The UMi Iron is made out of metal, a 7.9mm-thin metal body. You’ll notice that the phone doesn’t sport any capacitive buttons on its body, you’ll use the on-screen software buttons which are a part of this package. The UMi Iron features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, and the device will ship with a 3,350mAh battery. The UMi Iron sport a 13-megapixel camera on its back (Sony’s IMX214 sensor), while the 8-megapixel snapper (OmniVision’s sensor) is available up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device, and 4G LTE connectivity is also available here.
The device also offers an LED notification (RGB LED) light at the very bottom of the phone. The device also ships with a heart rate monitor and UV sensor for health applications, and a Texas Instruments Hi-Fi audio is also a part of the package. Interesting enough, this device will also get an eye scanner capability with an OTA update. So, as you can see, this phone really packs in a lot in terms of specs and features, but doesn’t cost all that much. The device is priced at $179.99, and can be ordered via 1949deal one of Chinese resellers which can be found on UMi’s official webpage.
Hi. I've bought a used Umi Iron. The screen needs replacing. It seems they're difficult to find. There are however many Iron Pro screens. Specs wise they seem exactly the same. Would anyone know if they're compatiible with the Iron. Thanks

Recently, i found a very amazing smartphone from China, it's Star K550, when i see the look, i was attracted by the similar look to Doogee DG2014 or Leagoo lead 1. Maybe it looks more similar to the Leagoo lead 1, because they both have 5.5inch IPS screen. Most importantly, Star K550 is much cheaper than leagoo lead 1 and Doogee dg2014.

5.5inch IPS screen provided you the large viewing or better video watching , even when you play 3D games, you can also enjoy the large screen. QHD 960*540 Screen resolution is also enough for me to watch movies clearly. If it's higher screen resolution, it will be better.

In view of the internal memory, the RAM 1GB and ROM 8GB is the standard match for a mid-range smartphone, of course, you can also buy an external TF card to expand your storage. For me, i just install some useful apps in my phone. RAM 1GB is also good for me.

Star K550 has 2200mAh battery, it can be used for 7--8 hours if i always use it to watch videos. But if i just chat or read some news on it, the standy time is much optimistic. I guess I also can get a backup battery when i go to travel.
By the way, if anyone has got the ROM for it, please share with me. I also want to make my smartphone to update better!

OnePlus has not resorted to the simple: a disproportionate resolution for a smartphone in order to get noticed. It has been a very balanced amount of 13 megapixels which is accompanied by a large sensor (1.3μm pixels), optical stabilization, possibility to take photos in RAW, dual LED flash, f2.0 aperture , laser focus and video recording 4K. Will have to see the performance of this model Omnivision and treatment applied by the company.
Customizable with housings
To make sure the lack of personality and a design that does not tell us anything, OnePlus insists on the possibility of improving custom themes that fall outside the usual. Having played several OnePlus last year with different housings, it is an extra that is appreciated and complements very well the introduction of the metal in the frame.

After two months of usage my only complaints so far are:
1. The power button is in the wrong place for me as my LH forefinger sometimes presses it.
2. The "Where are you?" and Voice Phone call function no longer work after the upgrade to 5.1.1

The smartphone maker UMi has uploaded an interesting video on their youtube channel showing how to make power bank in to their latest flagship smartphone UMi TOUCH.
UMi TOUCH is one of the few smartphone pack with a 4000mAh big battery and a nice build body, claiming for a one full day usage for the heavy user and a lighter user can easily have the phone for two days without charging.
