[Completed] G3 Tmobile, TWRP Boot Loop, No OS, Rooted, Lollipop Update OTA, - XDA Assist

Hello, I heard on the news that hackers are getting into androids and they need to be updated. So i decided that I would update it to lollipop finally and then figure out root later. Well I downloaded the update clicked install and it rebooted to TWRP and would not do anything. I downloaded and installed what I believe is the lollipop stock rom downloaded in the link below. I plugged my phone in the computer and there is absolutely nothing on it; 25 gig out of 25 gig. I am not sure what to install, when I tried to install the stuff in the below link it shows it installs but when i reboot it goes straight to TWRP and the phone still shows empty. Should I install stock kitkat files for Tmobile? I appreciate the help I always find help on this website, however, I have not found this fix yet.
Thanks!

[Q] Stuck at LG logo

Hello, so I am having a bit of a crisis. LEt me start by giving a brief description of what has been done to the phone...
LG G2 ATT (d800) running 4.4.2 OTA.
Was rooted AFTER the OTA update.
I tried to install a custom recovery first by using ROM Manager to install from the phone itself. The stock recovery was intact as of this point, as ROM manager just flat didn't work. My next move was to follow the thread found here...http://theunlockr.com/2013/11/03/flash-custom-recovery-lg-g2-versions-video/
That is were I started seeing issues. The phone no longer was able to boot into recovery at all. I received the "secure boot error". So I took another approach.
I followed the post found here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
This is where I am now. The phone is stuck on the LG boot screen. I suspect my problem began when I used the files found on that post for the d802 instead of my d800. However, ubuntu will not recognize my phone now. Download mode will not help, it appears.
I think the solution may lie in the post found here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The issue I am seeing with this is that I cannot see the COM ports within device manager to set the correct port. I will post in that thread as well, just to reach as many people as I possibly can.
WHAT DO I DO.
Thank you for your future help.

[Completed] [Q] CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP? LG G2 D800 having SERIOUS ISSUES/PROBLEMS

Hello all. I am a relatively new member to XDA and I have actually posted this issue on the thread to from which I downloaded the custom ROM I'm running. I am using and LG G2 D800 running [ROM][5.0][CM12][UNOFFICIAL][ALL-VARIANTS] CyanogenMod 12.0 For The LG G2, which I installed about a month ago. I originally rooted my phone using towelroot and installed TWRP custom recovery 2.7.0.0. I installed 3 or 4 other custom ROMS, using just my phone, that I honestly had no idea how to root using a computer. Since, then I have learned and acquired the tools I need to root from my computer, and after trying for quite some time, was able to find drivers for my phone that allowed my computer to recognized it.
There are 2 main problems that arose about a day after installing this ROM.
Firstly, after I had installed all of the pertinent files needed to flash the above ROM, I attempted to install the beta version of SU that the thread related to the above ROM said was necessary to keep root. Well, that version did not install correctly, though the ROM did install and is working about as well as an experimental version of a ROM can....
Once the ROM had been running for about a day or so, I realized how buggy it was and decided that it would be smart to go back to a more stable ROM as Lollipop was just around the corner(Or at least a stable CM12).
So, I went to go back into my TWRP custom recovery to do a wipe then install another ROM that I had backed up. When I attempted to do this, I realized the 2nd BIG PROBLEM, my phone had stopped recognizing my internal sd card, so I was unable to view any Backups I had previously saved. So, I started researching and found the the adb shell code to get my phone to recognize my sd card, but when I tried to use the command to do so, I was given the reply that su(part of the command) could not be found. So, I posted again, and was told,"you need to re-root." Well, that is good and well, but I have tried every method I can find to root my phone from my PC, but they are all for LG G2 D800 running some lesser version of android, never 5.0....
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and oh yeah, I was able to get the new Beta super SU file pushed onto my phone and saved in the remaining space it does recognize, but I couldn't actually install it to give me SU priveleges again. Basically, if I can re-root, I can get my SD card back, do a full wipe, then install another more stable ROM ASAP>
Thanks again, so so very much. Please, Please help me get this phone working. I'm feeling more and more like a fool everyday knowing Im paying for a phone I can barely even use....
Happy Holidays,
Thad

[Completed] Galaxy S4 Active Help multiple issues

Hello all i am posting this to get some help on a few issues i am having currently. I have a Galaxy S4 active running on straight talk, and i am trying to flash it back to 4.4.2 NE3 so that I can root it. The process i am using to flash it is with Jodin3. I proceed to set jodin up and press start and it just sits there doing nothing. i have tried this all day to no avail. I only run jodin because I only have a mac and my windows laptop has bit the dust and is no longer in operation. The whole thing that started this is that the 5.0 update has come available and the update fails to install after 29%. This did it after the last update but i managed to flash it to the current 4.4.2 NH3. what bothers me is that i flash over a stock non rooted rom and it is no letting me upgrade. So know i am at the point where i just want to be able to be rooted with current firmware, and also figure out why jodin is not working. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

[Completed] [Q] Can I update android version after rooting, if so how ?

Today when I decided to update to the latest android (5.1.1) with rooted nexus 5. I rebooted
my phone and it started installing when suddenly a picture of the android robot with a red triangle sign on top appears and under it it says error so I restarted my phone by holding down the power button for several seconds and when I get in to my phone it says that I'm updated to 5.1. But what I understand that's correct so now I'm wondering how to deal with future updates because I can't afford to brick my phone and I thought I could just download OTA updates normally after root so my question is, can I normally install OTA updates, if not How?
[Edit]Later today I got the update to 5.1.1 message again and its really annoying and I want the update now so how do I get it?
Thanks for reading.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. No, you can't use the OTA if your rooted with 5.x and above. To update you'll most likely need to flash the stock frimware. but you never let us know what your device is so i can't point you in the right direction.

Thank you for answering, I have a nexus 5 but I guess I´ll have to flash the stock firmware if there is no other way that isn´t too complicated.
All right. You'll want to see these, http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-nexus-5-ota-help-desk-t2523217 , http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-nexus-5-ota-help-desk-t2523217 It's possible to update by only flashing the system, boot, and radio images files with fastboot. You'll lose root but you can easily regain it by flashing supersu in your custom recovery.
Also don't forget there's a complete forum for the Nexus 5 here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5

I just spent 2 hours trying to flash the system but all i ended up with was a factory reset after following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701 so all i want to do now is just getting rid of root so I can update but the guides that i understand doesn´t work because when I tried to flash the hammerhead bootloader it said the my device requires another version. The i took the version that my nexus is in right now 5.1.0 and it appeared to be working so when it was finished I followed the guide and i wiped my system for about 5 minutes and then i chose reboot system from the recovery mode menu. And now im back at where i started.
(Edit) Now I´m installing SDK and following another guide online http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/b...-lollipop-factory-image-on-your-nexus-device/
It turns out all i had to do was to unlock my phone and then I installed 5.1.1 just fine
Yep, that's the first step. Glad you got it working. I'll close this thread.

[Completed] Yes it's that thread again...No operating system

Iv seen plenty of threads about this but can seem to find a straight answer for my issue specifically.
Like an idiot I wiped the system and internal storage, hence having no OP.
It's also saying my phone is no longer rooted and tries to install superSU but obviously fails.
I currently have no access to a laptop, just my android tablet. Am I able to download firmware and flash it while in twrp in order to boot back into the standard Sony Z2 android software. My model number is D6503
