This project is to Get most of the Beloved Apps (or rather most commonly used) to AOSP & CM Based Roms
if you change the DPI to anything lower than 49x LG Keyboard will die, i highly advice to download App Settings from Xposed to set the DPI of System Apps rather than built in DPI Changer!
What's Working
LG Keyboard for now
G4 Weather
Partially Working
LG FileManager (it needs something with DRM libs and more)
LG Music (Needs some Media stuff from G3 Stock)
Q&A
Why don't you continue your work for stock Rom?
Well I will but there is so many issues coming and going that might be related to the Android 5.0 system and it is taking time to restore a 1gb Rom when it dies.
Bruh. Can you get Camera working and This and That?
Well, depending on how much is actually framework related, afaik to get G4 camera working we need libs, Camera_Config, maybe some binary files maybe vendor files as well, and framework-res from G4. (lge-res) framework-res might not be needed. I'll try to do my best, but if you wan't a better camera i advice you to use HTC Camera found on the net. it is providing better experience than Google Camera.

Interesting LGbackup works (main ui)
LGmusic loads ui then dies
And just for the info. None of the framework from LG is installed

Hey, that's awesome project, i'll wait for more apps, because stock is very battery draining, and just one question - can you just try to port QuickCircle to AOSP? Because QC View doesn't work correct in latest builds, so it will be awsome to make stock Quick Circle work on AOSP-based ROMs

I was thinking about moving to aosp too and just downloaded everything i need, including keyboard from this thread as well. I installed everything well so far but i thought this is flashable zip and tried it on recovery and failed lol. Could you please help me to install the keyboard?
Edit: Figured it out as copying 3 folders to system/app and giving permissions(rwx r-x r-x for folders and rw- r-- r-- for files). Sorry for bothering, thank you for your great work Looking forward to see other apps

Dude read first post
For sure camera can be ported "though it will take time and" to get it working on aosp/cm each and every framework will have to be modified and that is a bummer. Though ify we could somehow redirect the files to a self made jar it could be cool. though that be even harder tbh.

I hope you will port a newer version of QuickRemote (yeah, i know it is on other topic, but there is old version of that app)

Alright, clock/alarm works fine, I'll put it up in a minute, can't get dialer/phone to work. Haven't messed with the calendar yet.

I'm also changing the file names so you can test them out and keep the originals if you want, without having to reflash anything.

Yeeeahhh, didn't work...
I did just notice that whenever I messed with the file name, my shortcuts for dialer and contacts disappeared, linked apps, I guess. I'll have to mess with it later, leaving work in a minute.
If anyone else wants to try, try dialer.apk, contacts.apk, and contactsprovider.apk all at once. Try changing the file name of dialer.apk to phone.apk, or opposite, I don't have time to mess with it right now.
Hey im pretty new to android and only 16 and don't know much besides a few basic things but I do happen to have a lot of time on my hands so ill make my own attempts on making the stock dialer and contacts work and hopefully learn more about android and eventually make my own ROM when I feel like I fully understand everything. Hopefully within the next few months I could have an active role within the dev community. Anyone with important tips on anything at all that could help my efforts please pm me!
Lock Screen?
Any way to get the default ICS lock screen? That would rock.

I can only get v2 working on original 1 click, still updates dialer for the most part.
v3 has more, and should work will any of the newer roms, seen confirmed on MHXs superlite. It is a theme, not a new APK, but over-all gives the desired affect.

Hi fellow xda,
If you like Samsung Rom, but do not like parts of its apps/UI as I do. Here're something we can do; kitkat-like status bar and GPE dialer.
Kitkat white battery, wifi, and other status icons. Integrated Data/Wifi with Service icon:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
GPE dialer from 4.3 i9505GUEUBMH5: enabled Auto Complete, fixed forced close on rejected call:
Download for stock deodexed XXUEMJ7:
Status bar: mj7-systemui-kk-signed.zip
Dialer/Contact: mj7-gpe-dialer-signed.zip
Download for stock deodexed XXUEMK8:
Status bar: mk8_kitkat-sysui_noampm.zip: + black status bar, clock without am/pm.
Dialer/Contact: mk8-gpe-dialer-signed.zip + enable CRT screen off.
Bonus:
AOSP lockscreen for MK8: mk8-aosp-lockscreen-signed.zip Change settings in Settings > My device > Lock screen > Unlock effect > None.
Warning:
Dialer Package includes modified services.jar which skip signature check, this package replaces SecContacts.apk with Contacts.apk and Dialer.apk. Contacts app will forced close continuously until you navigate to Settings > More > Application Manager > All > Contacts and clear its cache.
Dialer app won't show in app drawer, you have to use quickshortcutmaker of similar app to create a shortcut for home screen.
Side note: Samsung command like *#0011# *#0*# .. works because the dialer is from Samsung GPE

All dev here at XDA and other place around the globe, I forgot the source... I'll find it later.
As precaution, please make usual backup. I'm not responsible for boot loop/brick result from above packages :cyclops:

You can search here how to compile/recompile... and for touchwiz rom, just add the framework.apk and twframework.apk. And what I've changed are the icons located in \res\drawable-xxhdpi and for the integrated signal and data, I've change res\layout\signal_cluster_view.xml. I attach the file here so you can compare the different.
Please keep in mind that the spacing in this file fit with signal bar icons I replaced.

If you meant the font in transparent status bar in my screen shot, it's because I use Xposed framework and Wanam exposed to use Condensed font. But kitkat also release new thin/light/condensed fonts... to me, I don't see any different but if you want you can check in my attachment.

I don't have any 4.4 dialer. What you see here is only 4.4 google home, or maybe you mean something else?

You can search here how to compile/recompile... and for touchwiz rom, just add the framework.apk and twframework.apk. And what I've changed are the icons located in \res\drawable-xxhdpi and for the integrated signal and data, I've change res\layout\signal_cluster_view.xml. I attach the file here so you can compare the different.

Android 4.4 isn't here yet but it isn't hard to get everything or almost everything it has got.So get these apps and watch the video to help you out.This is only for root users.You can't eat your cake and have it. #CM10.2 or AOSP/KP roms.Gravity box status bar tweaks work with stock though.

Sweet.
Wow. The theme looks great. Thanks for sharing!
Do you have anything to completely transform the UI to AOSP. I remember having AOSP themes for SystemUI and Framework-res for my old S3. Can't see anything for the G2.

Yea on Stock LG rom, you can use Xposed G2 Settings to get transparencies for Nova Launcher and download the KitKat Nova Theme = Done.

Malladus ROM > v1.2.1 has KitKat icons for status bar. So G2 Xposed for the transparencies on Apex = Done!
I never thought I'd run a stock LG ROM over CM/AOSP but with Xposed its stupid to give up the IR blaster and LG camera etc. imo.
But we have the camera and remote on aosp

Those are both in AOSP. The reason I'm on stock rom is the battery. I get like 2 days of heavy usage. Cm, PA and slimbean I only get less than a day. Any suggestions?

I use many Lg apps on aosp without issues.Calculator,recorder camera,remote and it has better battery life.For speed it blows away every LG rom(animations are smooth and not messed up) and definitely apps open up quicker.
nice !! it's really beautiful , thanks :good:

Kickoff's QuickSettings Mod
This thread has been separated from Hid3rs thread where I posted my mods first.
HTC Sense 5 style quick settings panel.
Hid3rs' beautiful work brought me to the idea to develop something similar with the look of other device theming (HTC, Samsung maybe later). Since I liked the HTC horizontal EQS icons (Sense 5) very much I started to learn the structure of the LGSystemUI.apk and several theming methods. I have to note that I am a beginner in terms of theming, but the result of my first project seems to be fine... If an experienced coder could help me to get the full panel including HTC stock background pngs, I would be very grateful.
First of all I have to thank to Hid3rs who helped me a lot. The base of this mod was his work.
The HTC icons come from several source, they are mainly stock. Some of them was edited by Basil. Many thanks for his permission. The missing LG icons and animations have been made by me.

ClodyFlex 2.4
CloudyPro II 2.2

Thanks to manuelmagix here is a version without resources that should work with stock based ROMs like the MagixROM.
Redesigned icons and animations for G3 ROMs.
Download
Flashable stock SystemUI from CloudyG3 1.1
NEW!
G3 Colorful Notification Panel .
I have prepared a slightly modified notification panel for CloudyG3 1.1. The icons are stock but colorized. Works on CloudyG3 1.2 as well.
Download
New version with bigger (168x168) icons (looks really cool!) [07.07.14]
Download
Installation
Simply flash the *.zip in your recovery. In case of CloudyFlex and the G3 versions it will flash a new LGSystemui.apk, the other versions only modify it partly.
Please make a nandroid backup first and keep Hid3rs' corresponding version on your SDCard for emergency cases. Or follow his description how to install the stock SystemUI back.
Enjoy! Your feedback is very appreciated.
@devs: if you want to use this please PM me first. Thx.
Thanks very much looks great!

I am using Energy rom, it is JB, went ahead and flashed anyway and can confirm that it doesn't work for this rom, but when I do finally move over to a KK rom I will try again, definitely like the colored icons, need more colored icon themes like this, as for AOSP and basic Android menus, they need colored icons as well.
Thanks.

Hey Kickoff I noticed that your CloudyPro zip does not have the proper themed images... it just has the G3 flat icons... although your CloudyStock version has the proper images...
