Windows 10 USB drivers for oneplus one - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ever since I installed the windows 10 upgrade on my desktop computer, it doesn't recognize the oneplus one anymore. It was working fine in windows 8, and now the device manager shows a USB composite device that is in yellow status failed to start. I have tried pointing the driver update to the google usb driver from the android sdk and that fails, insisting the proper driver is already loaded. Any ideas on this?

if I turn off android debugging on the phone in developers options, it cycles over and over that device is not recognized. I have the samsung drivers from previous posts in this thread installed.

Are you using MTP or PTP? I think I had to move to PTP to get it to work for both access to the storage and for ADB.

i dont have any problems if i connect my one plus to my pc with windows 10

Windows 10 is very buggy and im having problems with it on my laptop and when trying to use bootcamp it says my partition osnt formatted correctly.

What you mean is Bootcamp doesn't support Windows 10 yet. Give Apple 5 years and they may patch it.
Had no problems at all with Windows 10 on 4 machines.

Try to delete Drivers and clean all the install again

I made a clean install of Windows 10, installed the standard Google ADB drivers, then the Samsung ADB drivers, connected the phone to the PC, went to the device manager and replaced the "unknown ADB device" by "Samsung composite ADB device" driver. After doing that, it recognizes perfectly the phone either in MTP, ADB or Fastboot modes with no issues at all. I always did it this way in clean installs of Windows 7 and 8.1 and works exactly the same in Windows 10. Try it this way, it will work.

I have MTP and USB tethering working on my dell xp PC
To get tethering working you need USB debugging enabled and then select USB tethering... Obviously you'll need the proper drivers setup and installed.
When I select USB tethering and then check in Device Manager it shows my N5 connected under "Network Adapters" as "Windows Mobile-based internet sharing device" I right click on it and select Properties and then select the Drivers Tab and then select Driver Details it shows 2 driver details listed -
1. C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\rndismpx.sys - which is Remote NDIS miniport
2. C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\usb802x.sys - which is Remote NDIS USB driver
Your gonna want to take a look a my post about MTP and try and get that setup also... Here's my post from another thread -
Well I can tell you what transpired... I was having MTP and fastboot driver issues when I was trying to unlock the Bootloader and root my lenovo a2109 tablet. I finally got the fastboot driver installed but I was still having MTP driver issues. I did a lot of research on MTP and tried a lot of solutions. Something's that I did was update windows media player to 10 or higher, I installed mtppk12 = MTP porting kit, Microsoft user mode drivers, installed Android SDK, Java and .net framework 4.0 I also have the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync installed as this added additional USB drivers for my PC to communicate with my windows phone.
I have all kinds of drivers installed on my PC. I have my N5, 2 other lg phones, 2 Samsung's, 2 Tablets, a Huawei, all are android devices and a HTC windows phone. MTP mode works on all of them except the HTC windows phone obviously, but USB debugging has to be disabled and I don't have to reboot my phones to get them to connect.
When I connect my N5 to my PC with only MTP selected and check in device manager it shows up under "Portable devices" as "Nexus 5" when I right click on it and select properties, then click on the drivers tab and select, driver details it shows 2 driver details -
1. "C:\windows\system32\drivers\wpdusb.sys" which is WPD USB driver
2. "C:\windows\system32\drivers\wudfrd.sys" which is Windows driver foundation - User mode drive framework reflector.
It shows the same driver details for all my android devices and lists them under portable devices in device manager by there names. eg. Nexus 5, LGMS 769, LGMS 770, A2109 and so on.
I also have MTP Enhanced.exe installed to the root of my C:\ Drive
Good luck

Windows doesn't recognize nexus 5 no matter what

Hello, I am trying to flash some baseband for my nexus 5 following some tutorial.
Before win8 recgnize N5 as an MTP device. However it can't be listed in "device manager" in win 8.
I tried to disable it recognized as USB MTP now Win8 doesn't recognize Nexus 5 anymore at all.
I have already installed "Android SDK tool platform" with google usb driver from it.
I have installed "LG United Mobile Driver".
Tried to update driver with those folders installed.
But Windows 8 says it can't find any driver for nexus 5.
Make sure you're using a USB2 port, not USB3.

Can't properly install the android fastboot drivers on Windows 10

I keep trying to install the fastboot android drivers on windows 10 but every time I connect my shield tablet original to windows 10 laptop. It's already recognized and is put under the Category "Universal Serial Bus Devices" as the name "Shield Tablet". Then after I try to install the adb drivers, I try the command fastboot reboot, but it stays at "waiting for device". What should I do now? Im just trying to flash the official build version of TWRP on my Shield tablet original WIFI. Thanks for the help!!!!

Did you try installing them? I am running Windows 10 and have those drivers installed.
Here is a guide to installing drivers on Windows 10: http://en.code-bude.net/2015/08/19/how-to-install-unsigned-drivers-in-windows-10/
I had to do the manual install on Win10. Hit browse, show list, pick folder, etc. I think it comes up as Android Device Interface or something to that effect.

USB Driver windows 8

I'm trying to unlock my mate 8 but when I plug it into my pc it says USB device not recognized. Are there drivers I need to install first? If so where would I find them? I have developer options and enabled USB debugging.
I tried manually installing the driver using these instructions https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-install-drivers-manually but it will not work. It shows up as unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) and then when I manually install drivers to that usb device it says "windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date.". This is incredibly frustrating someone please help me out. Can you link me a driver that actually works and automatically involved?
Thanks
please help
If you connect your phone to your pc, especially in Windows, you will notice about Windows asking to run driver downloader. Just run it and it will download the software. Once it is installed, your phone is connected.

I switched laptops and tried every single port of both laptops
I tried miui USB settings app from playstore
I tried using ADB commands from the terminal but no device detected
I entered fastboot mode on phone and then run fastboot devices but still no device found
I used GMTP in ubuntu which worked fine on another phone having somewhat similar issue but it also didn't work
I changed 4 USB cables (3 of them were original mi cables )
I tried using Pendrive using otg but it also didn't work
My laptop worked fine with other phone

No, the driver probably did not installed correctly.
