[Completed] Can't play songs in Google Music playlist - XDA Assist

An interesting oddity that just popped up: I can't play certain songs in my Thumbs-Up playlist without subscribing to Google Music. They appear to only be songs that can be matched to a counterpart on the Play Store, regardless of if I actually purchased them on Google Play. I seem to remember purchasing Twilight Zone from Google Play, so I'm not sure why it's greyed out.

Notice that it appends Smooth Criminal with the (Remastered) version, despite that not being the one I own or have in the playlist.
Trying to play one of those songs asks me if I want to play a radio of similar songs. The playlist is downloaded, this happens either on Wifi or Data, Downloaded Only mode is not on. All the songs play fine if they are in a user-created playlist, not an auto one like the Thumbs Up list. This does not happen at all on a PC.

Hi,
Try asking this question HERE and the Android users there might be able to better help you
Good luck!

Music app dev help

Hello,
I'm designing a honeycomb music app and i was wondering about ask people about there experience with music. Here is probably the perfect place to do so...
What do you think the honeycomb can be better about music? What do you expect from a tablet music app ?
I'm giving some focus on content, information and this kind of thing. I see a lot of space to just put a "play/stop" button and a nice animation on the album cover.
A list of things that a suggest to add to my player :
.sync with pc ( like winamp for android do);
. online radio;
. real info about the singer, music and maybe the music on paper to player take a look;
As reference i see the imdb app. Its really nice app, organized and functional.
I'm already doing the concept. Here some pic:

Hope you like it. I can't post lot o images or demonstrations because the app will be comercial and this kind thing, sorry.

[Q] Google Play Music

Whenever I use a playlist with Play Music, it will play one song and stop until I press the unlock/power button.
Does anyone else have this issue? It is really annoying and I'd like to make it stop.
are you running on stock?
Yes

I haven't had this exact problem either running stock, or with Sean's latest SKY ICS..
One question though - when you start a playlist, do you select "Play" from the drop down on A (the playlist title) or from B (the first song in the playlist).

}
For what it's worth, starting a song in the playlist (B) just plays that one song and then stops; I have to start the playlist (A) to get the whole thing to go.
Not sure if this is remotely like the issue you're having but I thought I'd check!
Ah maybe that's the issue, I feel stupid.
I still wonder why unlocking it makes the next song play though?

[Q] Does this happen to anyone else on GPM?

I have a playlist of music that is downloaded to my devices, and also have music on my SD card. When I go to My Music however, my download playlist is greyed out, only allowing me to play my local music:

Is there a way to fix this? It's dumb that I can't have a playlist of both...

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Are you using a cloud based playlist? I.E. Google Play Music? If so, it's because your internet connection on your phone isn't connected to a fast mobile network/WiFi. It may require being on WiFi and you have to upload all those songs to the cloud service.
Which would make sense. Except I am downloading those playlists to my phone.

[APP][Google Pixel 2] Now Playing Register - Save your music

The app is called Now Playing Register. With it, you can find the old songs recognized by Now Playing even if they’re gone days ago. Just open the app and you’ll see a register of all the songs you heard since this app were installed.
“Now Playing Register” will remind for you all the songs you listened to. The only thing that you have to care about is to install this app.

Now with this app you can export your song list to html and see it on your PC
We have been working to have new functions. For now it is for the selected beta testers but the update will come soon. We can not wait to see what you think of the changes!!
Now Playing + All your music services = Now Playing Register
Added support for Apple Music and new APIs for the covers.

Bluetooth syncs with 2 Speakers at the same time..

You can sync 2 bluetooth speakers and play music, both playing the same song on each speaker, like having a right channel and left channel, essentially listening in "stereo!"
Super cool, been wanting the ability to do this since bluetooth speakers came to market, super surprised when the A71 5G, asked if I wanted to do this.
I synced two bluetooth speakers and got a pop-up that asked if I wanted to play them both at the same time. That brought me to a screen named "media," there I could select both speakers and adjust their volume so they'll play at the same time.
Best feature so far of this phone for me!
Check out the screen shots I attached.

This is also useful if you want to watch a movie with a friend while on a plane, and each of you have your own BT headphones.
