Hello everybody,
during summer I subsequently move between the city with 4G and a rural locality where only 2G of my carrier, Bitė, is present. There were no problems during the first month (I used Chroma), but after Multirom usage (when kernel is replaced) I get no signal in the rural area. Once I reach 3G/4G-covered are, everything is OK, though.
But there are some mystics about the countryside area - the phone can`t get any signal even of Omnitel (4G) and Tele2 (3G) at all! Every other mobile appliance works fine here, so it`s not a cellular network fault.
I reinstalled stock ROM and radio back in the city, but it gives THE SAME RESULTS in 2G area.
What could be the problem? And which way would be the best to solve it?

I really have problem with the g1 network coverage. I am in india and the operator I use is a good one. I get only 2 bars on my phone whereas it is full bars on my another sony ericcsson phone. Out of 100 calls there are 90 call drops. It is like a nightmare for me. Every time I lose network coverage and have to go to operator selection in setting. There I clearly see the network. G1 does'nt connext to network automatically. I have tried everything from reflashing to a wipe. Tried other operator too. No luck. Anybody experiencing same problem? Anybody knowing any solution to the problem. Really bad for me. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are the Group of 5 People Owing G1 in Nashik, Maharashtra and almost all operators are running without any Problem in 2G Network.
Airtel, Idea, Reliance GSM and BSNL works flawlessly
1) How can I tell if my phone is running on a 3.5G network? I am on T-Mobile in Virginia Beach, VA.
2) I know there are different bands out there for different carriers, so can I change to a band that can get me better 3G coverage? I have slooooow 3G coverage where I am right now.
Any help in the right direction would be awesome, and don't be afraid to dumb it down for me. I am getting pretty savvy on all this phone stuff, but bands still elude me.

until recently, 3.5G was known as HSPA7.2. If your device shows "H", then your device can use the HSPA (real) speeds.
If so, and your browsing is slow, then this is mainly due to saturation and low signal strength, but exists more factors.
To use another bands, you must change the service provider (and change your device). No manually way to do it.

I recently visited Jacksonville Florida where my CM7 Rom showed me I was running on 4g. When I came back home to Virginia Beach it is showing me a H. Stock rom shows me as 4g but CM7 still shows me as H (HSPA). Is this truly telling me that I am operating on 3.5G network here in Virginia Beach?
I'm experiencing radio dropouts quite frequently. My signal will go from almost full strength to lost signal, and then a few minutes later the signal will return again.
This does not seem to be ROM dependent, as have used several to see if the situation improves, which it does not. Currently using Reaper 3.
I'm on Vodafone UK and was wandering if anyone else has come accross the same issue, or alternatively if you are on Vodafone UK and don't have the issue, then which radio are you using ?

Same in Slovakia with O2 network. Sometimes H to 3g to E to dropout and signal returns after while.

under settings switch to 2g only, i suppose ur area has but weak 3g signal.
at home i switch to only 2g as my area has but weak 3g, making my signal on and off.
I'm from india.
Im using BSNL carrier on nexus 5. I have kinda strange problem on my phone. When i select only 2G mode i am not getting any signal.but if i change it to 3G or LTE im getting 3g signal. But in some areas in city 3G not available only 2G is available but im not getting 2G signal. I changed carrier to IDEA and VODAFONE still facing same problem.2G not working only 3g.
But in airtel and reliance 2G working ok.
For solution i have flashed new rom but not working also flashed RADIO files provided in xda forum but still same problem.
If u have any idea what to do please tell me.im about to swith my carrier due to this..

My oneplus one has a issue for a long time. I live in Turkey and using a network provider named "Avea". With di.3.0 alpha baseband I get no reception no matter what I do, however its like a bug. my sim service trying to reconnect every 5 seconds like in loop.
The issue is: In my country we still have 3G not LTE. and still in many areas beacuse of our networks are so not strong our phones got Edge signal. The problem on my opo is I only have 3G, my 2G band is lost. My GSM band is lost too. If choose another prefered network type instead of 3G my network is lost.
I guess this loss of bands on my phone, DI3.0 baseband modem is not working too. How can I bring back my 2G and GSM bands ?
