of this version on asian sites)
And basebande version 2.20os.32.09.15_10.113.32.28L
The phone had only 3 languages available (but I have add french without problem)
I've not tested LTE so far (only one band of this phone is in common with French LTE).
Do you think I can root it and change ROM following AT&T One X tutorials ?

No need to. Just unlock the bootloader on HTCDev.com. Then install TWRP (custom recovery) and either flash SU or a rooted ROM to get root.
Extra steps of temp root and changing to SuperCID is only needed on the AT&T version, due to the fact that AT&T's CID does not allow bootloader unlock on HTCDev.com. This applies only to AT&T's CID.

I'll wait for the Jelly Bean update at end of this month (supposed to) and check if USB audio is working. If not, I'll change the ROM.
CleanROM seems to me to be a good candidate as I'am OK with HTC Sense so far.

Looking for the official RUU 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) for the Desire S

Hi,
We need a Gingerbread device for testing and the Desire S was doing great until it wasn't ...
Can anyone point to the RUU installer for Gingerbread for the Desire S?
The HTC developer site no longer offers it as a download, the support weren't much help either.

there's all official RUUs for saga (HTC Desire S).First you need to check CID of your phone then you can choose which one is for your phone.Do a little research to find out what numbers in RUU means.GL

Ah, mine is vodafone UK, so if i flash this RUU will it re lock my desire s to vodafone? or will my phone stay unlocked? Or what???
By locking i mean will it be sim locked?

Alright so I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523 , and got the hboot version 1.54 on my T-Mobile HTC One m8 I came from a converted GPE 5.0.1 HTC One M8 and want to go back to complete stock I don't have a sense backup? Could anyone help me out?

Basically you have to flash back the original firmware.
Best to ask in the T-Mobile One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
There you should get quick and best help.

Is it possible to turn a GSM HTC One M8 Verizon to internationnal 4.16.401.10 ?
If so thank you to tell me in detail steps.
I tried SEVERAL times by MID good wwe europe but still it does not work .
I made several attempts but it does not :
FUU_4.16.401.10_WWE_FullStock_Wipe_M8
and 0P6BIMG_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_4.16.401.1 0_Radio_1.25.214500021.06G_20.68.4196t.01_F_releas e_417809_signed
and
FUU_4.16.401.10_WWE_TWRP2840_NoWipe_M8.
I was able to install hd rom revolution HD 43 with kernel lONElyX_m8_Sense_kernel_037 but my goal is to change the firmware.
the question is verizon htc one m8 GSM S-OFF can be converted To www europe ?

No not like you want to. Verizon is CDMA/LTE not GSM. So their NV radio bands are tweaked for CDMA/LTE.

I'm almost positive you cannot do what you want to do. The partitions are different (including the radio which the RUU includes).
Right now at best, you can flash one of the marshmallow ROM's in the Dev section. There's a GPE version, and a Sense 7 version over there. Just make sure you have the latest verizon 5.0.1 firmware, otherwise you will run into problems.
