[Completed] Unable to update my micromax unite 2 kitkat to lollipop - XDA Assist

Hi
I am not a techie and I tried to update my android kitkat to lollipop version which is a official one went to settings-->About phone-->Software update it identified a new software package requested for WIFI to download it and tried downloading the package unfortunately its asked for permission to download in a sec it showed downloading and it got frozen after a moment an error message popped up unable to update "couldn't able to connect to the server try again" kept on trying desperately but nothing happened. Some can assist me with this please my phone has a warranty to also I don't wanna to stuff which I don't know so please help me in this regard to sort out.

[Completed] error 5.1.1 update on H940

my h940 is already on 5.1 but new system update is popping everytime my phone is online... after downloading (android 5.1.1 file update) auto installation is always failing after rebooting.... it allways says ERROR! in the midle of installation... i dont know if its my device or the update itself because i didnt encounter this from stock android 5.0 upgrading to 5.1 ... pls help.. :crying:

[Completed] package installer and playstore deleted

hi! it all started after i uninstalled freedom app.my google play store was forceclosing very frequently so i uninstalled it from link2sd.but then somehow package installer was also gone .now i cant use any google app neither i can install any new app.also i have lost root privileges. i dont have custom recovery to flash a new rom either. is there any possible solution to this problem? i did a factory reset but no help :l im using micromax unite 2 lolipop 5.0. please help!

[Completed] Is Lollipop Stock ROM , Device dependent?

I would like to install Lollipop 5.1 ROM on my phone Micromax Xpress 2 which has 4.4.2.
As there is no custom ROM to install on the said phone, I would like to upgrade to Lollipop 5.1 without waiting for Micromax to provide the upgrade.
Is it possible?

Firmware and roms are device specific so never try to flash something on your device that is not specifically made for it. Unfortunately there is not a specific forum for your device on XDA. And I can't find lollipop firmware or roms for your device. The best place to find help though is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android.

Hi all here we are going discuss about the root,recoveries and custom roms development
Rooting Canvas 6 pro:-
We can root Canvas 6 pro by two methods as follows
1. Kingroot 4.9 apk
2. Installing Su through Custom recovery( recoveries attached)
Custom ROMS for Canvas 6 Pro:-
I have ported three to four roms like AMIGO,FLYME,XUI But they have some major bugs camera,flashlight so it will take some time to release

Click on build number in about phone - multiple times, you'll get developer options in settings.
2. Download and install kingroot apk.
3. Press click to root once you open the apk.

I have ported three roms(Flyme,Amigo and XUI) for canvas 6 pro but some major bugs are there like camera ,flashlight so it will take time

please please port cm 12 or 13 for this phone..
Tried every tutorial but unable to port... Everytime stuck on some steps..
Bro I think porting works only if the kernel is the same... I'm sure ud be successful if you use roms which use Stock or Stock modified kernels.... Then again I'm just a noob and I haven't the faintest idea about coding ...

yup i know this... so tried cm 12 for xiomi redmi note 3 (mtk6795) version.. But failed. That thing wont work.....
By the way these phones are identical in every specs. If you wish to port, try the ones made for xiomi, work would be a lot lesser... ☺
@ANANDH16 can you please upload the META-INF of stock ROM ....need updater-script ...
and also can you post the way to unlock boot loader....after fastboot OEM unlock phone goes into bootloop and even the recovery is corrupted
Just a quick note, use supersume to get rid of all the chinese crap installed. It will slow down your phone and is almost certainly violating your privacy.

it happened with my phone too...but somehow it got back normally after trying diferent ways

Android Nougat on unite 2

Hi, great geeks...!
I'm not good developers like you..but solved my unite 2 storage problems by following the instructions given in forums... I like to change lollipop on my unite 2 (which is upgraded from kitkat and storage fixed by flashing ota firmware) to nougat ... I couldn't find it on any sites...pls any one help me to taste the new android 7 on my unite 2 device...keenly waiting for your replies..
pls also suggest instructions to do it...
