Hey all,
Actually i am new to this forum and also in changing phone OS .
I want to downgrade my phone from lollipop 5.1 to kitkat 4.4.4 . About my phone : My phone is moto E first generation and currently running on lollipop 5.1 which i recieve through OTA. My phone is never Rooted or unlocked or done anyother thing . this is first time for me and for my phone.
Now i want to downgrade it due to slow processing after upgrading to lollipop.
i had three things root, unlock boot loader and TWRP(which i have heard is good). Is it necessary to root or unlockboot loader or both for downgrading , If Yes , how to do that .... and after that steps of downgrading with all the softwares required for downgrading .
Please help me i am fully frustated with lollipop 5.1 .
Thanks

Its me again
My question is
Im going to use the 5.0 of Motorola when its officialy release
Im in CM12 actually
But i already have the 41.18 (5.0.1) bootloader
And i only can downgrade my xt1032 to 4.4.2, but i have to update to 4.4.4 first but i think i cant because of the GPT/Bootloader.
Is there any way to skip 4.4.4 or is there a 4.4.4 image for the xt1032 because i havent found anyone yet
Be very careful about what you do from this point. Some people have hard-bricked their phones by walking the road you are on. Their phones are useless until factory firmware images are available.
I suggest you wait until there is a full firmware image for Stock Lollipop. When available, it will be announced here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546251&page=11
Thank you mate ?
Hi , sorry if my english is not perfect (i'm french) , i'll make it quick
A couple of Day's ago , i successfully unlocked my bootloader , converted my moto g to GPE 4.4.2 and updated it to 4.4.4 (official OTA) .
After that i try the 5.0.1 update but it didn't work and soft bricked my phone . I successfully unbricked it and i try to convert my phone to Non-GPE and i made it .
My phone was in 4.4.2 non-GPE firmware and i try to install the 4.4.4 OTA update , but during the update almost finished the phone turned off (i was thinking that the update was finished and i was waiting for the reboot) .
So my phone is hard bricked but i wasn't on lollipop (and the update failed) , i tried this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-revive-hard-bricked-moto-g-t2833798
But i have the "error reading packet" problem with blankflash .
I need help please , what can i do ? try an other method ? wait for official 5.0 release by motorola ? Go to SAV ?
Thanks

Hello Android gurus
I tried to find the answer to my problem in the other threads, but I'm still not 100% sure if I should proceed.
. I had rooted xt1032 moto g prior to 5.0.2 OTA that came out yesterday.
I used full unroot with supersu prior to applying the OTA thinking it would be ok. I guess I screwed up, my phone is soft bricked.
I can get in stock recovery but otherwise it is on boot loop and ends up with 'no command'.
I have the moving line problem on the bootloader white screen which seems to imply a diferent version of kernel and bootloader, (which I do not full understand)
.. Which makes we wonder if it is unsafe to flash the stock rom 4.4.4 image of my phone.
And if it is safe, will I be able to update via OTA after that?
What are my options? Thanks in advance!
The moving line issue is probably due to the fact that you have the 41.18 bootloader on your phone.
I also have a Koodo xt1032 with the 41.18 bootloader and was able to flash back to stock Telus 4.4.4. Do not flash stock 4.4.2 as other XDA members have said that flashing 4.4.2 would brick your phone.
I'm checking for OTA updates but I keep getting the message that my phone's software is up to date.
So while on stock android L 5.0.2 i was unable to install a custom rom either it being bootlooped or getting an error while installing, so i found a video that hepled me downgrade back to stock android 4.4.2 kk after downgrading I've noticed that it wasn't the u.s version of stock it was im assuming the international version. Which i guess doesn't allow you to upgrade to lollipop the build number is KOT49L.D80020Y. So then i assumed i was stuck on kk so i found a couple roms and downloaded them they all installed without a hitch but none of the ones on lollipop have working data connection which is kinda big for me. I have a backup from stock android L saved on my computer(cause i thought you could install that on the device like a rom) but it doesn't show up in twrp. Are there any stable lollipop roms for the lg g2? If not is there anyway to restore the backup i have on my computer to the phone advice would be greatly appreciated.
I updated my xt1033 to lollipop 5.1 from 5.0.2 several days ago then downgraded to 4.4.4 without flashing bootloader files. Then now wanted to install 5.1. But mobile haven't detected the 5.1 (blur....) update file. so thought to install 5.0.2 then 5.1 :silly: . While installing 5.0.2 it got bricked. Then only came to know that 5.1's bootloader cannot be downgraded to 5.0.2's . What to do??? Quick help is appreciated bkz i don't have another mobile.
