Incorrect battery life

Hey guys, it seems as though right after I installed the 3.28 HardSPL by jocky that the battery percentage displayed on the phone is incorrect. I see that using the Battery program that the voltage of the battery when 50% is displayed is 4V. And that at 4.17V the battery is 70% and tops off charging at that point. I know that at 4V the battery is definitely not 50% and at 4.17V the battery should typically be full 100%. I knew something was wrong and tried turning it off and back on and nothing happened but when I removed the battery and put it back in the correct percentage was shown. Is there a fix for this? Thank you once again.
everything is fine here ... plus you should have posted this under jockyw's hardspl thread instead of creating a new one !!

Weird issue with spare battery

I invested in a spare battery for my N1.. the model number of the battery is identical to that that came with the phone.
The issue I have is that even though the battery works, the N1 displays a question mark in the notification bar, rather than a battery status reading.
I've tried running the battery dead, then recharging fully but it stays as a question mark. Is there anything else I need to do to get the reading to work, or is this a faulty or dodgy battery?
I have an extra battery from google and 2 exras from ebay with wall chargers.. all work fine.. no issues.. return the battery

What stages does the status bar battery indicator show?

I unplugged my Captivate around 7:00 AM when I left for work, used it on wifi during the day, wifi at home, etc. When I was getting ready for bed I noticed that my battery indicator still appeared to look like I had 2/3 life left. I was stunned, a day of use and I still have 2/3? No way. I installed a battery widget and guess what: 39% battery. Under half yet the indicator in the top-right still showed ~2/3?
So I am curious, is the indicator at the top only a 3rd based indicator? (something like: 3/3 100%, 2/3 from 30-70%, 1/3 from 0-30%? Or does the indicator at the top display more precision than that? I just don't get why the indicator showed well over 50% when I was actually 11% under 50%.
I read that its very inaccurate, so i'm not sure exactly what values it is set to display. I would use that battery widget for a better gauge
I dont think its that accurate either. I used mine a lot yesterday and it showed like 3/4 or 5/6 of the battery still left, then I looked in settings and saw it was around 50%.
The battery icon in the upper right corner is basically worthless. I've posted several times somebody should write a small app that gets rid of the icon with just a number there that tells the percentage. Newer iphones have this option, either a battery icon or the actual percentage.

I would much prefer that. I'm not even asking for exact precision, but the indicator is just way too far off and I don't get why that is the case. The indicator should read current battery levels and display the proper image, simple as that.
I can confirm that my indicator is way off as well.
I just downloaded battery indicator which puts another battery icon with percentage on the left side of the taskbar. Just gotta deal with having two battery icons for now.

Yes, I saw that there are several of those apps in the marketplace. I was hoping to avoid having to have two battery gauges. Maybe nobody cares, but with a rooted phone it shouldnt be too hard to create a new battery gauge icon (of course I'm no programmer so what do i know)
I think the battery icon is only showing 4 or 5 stages of battery life, and it's very underhanded because it shows more than what it actually has.
a full battery is > 75%
slight sliver is 74% - 50%
orange is 49% - 25%
red is < 25%
I would love to have the icon replaced with something more accurate.

[Q] Battery level sawtoothing

I have a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. After a few days of use the charge characteristics of the device have become bizarre.
While the tablet is NOT plugged in, the battery indicator slowly INCREASES until it hits 100%. Then it drops to 1% and warns me that the battery is critically low. If I ignore this, the charge indicator again slowly creeps UP (remember, it's still not plugged in).
Here is a screenshot of the Battery History since yesterday:
I tried to insert a screenshot that shows the problem, but since I'm a noob the forum won't let me include the image link. Please see the issue at
paul.net/temp/Screenshot_2012-11-30-13-10-17.png
Notice how I only plugged it in briefly the first time this cycle happened.
The battery indicator is basically worthless. I have no idea what the actual battery strength left is. And I don't trust that it charges correctly.
Has anyone seen this? Any idea what is going on? Any idea how to fix it?
I'm sorry that I'm a noob posting a question, but I haven't found any information anywhere about this strange behavior.
Thanks.

[Q] OnePlus One Battery Percentage Risen Up While Idle

Hello Guys!
I have a problem with my OnePlus One. I owned it for about 1 week until today. There's something strange with my OPO, when it's on idle and discharge the battery percentage rosen up to 100%. I attached the screenshot, hope you guys could answer it.
This isn't entirely abnormal. Remember that your battery percentage isn't exact, it's an approximation based on the reported voltage level of the battery. Strange things like this happen sometimes, I wouldn't worry too much.
