Wrong section mate .
This belongs in Q&A.
It is possible , go for a stock based rom like Krypton , don't update the bootloader

u can use fastboot to flash "system, boot "partition of official Android4.4.4 and roll back

[Q] Downgrade from GPE 5.0.1 to 4.4.4 EU KitKat

Hi,
i'm new here and i hope you understand my bad english.
I've recently updated my XT1032 single-sim Moto G to GPE 5.0.1 (following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/gpe-ota-lrx21z-5-0-1-xt1033-xt1032-t2969847) and i'd like to revert it to original FR KitKat build or at least to EU version because I hope that one of them will be update OFFICIALY to 5.0.2 via OTA in next days. Is it possible? Could I brick my device? Otherwise is it possible to flash the new 5.0.2 BR version? If yes should I flash modem package to use it in my EU country (Italy)??? My goal is to use an official and fully working 5.0.2 stock rom.
Many thanks in advance!

[Q] 5.1.1 modem

Currently on stock EE Rom but with AOE3 modem and bootloader flashed. Will the 5.1.1 modem work/flash ok on a 5.0.2 build and would I need to flash the bootloader at the same time? Would this then possibly stop me from flashing back to a stock 5.0.2 Rom? Thanks

I flashed only 5.1.1 modem (BL remain 5.0.2), working well, but you cannot downgrade to 5.0.2. Now I m using 5.0.2 with 5.1.1 modem!
Thanks ?

[Completed] Moto x 2013 !

GUys i have unlocked bootloader on my moto x (2013) XT1052 ..Will i get future updates from google ? and what is the latest version of android ?
Usually after you root you lose OTA updates, because OTAs will unroot your phone or fail to update if you're on a custom recovery.
Latest version from what i can tell is 5.1 for your device

Boost moto g lollipop OTA

Just got an OTA from boost for my xt1031. The version is 221.21.56. Looks like it is the 5.1.1 update. Anyone got this too? Is there a official stock rom (zip) from boost on this version?
Update and let us know which update exactly it is.
It's Android 5.1
