[Q][AOSP] My phone doesnt charge while screen is on. - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello as the title says.
My z3 does not charge when i have my screen on while im on Cyanogenmod ROM's (Idk if it's just cm it doesnt work on since i've only tried like Carbon and CM12.1).
It charges while my screen is off, but for me that's not just an option since i'm kinda addicted to my phone.
And it works perfectly fine while i'm on stock based roms.
Does anyone else have this issue?.
And yes, i'm using stock charger etc.

Anyone?

Does anyone know what might of caused my problem?

This is the second time I found my phone unresponsive after putting it on charge. The first time the lights were lit on the buttons but the screen wouldn't turn on, second time the phone wouldn't work.(buttons weren't lit the 2nd time) But I did a battery pull both times and the phone was working and had a full charge. I was running CM7 stable but I flashed to the stock rom. Does anyone have an idea of what was wrong and if I could have the same problem with the stock rom?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I've had that problem running CM7 too. Some Roms or Kernels were better than others, but most of the time when it crashed it would light the four buttons and be unresponsive. A battery pull would fix it, or upgrading to a more stable rom. Or maybe it was the kernel?
I might not be exactly sure, i took the phone back to stock and unrooted, and when i went to turn on the screen, the phone was fine. I would rather not be stock? But if my phone is going to have a problem then i'll have to do it, unless I do some tests or something.

Tablet will only charged turned off.

Encounterd a weird problem here. I'm currently on Cm 10.1 and decided I'd give Pimp my rom a try. Everything was working just fine till I got home and put the charger in, I noticed it wasn't working, until I shut it off. Then it charges no problem. I've tried this out on both my computer and a outlet. I even removed all tweaks Pimp My Rom , still the same.
I think that it's probably Pimp My Roms doing, though I wanted to be sure before I do any full wipes or ODINs.

Wireless charging problem - a weird one

Hey all.
I have a nexus 5 that refuses to charge wirelesslly in Kit Kat. I have 2 wireless chargers (not the google one) that work fine with my wife's Galaxy s4 (with the add on).
Every time I have tried my nexus 5 the lights flash from red to green over and over again. With these chargers the light is red when not charging and they turn green when charging a phone.
Anyway, here's the kicker. With the Android L preview it works fine. No issues. Went back to stock 4.4.4 and they no worky.
Any ideas?
Have you tried a 4.4.4 custom rom?
I am using two qi-chargers (original nexus 5 at work and a noname-orb from ebay at home) and can't reproduce your error... Both are working flawlessly with either stock or latest cm-nightly.
Very strange. I have a cheap ass qi wireless charger that works flawlessly with any Rom. Hope you figure it out.
Agreed that it's super weird.
At first I thought my wireless was pooched but seeing it work with L made me wonder if there is another issue.
The chargers do recognize that something has been placed on them because the leds change for a second and then flash and the phone doesn't chime or indicate charging.
Also I can't use a custom rom because I need a stock rom to test work on for my client.
I had this problem recently, probably out of different reasons. I removed my N5's back cover and did the GPS antenna fix (LINK if anyone needs it), and when I put it back the wireless charging didn't work. The charger kept flashing from green to red.
After some googling I found this:
I had the same issue before when I swapped the back on my N5. Try making sure the last clip is snapped in place the centre of the phone. It holds the contacts to the wireless coil.

Sorry if this doesn't help.
Fixed my problem. I installed multiboot to see if L would still work. My bootloader was locked so I had to wipe everything. Did a fresh 4.4.4 setup and then installed multirom and L.
Setup L and tested wireless charging. Works. Reboot into KitKat. Works.
No idea what happened before but it works now.
Thanks to all of you for the input.

Probably hard brick?

Hi everyone,
I've searched something with the search option but I did not find anything like my problem.
Problem is: I've a stock rom 4.4.2 on my note, but I've rooted once my tablet with a cyanogen, then I come back to a stock rom.
Yesterday it worked well. During the night I charged my note, this morning it appears only on boot logo, then I switched off to try to reboot but now it seems dead, it doesn't switch on, neither on odin or recovery mode, neither vibrate, neither charge (no logo on charging).
I've tried other cable which works 100%, and the charger of device works too (it charges my cellphone as example).
I've tried all combination of buttons (power+volume up or down or both), and nothing, the charger remains cold so doesn't charge. I think to test battery with external tester, and then I've to see if it is the battery or not.
Any other idea from you guys?
Any news on this?
Hello,
I have the same issue although I have stock firmware. On night after charging from a almost empty battery (5%) the screen didn't com back up. Totally black. The Charger seems OK and no improvement after using another charger as well. I'm interested to hear if and how this was resolved.

[Q][GT-P3100] Plugging Charger Bug

Hello everyone.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100) running a cm13 official. Before, it was running so well to my device but when my original charger broke it didn't.
I immediately bought a cheap charger from a Shop with no warranties. After I went home, I charged it immediately. It wasn't charged for like 12 hours so it was showing the charging icon when turned off charging. When I booted it up (note that the charger was still plugged in) it shows the booting anim. and then freezes.
Thinking that my tab was bricked or something, I wiped it, flashed the same ROM and gapps but still when booting up whil e charging, it'll froze on the boot animation.
I then changed my ROM to aokp, not minding the bug and it was running so well. (Freezing didn't occur on this ROM)But the thing is I noticed something odd about the charger. When I play DQ (Dungeon Quest) or a video on the internet, when the charger is plugged in or out, it suddenly closes the app.
Well I didn't mind about that but the time came that I got bored with AoKp and went back to Cm13 (Partially thinking that the bug is fixed) it booted up and froze on the boot anim. So I unplugged the charger and booted it up it worked like magic and I plugged it back after the animation has ended but unfortunately it freezes around 5-10 mins.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone know some solution? Please let me know.
I don't wanna ditch this charger, there might be another solution than that.
Update:
I've just flashed another ROM called OrionOS which is currently on android 6.0.1 and the problem still exist, same as CM13.
It seems like this problem occur on Marshmallow Roms. Well I can't really say that but
I'm going to try other ROMS out.
