My Xperia Z3 just started restarting by itself every few minutes.
The phone functions normally for a few minutes, and then suddenly, the screen turns Black and you cant do anything with the phone. You would need to reset it in order to temporarly fix it.
I also have noticed the screen was flickering a bit, and the brightness was fixed, but it looks like the flickering and brightness issue went away. The phone heats up a bit as well.
I have factory resetted it, but the black screen problem still persists. Its running on Android 5.0.2.
Does anyone have any answers?

Hello everyone.
Recently my Sony X1 has been restarting everytime right after it hits the windows green screen. Unfortunately I had figured this out a little too late, and my battery wasn't able to charge up again for a while. But searching these forums I found a solution to that, which was to charge the phone without the battery, then place it in afterwards.
My phone starts up again but the same problem still occurs. My phone keeps rebooting it self right after it hits the window screen. The only other thing I have observed is sometimes when I turn on my phone for a split second my screen emits small black and white squares that are distorted.
Any suggestions would be appreciated if there is a way to solve this.
Thanks.
My phone is not rooted the.bootloader is locked. It's stupid that I can't access the factory menu or root a phone that I personally own.
I've reset my phone through the phone menu. The phone is now in a boot loop. The screen goes blue after 5 minutes everything and the phone restarts. Last week it happened rarely, yesterday it restarts every hour and now I have even less time before the phone restarts.
Safe mode doesn't have an effect on it either.
My guess is that its like a windows blue screen of death relating to memory.
Are there any options left to fix the problem?

My Nexus has a display problem and i'm trying to troubleshoot what the issue is and I'm wondering if anyone could help as it's not obvious where the issue lies.
What happened is I was using it as normal this morning and then the screen started flickering to different sizes/colours until it finally just went off. It was almost like it is trying to find the correct refresh rate and the colours appeared polarised at one point. After holding power down to reset it, the google logo appeared and then the spinning dots. Once the boot was complete the android logo appeared and then as soon as the main screen was displayed the display cuts off with a white pixelated mist and shuts off. The phone is still running as if I connect via HDMI I can see everything as normal however the phone responds extremely slowly. I can get into recovery however the screen quickly does some strange things, it flips like a mirror and cuts 1/3 of the screen off.
I'm not sure if this is a LCD problem as its a replacement from ebay that I've been using for a few weeks now. I would suspect that before anything else however it's odd the pre boot logos display fine. I've checked and cleaned all connections however it's still doing it. I'm running stock 5.1.1 rooted.
Greetings.
I've recently been struggling with a problem with my Galaxy S6 and I've searched far and wide on the interwebs for a solution, with no avail.
You see, whenever I turn my phone on, or wake it up from the lock screen, the screen flickers one or two times, but doesn't always turn on.
They keys are active, touchscreen is active, but no image.
Sometimes I have to try and unlock my screen two or three times to get an image, sometimes it turns on after the first flicker.
An example of what I am experiencing is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyiDgpUSkaE
[edit] Another example is this: when switching the display brightness, the screen goes to crap and starts flickering like crazy, and at minimum brightness text goes unreadable and small (video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIMFaCy_KVY
I am not rooted, everything is stock FW, I had android 6 stock and recently upgraded to 7 stock OTA and the same issue persists.
I cannot access download mode or recovery because the screen won't turn on. Only time it turns on is when Android is booted. Even when booting, the blue led flashes because the device is booting but I have no image.
Please contribute with some ideas, I cannot wipe cache from recovery because I can't see anything even if I try to boot recovery (or download).
Thank you in advance!
Did you resolve this issue? If so, how? Mine started to do the same after a short fall. My initial thought was hardware but I can get into recovery and the screen functions just fine there.
Hey, something's wrong with my phone.
When I turn off the phone, the display does not show anything, the touchscreen and buttons work, everything except the display. Black screen.
And when I reboot the phone many times, about 20-30 times, the display magically turns on and everything works fine. I wanted to know the problem in the display itself or all because of the battery. If the phone fully broken, then how after many reboots it turns on?
ps: The display does not turn off when I restarting the phone without turning it off
