Hello everyone. So, let's start by explaining what I have did.
For a while I had the XtreStolite Odex 2.0 edition and I wanted to try out other ROM. I have factory reset-ed when I was installing the ROM using TWRP and I somehow managed to delete all the phone's internal stuff, but I can still boot to TWRP or download mode.
I have tried to flash stock firmware using Odin 3.10.6 ( running as administrator too ) and when it gets to sboot.bin it fails right away. I have tried using Samsung Smart Switch PC Software, tells me my device is unsupported. If I try to manually find my model using the S/N, the software fully downloads then gives me an error.
I have tried to ADB sideload from TWRP Advanced menu, whenever I want to flash for example xtrestolite odex zip ( named rom.zip for short ) it goes "serving:... 21%" and gets stuck. If I try to push a zip it says "error:closed". I am no big expert in ADB, I don't know how to install the latest version, and I can't download the full Android SDK because my internet is very slow. I had Bootloader and Modem 5.1.1
I am looking for a way to move the XtreStolite ROM zip into the phone's memory so I can boot to TWRP and install the ROM. I've seen something with OTG Cable and USB but I have no real knowledge of these. If it comes as a last resort, if someone could briefly explain me how would I manage to repair the phone using the OTG Cable and USB stick.
I also have a Nandroid Backup on my PC but I don't know how to move it to the phone's storage, because it's well, bricked. When I'm trying to copy files over Mount option in TWRP, it says that it cannot copy the file, the device may be disconnected.
I had Bootloader and Modem 5.1.1, also Windows 10. I can go back to 7 or 8.1 anytime it's needed.
Much appreciations.
EDIT: I actually repaired it by flashing a stock firmware downloaded from xda ( God bless you whoever linked the mega.co.nz stock fw link ) . Thread can be deleted.
You can also flash these via odin.

Hey guys i need help. I recently rooted my samsung galaxy trend gt-s7392, so that i can install a custom rom. I have used odin and installed cwm and then installed twrp mod for my device. I still havent wiped my system rom but inorder to install the custom rom i was trying to format the /data partition but for some reason it was stuck in cwm. So i switched to twrp to tackle the problem. But according to logcat , twrp is unable to mount the /data partition and the /data partition shows 0mb in total size and in free space. I cannot mount or format the /data partition but all other partitions are working well and can be mounted and formatted. And if i try to reboot my system in its current state then it just gets stuck in a bootloop. Please tell me what to do so that i can mount and format the /data partition to install the stock or any custom rom. Any help is appreciated. Please help!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You shouldn't have both CWM and TWRP on your phone at the same time. Something didn't work right right when you tried to replace cwm with twrp. You might have to return your device to stock and start over.

Don't panic. Unfortunately there is not a specific forum for your device on XDA. But what you'll want to do is flash the stock firmware in odin.
- Goggle odin 3.07 xda. Extract that and install it on your pc.
- Download the stock firmware from sammobile.com You have to register but it's free. You'll download a zip file. Use 7-zip or winrar to extract it. You'll end up with a .tar.md5 file. That's what you'll use in odin.
- Star odin on your pc
- Put your device in download mode and connect it to your pc with the usb cable
- Using the PDA slot in odin find the .tar.md5 file
- Only have f. reset and auto-reboot checked in odin. DO NOT have re-partition checked.
- run odin
Note: odin can be finicky. Use the usb ports in the back of the PC. You might have to try different usb ports and cables
So here's the thing. I have a Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915T (UVU1ANK3) I wanted to root it and am stuck in a state I cannot seem to get out of after searching all over the internet for. I got TWRP on the phone but that's about it, the interesting thing that I challenge anyone to help fix is how to get SuperSU on the internal SD from my computer since I cant get the phone to go past the Note Edge startup screen (I'll come back to this) and when I plug the phone into the computer it won't recognize it to pull up the storage. The other problem is in TWRP, it says there is no OS installed so I cannot do anything on the phone at all other than TWRP and the flashing screen. When I try to install ROM's I get an error code of fused 2> binary 1 not sure what all that stuff means.
In Summary:
1. No OS installed
2. SuperSU unable to put in internal SD
3. Fail to flash ROM's to phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have you tried flashing via adb? And tell me whats the version of yor twrp btw. You might need to switch in cwm recovery though as that one worked for me in my gsmart phone

Okay I'll start from the important to the less.
1/3.No OS installed:
Make sure you are using the latest and the correct twrp for your device (TWRP 3.1.0) through odin
Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4092902
Or twrp recovery -or any other custom rom-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4092901
And you can try installing a custom ROM through it
P.S you can't flash official tar or tar.md5 files through twrp
Or get into download mode and flash official frimware with odin
2. Rooting:You got 3 options
-moving it after flashing the firmware through odin -or a custom rom-
-puting the SD card in another phone to move the zip file to it
-using card reader to move through pc
works also if you couldn't port the right zip custom
i have a 920f on which i had the xef 7.0 android (it is a phone bought from orange romania, sim locked and the csc was oro)
i installed twrp on it and after that i rooted it by flashing a zip file with twrp
then i wanted to install a custom rom. i copied the file on the phone but i wasn't paying attention and the copy process stopped in the middle of it but the file was still on the phone. wiped everything that was asked to wipe then proceeded to install the zip only then to find out that the installation ended after about 30 seconds. i tried rebooting and i'm stuck in a bootloop. even though, i can still enter download mode and in the recovery but because i wiped all those things(everything except internal storage and usb otg)
i know that i should have checked to see if the file was being copied fully but even now when i connect the phone to my laptop in the recovery to copy the zip, it still does the same thing. i tried using another usb cable, another usb port and even another laptop but the copy process still stops about halfway trough.
right now i'm downloading a stock rom and gonna try to flash it with odin. what should i do?
any help is appreciated
Download a 7.0 rom from: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=g920f&exact=1
Flash it with ODIN (AP)
Boot device, it should work
If this doesnt work and you know what you did wrong just download samsung smart switch, do an emergency firmware recovery en start over again
Hello I've haven't done any rooting or roms since the samsung s3 days. I was attempting to root my google pixel and when I wiped the phone in the TWRP recovery I made the mistake of ticking every box meaning the phone now has no os on it at all. I tried installing a factory rom from googles site but I only get an error saying the zip is an invalid file type.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think,,,and I am not sure but if you wiped everything you will have to fastboot flash stock image then re-install TWRP and go from there.
Unzip the factory ROM zip on your computer, have the latest drivers and ADB/Fastboot installed/downloaded from Google's site, connect the phone in whichever mode it has to be in (Bootloader?) I forget but the information is plenty available in various threads here, there are only a couple of options anyway, then run the Flash-All.bat or .sh, depending on what OS you're running (Windows, Linux/Mac?).
If you can connect via MTP while in TWRP (if that's not wiped as well, or if you did if you haven't booted out of TWRP), then maybe you can copy the files over to flash a ROM and vendor image, and TWRP RC1 too so you can flash it again, although I would opt for starting back from scratch with the fully stock ROM/firmware flashed from a PC myself.
Flash the factory image and remain stock until you learn how to use recovery/restore a phone.

Run flash all from PC to get back to stock. Then do a lot of reading.

Hi,
It has been a while since ive dealt with custom roms and im wondering if im forgetting something, what im experiencing is that no matter which linageOS rom i install i get stuck for hours on end on the linageOS booting screen. Ive been wondering if theres something like a verbose boot that could show me what is happening when booting. What ive been doing is Install the rom (wipve dev/cache) then install gapps (nano or full) then wipe dev/cahce and still getting the same result every single time.
Now i dont know how to proceed from here, my conclusion is either im doing something completely wrong or this device is not compatible with the 8013 roms however it says 801X all the files say 8013 after youve downloaded them. If another brain could shed some light on this that would be greatly appreciated
Greetings,
Jules
Firgured out my issue it was due to having TWRP 2.8 instead of 3.0, somehow TWRP cant flash it properly on version 3.
I'm havng the same problem, or was. For me too it has been awhile! I was able to boot finally by following these steps:
1. advanced wipe, everything but my ext sd card
2. install os rom zip
3. install gapps zip
4. reboot by selecting do NOT install supersu root or whatever it offered
Now though I'm in and can't download chrome though the play store so I'm about to reflash the stock rom gapps rather than the pico gapps.
just saw your reply - strange as i'm using 2.8 and can't figure out how to update my twrp as fastboot totally freezes
TWRP see twrp thread in development .
or twrp.me
Updates via zip or tar file .
Fastboot on Note 10 ??

@JJEgan when you say twrp updates via zip or tar, is this an automatic update? i also cannot seem to get past the lineage boot screen so not sure how to update it unless i can just drop it on the sd card.
No you update the file via Odin or TWRP .

Thanks. @JJEgan I was hoping you might be able to advise on my issue?
I have twrp 2.8 installed from when Blisspop was installed in 2015. It allowed me to wipe and proceed.
Using twrp i then installed Lineage lineage-14.1-20181103-TESTING-n8013, addonsu-14.1-arm-signed and open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20190403. These are the things I was able to make a guess that I needed based on reading here.
Problem: stuck at Lineage's logo boot screen
Mistakes I think I made from further reading:
- twrp 3.0 should be used to install ROM
- smaller gapps suite (nano) should be used
Obstacles:
- I can boot the 8013 to Odin Screen. I have Odin running on Windows 10. I have the driver for the 8013 installed in Windows that allowed me to drop the Rom and stuff onto the SD card. However, when I boot into Odin, nothing happens in Odin in Windows.
- Not sure what version of TWRP is really apporpriate
And overall, I'm just guessing about all of this. I understand "the answers are here" but there are millions of answers and I'm having problems deciphering which ones are correct.
Thank you so much. I would be most appreciative if you could point me to the correct twrp for the GT-N8013 and a guide to how to install it via Odin when TWRP is already present and if my other research is correct.
Either update through TWRP as twrp image or via Odin as TAR file .
<However, when I boot into Odin, nothing happens in Odin in Windows. >
You open Odin on windows put tar file in correct slot .
Boot to Download mode on tablet then connect usb cable
Odin press start.
