I have an Opo bought by a friend from oneplusone (I have the receipt so it's not Chinese)
I am running the latest cm12s ytas...
To try improve my reception in Italy at home I installed some radio version (don't remember exactly which one...) showed as di.3.o.c6-00230-m8974AAAAANAZM-1 in the base as section
Sim works well in Italy and UK.
Problem now is that I am in the U.S. For three weeks and the phone doesn't register on any carrier here
I thought it was a problem of the sim, but tried it on a galaxy note 2 with a sim connection here in U.S. and my sim works and the other one not...
I'm trying to install another radio on the handset, I tried the latest radio from oxygen on and also the find.7 radio. I upgrade the twrp to 2.8.7.0 but radio is alway the same even after clear cache and dalvik
any idea on how can I fix this mess? :-

Hi All! We've been working with this issue for 2 days at our help channel #helpmenow.
I currently have an s-off 1.27 hboot sensation XE running Insercoin v 2.0 ROM.
My issue is I don't have get signal for a particular carrier. (Other SIMs for other carriers works just fine). This carrier used to work before, I was just charging and then I noticed that it got no service.
These are the steps that I took so far:
1. Check antenna at the cover
2. Tried SIM on another phone (SIM Works)
3. Tried a DIFFERENT SIM from a DIFFRENT carrier, it works fine on MY phone.
4. called my provider but no issues on their side.
6. used RUU
7. tried RIL's
8. Flashed old 1.17 firmware to clean radio data.
9. Flashed a different ROMv with and without full wipe
10. Also tried downloading apps to enhance signal but to no avail.
we've been working this out with ganesh007, kgs1992, T-Junk, David_ and others on the channel but as of now I still got the same issue.
Hopefully you can help us figure this out so it could be of use to others who might have the same issue in the future.
PS: Right now I am using a different SIM from another carrier so as to get the phone function of the Phone. The carrier you see below my name is the one that is having issues right now.

Kabayan, we are on the same boat. I have the same exact issue..Sensation xe(2nd hand), originally from Singapore(Singtel), went as far as going back to GB stock. At first, I thought it was just sim locked to Smart, but when I tried a Sun sim, it worked. At this point, I do not know what else to do. Tried cleaning s58,tried firmwares with different radio's, etc. After reverting back to GB and putting in a Globe sim it still says "Your sim does not allow a connection to this network" and no signal. If you got any updates, please let me know. Okay?
I flashed my Xperia T (LT30P) today to a firmware version of ICS 4.0.4 after updating software the other day (5/31) to jellybean 4.1.2 Now, my phone isn't picking up data nor showing up as 4G LTE. The firmware I used was 7.0.A.1.303 Vodafone. I have tried a factory restore with no success. I live in America and the firmware was UK if that makes a difference. I visited at&t today to resolve the issue. They told me that the network is functioning fine and tried my sim card in a different phone, which worked fine. So, is there anything I can do? It does make a difference if you used UK firmware on an American phone. Since the UK communicates on a different frequency than the US, the two are not compatible. The only option would most likely be to reflash your phone using a different ROM, or flash it back to stock.
The provider specific SIM menu is available, but the tablet shows no signal. Even when it shows one, the signal disappears the moment I try to make a call or am about to receive one. The caller can still hear ringing while the tablet lists the call as missed call.
My father's Galaxy Tab 2 7" automatically tried updating through wifi but failed (I presume), and the SIM functions stopped working.
After many attempts I updated it through OTA to the latest firmware, shown as PDA:NA3 / PHONE:LK1 / CSC:NB1 (INU) in Kies, and the Android version was listed as 4.1.2., but the problem persisted.
I tried to wipe cache. It didn't sort the problem.
Then I Installed CWM 6.0.7 and Cyanogenmod 10.1 (JB 4.2.2) using this tutorial: wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_p3100
Still it can't make or receive calls.
Baseband version is listed as p3100ddclk1
What to do?
Is this a hardware or firmware problem?

Even I am facing the same order on my tab but in a different way. I can recieve signal for the carrier Tata Docomo but other carrier are showing any sign of life
But sometimes while on tata docomo , I lost signals while using data or when I got a call. And one more thing, I was on a trip to a hill station and there I was getting signals from Vodafone perfectly (my main service provider). But when I came back from there I ain't receiving any peice of signals from vodafone and Docomo is working as usual with few network losses during the day.
PS.- I ain't received any solution yet, still sticking up with that problem.
PPS.- The tab I brought is in used condition with the fact that the tab has that problem in it. (I need not to pay much lol)
Btw I think if we can flash new firmware (official) with odin with modem file, It may sokve our problem. TRY FLASHING FIRMWARE, I cant as I am low on speed

I am not sure about the Model file alone but you can download whole firmware from sammobile.com, they have firmware of all Samsung devices region wise, just login to enjoy better speed.

i already download the firmware for Malaysia and how to get the modem file from it? Should I extract it and search in?

This is my sister's phone, a Samsung Ace S5839i with stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 as second phone with Vodafone carrier. Years ago it was unlocked and rooted at a phone shop and everything was fine. At some point, she issued that the phone stopped connecting and wouldn't work with Vodafone, but strangely it works with other carriers.
So now I have the phone with me, I have tested older Vodafone sim cards and they work fine, tested other carrier sims and they work. I have tested 2 new Vodafone sim cards (mine and my sister's, which are both new and work on other phones) and both fail. The phone boots and doesn't ask the pin code. There is the icon in the statusbar with the sim card and an exclamation mark like there is no card. The radio signal is ok, IMEI is ok, it says "Insert SIM card" when I try to enter the Network Operators in settings menu.
I have downloaded a stock rom with newer PDA and modem versions and flashed them with Odin, but no luck, everything is still the same (except the flash counter...). I wonder if searching and flashing even a newer modem would solve the issue. Or would a newer Android version if there is. :silly:
It looks that this is a Vodafone related issue with the new cards, but all they say is that the sim is operative and won't help.
Hi i have a nexus 5 (d 821) and i'm trying to get it work again. It has no signal with a valid sim card. i am in europe.
I tried cyanogenmod ( it shows usa, japan automatic ) but no signal.
i tried lineage the same thing.
I restore it in 6.0.1 google img ( it shows only usa band ) but no signal.
i restore in 4.4 ( it shows only usa band)but no signal.
Is this problem software or hardware?? is there any rom that can make my phone work again?

If this is a 2nd hand phone device and a problem with other sim cards too, I'd check if the IMEI has been blacklisted by a previous owner?
it has some falls , but i dont think this is the problem.
at *#4636 menu it shows only usa band (original nexus rom) and auto us japan band in lineage rom.
I think that the problem is in software with the radio img, or else with antenna or motherboad as hardware.
i need the opinion of an expert to deal the software part,
the sim cards works on other phones...

ΤΗΕ phone worked fine in europe, last year the problem occured and since then i am trying to find solution.
