Got offered this case to do a review.
Basic Specs:
- 4200 mAh
- comes in 2 colors. (red and blue)
- bright LED to indicate charge %
- matte finish
- slim profile
- kickstand
Pros:
- material feels great in hand
- cutout speaker holes on the bottom
- slim profile. i'd consider it a "perfect" fit for my hand.
- easy accessible buttons (volume, home, power)
- great protection for the camera.
- relatively light
Cons:
- sides are exposed. (very minimal protection)
- kickstand is flimsy..
Final Thoughts:
The case charges my phone at speed, in my standards. Though it does not charge as fast as my 2.0 fast adaptive charger it certainly does the job. I'd say the charger lasts me 2~3 days with well OVER 10 hours of SOT. (at average). I'm a power user so I like to keep 4g, wifi, sync, and etc on most of the time. This case does not come with its own charger, so you'll have to utilize your s6 charger. If you do not mind the bit of extra "weight" and "bulk" in your pockets, this charger is a definite go.

I just got one from eBay (item #380220917667)
The good:
- super quick delivery!
- long battery life
- cheap!
- should work with most docks (though the dock I ordered hasn't arrived yet)
The bad:
- serious vignetting on camera
- the phone feels weird in hand because of battery hump, but it is a trade-off
The ugly:
- really ugly
In the end I don't need to use it everyday, I bought it mostly for whole day trips when I want to stay online for all day.
And I just found out that Mugen Power batteries are out but even more expensive than Seidio ;(
I've bought batteries from Lion Battery and found that they are a good value. I just bought two myself. Thanks for the heads up on it.
Wonder whether this battery will go well with the Seidio extended battery cover, think I'd the Seidio one due to the balance (this one doesn't look like it extends to cover the bottom of the phone) and the noise cancelling mic hole on the Seidio one (doesn't look like this cover has it!).
Now we just need a shoot out between this battery and the Seidio 3200 ;P

First Impressions
The weight is approximately twice of stock. Battery feels nice and solid. Seems to have a rather quality finish as compared to most generic chinese batteries.
Does not work with most cases. Needs to get one of those extended battery silicone case. I was used to using a TPU case and now without it, it kinda feels slippery.
Needs some buffer between the battery and the replacement cover. There is a gap hence it depresses when you apply a force. Simple fix by shoving something with the approximate thickness of an sd card.
For some reason it doesn't work with my wireless adapter so I removed it.
Very unscientific battery tests
Stock drains about 1% per 3mins when browsing internet etc
This battery drains about 1% per 5mins when browsing internet etc.
Since we ideally get about 5 hours screen on time,
I expect to get an ideal of about 8+hours of screen on time with this battery which is not bad at all

-The case is very sturdy it would break easily I even done a few drop tests and it keep my phone protected even though it's not made for it.
-The battery is well made not one of those cheap leaking ones it's just as good in design if not better than stock Samsung.
-The charger is very well made and I have tested it on both stock battery and the 3500mAh one no problems.

This is the best battery I have ever had out of all the others I have looked at and tried and I've had bad ones and good ones even leaky ones but this one comes out on top. Sure it has its flaws but so does any product, its doesn't feel flimsy or cheap and offers a good value for anyone looking for a replacement battery. Would I recommend this to my friends heck yea in fact I recommend everyone looking for a replacement to look at one of these and with the price and free shipping its a steal. I am sorry for the focusing it was taken with another fascinate the best camera I have.
I ordered mine from tmart though the product can be located elsewhere shipping was fantastic and packaging was great came unharmed.:highfive:

Nice review brad, I have multiple batteries for my fassy, stock, a Samsung Epic 4g 1800 ( fits perfectly) 2 ANKER 1800 ( came with charger) and also the 3500 which you reviewed. Mine didn't come with a charger though but they will fit in my Anker charger. They make phone fatter but its OK. I wish I could find a silicon cover for the back though. Other than that I'm very pleased with them. :thumbup:

The 3500 comes with its own back, it is thicker. The epic 1800 and Anker ones fit under the original back.

I think Samsung built the NFC antenna into the battery in order to limit people getting batteries from 3rd party sources. It appears that UNU does a nice trick here where they simply put their battery in the original spot with contacts sticking out. Then you put the original battery, with the NFC into the contacts on their battery... thereby maintaining the NFC antenna. Good idea.
The only problem is wireless charging.... most 3rd party cards are built to lay flat against the inside. Their contacts wouldn't reach to the contacts on the phone with the double thick battery.
My guess is that it also doesn't maintain IP67 rating.
I just want an extended battery that maintains NFC, IP67 rating, and can be wirelessly charged. Oh... and preferably not TOO much thicker. Is that too much to ask??

Got mine today, the case doubles the phone in thickness. Feels weird at first. After 12 hours of using it, I got used to it.

I haven't noticed any difference. The thickness is mostly air except where your original battery sticks in the little adapter, which is offset from the battery slot slightly.

AWESOME battery case. I tested it for UNU and must say, I would have paid the full price for the case. It's is about double the thickness of the phone with the case on. It does have a nice rounded back however so it doesn't feel big in the hands by any means. With the case I was able to get about 36 hours of battery life with full screen brightness, gps on and consistently looking for service (no service inside the college). I had about 7 1/2 hours of on screen time as well. Another awesome feature is that your phone automatically recognizes the bigger battery and displays the correct percent of battery. Plus it is a legitimate case for some protection as well. I'll post some pictures of the case on the phone tonight if you'd like.
I Beta tested this case, I was not thrilled with it. You lose waterproof capability, it is very slick and a fingerprint magnet. The bumper cracked at the bottom by the charging port. I dropped it by accident and everything fell apart, had to put it all back together and reboot phone. The buttons can be activated in your pocket, many times I heard my phone beeping just to find it was trying to unlock. YMMV, glad I got it free I used it for 5 days to test it, and havent used it since. The only plus is it does give you better battery life they say its 100% more but I only saw a 60-70% improvement.

This is a quality product from Choetech. I received my review unit and overall, it far surpassed my expectations. Here are some things I liked/may not have preferred:
Pros:
1. Stylish, sleek, elegant design
2. Minimalistic yet effective packaging
3. The cord fits in my microUSB with a Spigen case no problems (for those with Spigen cases, you know the port cut out is quite tight and most cords are too big to fit without taking off the case
Cons (specifically related to my PERSONAL preferences):
1. The included cord is not as long as the original OEM Samsung cord which tends to get difficult to maneuver when I'm charging the device and using it in bed.
2. The USB input port on the wall charging puck is place on top which causes the cord to bend to the left while I'm laying in bed. This could eventually damage the cord due to prolonged bending.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I would definitely recommend their products to others.
I tested this charger with my phone and 2 Kindle Readers. Everything charged very quickly but the Qualcomm compatible phone which would ordinarily take 2 hours and 20 minutes to charge from the 40% level on a standard charge, took about an hour and a half with the CHOE charger. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QTJZ3D0

Sounds good, fitting with a Spigen case is a plus because I always order chargers that have wide rubber (aux cords too).
