[Completed] Problem with widgets in Nova launcher - XDA Assist

Why are some widgets zoomed in Nova launcher?
I.e. the Android Central widget, and Sunrise calendar.
I recently got a Galaxy S6 and installed Nova on it. With standard TouchWiz I can see much more content in some widgets (they are zoomed out). With Nova I can only see a fraction of the content in the same widgets (zoomed in). While testing this I'm using 5x5 icon grid in both launchers (and changing layout doesn't help).
For example, the Android Center widget needs a 5x2.5 grid in Nova to show roughly the same content as a 4x2 grid in TouchWiz.
Is there some option I've missed in Nova?
Another question about Nova - if I buy Prime can I get unread counts on app icons like Outlook, Skype, Messenger, Facebook, etc?
Thanks

Screenshot added. The widgets with same layout in TouchWiz has smaller fonts and shows more content (less zoomed in).
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S6

No one with a suggestion or solution?
With big issues like this I can't see why Nova is so popular :-/

Hi,
First please read our sticky thread named "The purpose of XDA Assist". Secondly please post you issue in the dedicated thread for Nova launcher where you will receive more accurate answers from the experts. Here:

Scrollable Widgets for Launcher Pro Beta

I can't seem to find any good quality scrollable widgets. I realize most home screens do not support this, but it appears that Launcher Pro Beta does have the option to enable scrollable widgets now.
There are a few applications that I think would be VERY useful with scrollable widgets and wondering if anyone has run across these or any developers that would want to take on this project.
1. Calender application. A scrollable calender (Android Agenda Widget?) would be awesome.
2. An application dock that allows you to scroll through an application list.
Any ideas as to why these things have been developed or if people are working on them?
Email/SMS/Facebook/Twitter scrollable widgets would also be useful.
I'd like to know of one scrollable widget so I could test it out tbh
Pure Messenger widget supports scrolling.
Yeah I hope development picks up on this for sure. Pure messenger is pretty sick.... But it needs friends!
Agenda, contacts, google reader ap anyone?

did you try sliding the launcherpro "dock" to the side already? don't if that's what you want
I do like the new dock on the bottom and how you can add more shortcuts.
And like Trill said, a google RSS reader with a scrollable widget would be amazing. Or how about a slickdeals scrollable widget. Or sports scores scrollable widget. Soooo many options!
I suppose you could use Flyscreen for all of that... Although it seems to cause more delays unlocking the more widgets are loaded.

[NSFW] Post your Screenie for LauncherPRO ONLY !

There are threads for posting your screenshots but there are so many different launchers i figured i would make one for the one of the hottest launchers currently .. and that is for Launcher Pro .. i have been a longtime sense launcher person and finally moving over to launcher pro .. i think i found widgets to take over my sense widgets ... so this thread will also help those that are also looking for a change in launcher ...
All i ask everyone is to post your Launcher Pro screenshot only and please leave a small description under the pic of what u are using .. so we dont have tons of threads asking .. what are u using?
If at all possible even add links to where u received icons from etc .. if a simple search on the market doesnt bring it up ...
so lets all share our customizations !

Everyone, PLEASE TRY AND FOLLOW THIS FORMAT
I don't have much time this month, or I would write a short tutorial on how to get started. Maybe someone else can do that. But here is my setup:
The icons for the folders created by App Organizer can be found here:
http://www.iconfinder.com/search/?q=iconset:obsidianus
I'm also using LauncherPro. The icons in my dock are from a theme called ReText that was on the iPhone. The iPhone uses the .png extension, which is also recognized by the Android system. The theme can be found here:
http://macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16785319&p=1
It should come with the psd file for photoshop so you can write your own text. I never used photoshop before but I messed with it for 1-2 hours and figured it out. I re-made all those icons in my dock because the original files made the text look too small. If I change the wallpaper to a red theme, then I'm able to go back and change the first letter color to red (from the teal color you see). My icons I made for the dock as requested: http://www.2shared.com/file/yYKE-uPp/Archive.html
My actual dock is found in LauncherPro. It's the Froyo Wide dock.
My weather is Fancy Weather widget, but it's been pulled from the the market. I still prefer to use that because you can tap certain parts and it will open programs. My clock opens up my alarm. The calendar date opens my calendar. The weather opens up to a forecast.
Must have programs on the Android to be able to pull this off easier are:
LauncherPro
App Organizer
Then you can add different widgets from the market to fill out your screens. There are a lot of good hidden ones, so keep browsing till you see something you like. There are a lot of good themes out there that you can flash, but nothing I prefer to have on my phone for the long run. That's when I learned to do it on my own and just change icons and create folders.
I'm still working on this, but it's what I'm satisfied with for now.
I don't remember where I got the wallpaper, but I can send it to anyone who wants it.

whoops, in my hurry, i forgot to include details (thanks sweteg for noticing ):
i'm using battstatt for the battery counter, digital clock widget for the clock, and the news and weather widget for the weather. obviously, there's pandora, and the dock is from launcher pro. the icons are default launcherpro.
hope that helps!
My Screen
1) SwitchPro Widget 1.81 with 4G available for EVO only
2) Twicca twitter widget

Shift, it'd be nice if you post how you did everything and links if you can. I doubt the OP wants to turn this into another post a screen thread like in the sticky.

yep, metamorph. i think you can apply the same transparency to pandora, so i'm going to figure that out tonight. i'll post up an updated pic later today or tomorrow with detailed links.
Sense Analog Clock Widget (this is the name; it isn't actually Sense)
WeatherBug Elite
Extended Controls
3banana Notes
And of course the icons at the bottom link to Phone, Gmail, Handcent, and Dolphin Browser HD. I really wish I could find a new clock widget that was more customizable but didn't have weather. None of the Beautiful Widgets or Weather and Toggle Widgets offer an option to completely hide the forecast and weather icon.

How to make widgets span 5 cells

Previously I've used the ADW launcher but have found every phone I've had become unmanageably slow over time. I've never been able to identify the problem but this time I'm trying to leave as many things stock as I can bear, starting with the launcher.
The default launches seems palatable enough but I can't workout how to resize widgets to fill the width of the screen.
Two of my favorite widgets to have on the home screen are "Fancy Widgets" (a clock/weather widget) and "Agenda Widget" (a calendar widget). Both these programs have several different sized widgets available but neither have widgets that are 5 cells wide. Is there a way to stretch the widget in the default launcher like one can in ADW?
Attached is an example of what my home screen currently looks like.
Thanks,
Slarti.
P.S.
I hope I'm asking this in the correct place.
(I wasn't able to find a Q&A section for G3 themes)
Uh, I've found that after releasing the agenda widget when dragging resize grippers become available on the corners.
This works perfectly to resize Agenda Widget to a 5x2 box.
Unfortunatly this doesn't work for Fancy Widgets.
It should be added as default feature

I think it only works for default apps in the phone.
Hmmmm

Wide Samsung Clock & Weather widget suddely disappeared from Nova Launcher

I have been using the default Samsung Clock & Weather widget for years in Nova Launcher on my Galaxy Tab S2. However, after one of the recent updates (a monyh or so ago) the widget disappeared from the screen. And it is not possible to re-add it since the built-in Weather app no longer provides that widget under Nova. The small Weather only widget is still available, but the wider Clock & Weather widget is gone.
Meanwhile, if I switch to the defualt TouchWiz launcher I can see that Weather app provides both widgets.
Apparently, it is a compatibility problem of some sort. What exactly happened here? Is there any way to restore support for Samsung Clock & Weather widget in Nova Launcher?
