Hello guys. It's ma first time writing a post. Sorry if it's not the right place for it. So here's my story:
I am from Greece. I bought a note 3 sm-n9005 LTE. It came with 4.3 jelly. After I rooted with the wrong way messing up with the knox warranty. 0×1. I have no problem with that.
A few days ago cause I couldn't wait for the official kitkat, I flashed woth odin XXUEBN4 but from France XEF. everything seems to work fine.
Should I have to flash anything else more?
Was bad flashing another country's rom??
Later I was curious what will happen if I flash the GERMAN ROM. I had problems cause a message came PROBLEM WITH THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE. then I flashed again the XEF ( FRANCE) one.
How to root? I used cf auto root but when I tried to turn it on there was a problem with the recovery. So I flashed again the France rom again. Now I am OK.
Where is my mistake?

If all you need is root, search in google, root for sm-n9005 LTE there hundreds of tutorials online.
I flashed 5.1.1 a few days ago and it has been pretty bad, for some reason whenever I flash France firmwares, my mobile data gets capped to 67 kb/s max, it doesn't happen at all on any other firmware I try, I tried settings, apn's etc, nothing has helped, now i want to flash back to 5.0.2, I downloaded four 5.0.2 firmwares and none of them work, apparently you cannot downgrade with odin (?), Is there any way out of 5.1.1? Thanks

not posible at all. Try to do a factory reset. Sorry mate.
I guess you will have to wait for the proper version of 5.1.1 to your phone to be released.
It is always nad when i see someone having problems because of flashing other country firmware ... But to be honest there should be included possibility to uninstall the last update to firmware from settings ... But I don't think that even if it would be asked from each and evry Samsung owner on the planet that Samsung or any other would give that ... Not even Google ...

Just be patient and wait for Sammobile to post the 5.1.1 update specific to your country. You can start from there.
I hope soon they will give it more to countries. ....

Hello everyone. I joined Galaxy S6 community today with the phone that I bought from a my who went to Dubai. It's G920F. It currently have 5.0.2 with baseband G920FXXU1AOE3. I'm planning to download stock 5.1.1 rom from Samfirmware and flash it through Odin. I know that It won't trip knox but I wonder if there will be any problems caused by different region roms. I also want to learn If using the device in another region block ota updates? Or I also wonder if flashing another stock rom will block ota updates. Since it's the first android device I plan to use without root, I am a bit cautious about OTA updates.
I also wonder if shutter speed settings came with 5.1.1. I tried Camera FV5 and couldn't find them
I'm thinking to flash Netherlands rom.

Flashing ROMs via odin won't trip knox. You recieve OTA updates anywhere around the world irregardless of ROM as long as its stock and knox not tripped. Here's Dubai ROM:

I have the same baseband and I'm in Europe. I would also like to flash some eur region rom and like to know if this is possible?

The first to get the update is Canada (G93xW8), followed by UK (G93xF).
Either wait for OTA, or use Odin, I've already updated my device.
