Hey guys, i recently notice my moto g rotates the screen way too often i wish it would, across the whole system, rom writing messages to pictures and everything, including of course games (i play just one, not really a gamer). It started getting on my nerves and i wanted to recalibrate the sensor so it stops rotating the screen every time i put the phone in a slight uneven position. There is no such tool in settings. Is there any solution regarding this ? i am rooted so ill take anything. Thank you !
I just deactivate auto-rotation on all my phones, it's annoying.

thx for the tip but i prefer to keep it active, sometimes i do want to rotate my screen. i just to know if i can calibrate it somehow. Anyone else ?
Same problem here. It's waaay too sensitive.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I just keep it off most of the time and enable it only when needed (which is not that often).
Perhaps you could try leaving the phone's auto rotation off and using a tasker gesture to trigger the orientation change.
Hi, I had the same problem and the only solution I came up to for now was to download an Xposed module called App settings, with it you can choose which apps can use the rotation or choose a specific rotation, I know it doesnt solve the sensibility problem, but at least its not that annoying anymore hehe

In my Moto G 1gen rotation dont work. While playing for example Temple Run 2 there is no tilt control
I have problem in Mx player with it's lock mode when I lock the screen the video continue to play but this is were problem occurs I cannot unlock it from lock mode because there is no toggle to unlock it. And on the contrary all video gestures such as video zoom, Brightness, Volume,Video Seek,etc. Do work. It used to work fine on my samsung s duos but I'm having problem with my new mobile Xiaomi mi3 running on android 4.4.2.

It looks like system's internal problem. Are you using stock ROM?

I had tried out the kids lock , kids lock (touch effects) and lock but none worked for me. And yes I'm running on the stock miui rom

If you have installed & enabled the kids lock, then you have to touch all four corners of your screen in the clockwise. It will unlock the player.

Yes you are correct but same problem in kids lock those 4 dots can't be seen. I tried out clicking the four corners of the screen but iit was not able to unlock it.

Hmm. I've tried it on my Xiaomi Mi Pad running Android 4.4 but lock worked just as expected.
I will try to make a workaround for this issue but all keys will not be blocked.

I think In kids lock there won't be any dots.
Try Kidslock + touch effects
When You can touch the screen MX Player will show some animation. So you can see whether it detects touch input or not.
If it's not detecting then there might be something which prevents mx player from getting the input. We have to check which one is interfering with mx lock screen controls.
If it detects then you haven't touch the screen properly. you have to touch properly in the each edge of the screen in clockwise to unlock.
eg: Top left - Top right - Bottom right - Bottom left
BTW in lock mode (not kidslock or kidslock + touch effects) if you touch the screen there should be a lock botton on the top left side of your screen. Touching it will unlock the device.

I have tried out what you said but then also it's not working. Video players such as uc browser inbulid video player and with vlc beta version this video players lock mode works fine. I think so its a problem with mx player. Probably it's not compatible with my mobile.

Hmm, that's weired. I checked translation but there is no error as you know.
Maybe resource is not installed or corrupted.
Please tell him/her to completely remove and install MX Player again.

And i get one small bug. When I lock the screen and then unlock the top bar very fast disappears. This small bug is reproduced in Mode #3 only.

Just posting here in case anyone else is having this problem and has found a solution.
The problem is that once I set a youtube video into full screen, I cant get the video player controls to appear again when tapping the screen, meaning I can't seek or pause the video unless I press back to get to the small player. This only happens on my note 12.2 and not on my other devices running the same youtube version (nexus 5 and 7).
I have rooted and flashed the near stock rom from Gatsrom and am using CivZ kernel rev3.0
Uninstalling updates to the youtube app does fix the problem though, so it looks like it might be a problem specific to the note with the latest youtube, so I was wondering if anyone else has hit on this same glitch?
This happens on CivZ rom too, with CivZ kernel or stock kernel. Probably a YouTube glitch.
I am stock non rooted and it's happening to me too..Has to be a YT issue.

The Youtube app isn't adapted to work with screensizes above 11" yet. That's why.
Essentially what happens is the app is stretched and the HUD bugs out because of it.
Must be a regression in the newest version of the app then, since it used to work fine. I've sent feedback to Google regarding this via the youtube app.

Same problem here.
It's really irritating! When i enter the Youtube app from a link (in chrome) and then hit the full screen button, and then i want to pause the video, i need to hit the back button but that's immediately takes me back to last app (chrome).
i found out that if I want it to stay in Youtube app, i need to: press the link (in chrome or gmail app), lower the minimized video to the right bottom side of the screen, then enlarge the screen again, after all that i can hit the full screen button and if i want to pause i can hit the back button and it will not exit the app.
Oddly enough the interface can be forced to show up in full-screen mode using the play/pause media controls command. For example if one clicks the button on a pair of headphones with a play/pause button while in full-screen mode then the video will pause and controls show up on screen. As soon as the controls fade away due to the standard interface delay they cannot be brought back by screen touch gestures but the headphones button will bring them back.
Since I'm rooted and use tons of customizations, I've set up a custom gesture in GMD gesture control to invoke the media play/pause command as a work around to this issue in YouTube until it's fixed. I now simply tap and hold 5 fingers on the screen while YouTube is playing full-screen and the video pauses and Youtube displays the player interface.

What we really need is chromecast support!
So far the only app playing AVI it is Google Photos!
We need this app to support chromecast as soon as possible!

I believe that proper UI for screen minorring -- including HDMI out, Miracast, Chromecast -- might be supported in early version of 1.8.x

It is just in technical review stage but will be supported whatever.
And If casting is supported only on limited number of container formats, it would be hard to be called "supported".
any news on this?, I love watching on my TV screen mirroring from my phone, please add the option to screen mirror whilst the screen display is off or make it go dark totally, when I screen mirror with VLC android it turns off the screen but MX player is much better and I would prefer to use it for HD videos, there's no point in watching on TV and my phone is showing the video at the same time, please make this happen.

Right now I am able to turn off my screen using a third party application which turns off my phone's screen with the proximity sensor but keeps the video playing on my TV, the only problem is that for some reason the subtitles "hang" exactly when the phone's screen is turned off..
Example: I turn off the screen while the subtitles say "Hello" and this "Hello" message will stay there until the video finishes or I turn on my phone's screen again. It will be better if MX Player had an option (for example a button) which turns "off" the screen, and turns it "on" on tapping or double tapping the screen again, so we don't need any third party apps to achieve this result.

What 3rd Party Software do you use to turn off your screen?
I am using Proximity Service (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ss.proximityservice), another alternative to it is Black Screen Of Life (http://bsol.derpdeveloper.com) which works too, but I prefer the first one. They are doing the same thing and both have problems with the subtitles ( I think it's a problem from MX Player since the video doesn't have any problems).

I would also like to know if this feature has been implemented yet?
When I play video with MX Player, connected to my TV via HDMI cable, everything play's fine but screen on my tablet stays ON. Even after choosing Background Play from the menu, the screen stays ON.
If I use the UHD Player(stock and suck(because I can't choose what to play next and it has no settings)) then the screen turn OFF. Please add this feature in MX player, people have been asking for this since 2015 and had this problem since 2012!

Hi, I noticed when using the v10 to stream videos on YouTube, the screen freezes every 3-5 seconds for about 0.01 seconds each. Audio is smooth, no pause even when the screen freezes
Tried different carrier as well as a 50mbps WiFi also experience the same.
Does anyone face similar issue, on the latest YouTube version available in play store.
Could it be some settings, phone issue or YouTube glitch?
I have not updated my phone via ota yet, would that solve the issue?
1 more thing, when I activate screen recording to try capture the glitch it doesn't happen? Then after bout a minute it reoccurs again
The freeze isn't that noticeable, but when playing anime it just feels weird
