There are plenty of them with carrier variants ... i don't even know them all. Its better to go to your local samsung.com page and check out the variants available for your region.

This is my first time buying a phone from china, so i want to know one thing is that if i go back to my country where we usually use the international variants of all the phones will N9008 accept my home country sim card?

It will, but N9008 is specifically designed for TD-SCDMA so no 3G network in your country.

I am using N9008 and I can use WCDMA 3G network while I am using non-China SIM while I am not in China.

Then you don't have an N9008, it has a different modem, there is no WCDMA support, if you put a WCDMA sim in it you will be stuck on Edge.

There is even no TD-LTE support, for that you need the N9008V.

Hey guys, I received the N9008 as a gift. I popped in my 3G sim card (Singapore: Starhub) and it showed H+. Now i'm dumbfounded.
Might I also add that, on the speedtest.net test, I managed to get 14,829kbps download!
Any explanations for this?

N9008V and N9008S differences
Hi everybody,
I maybe have got the answer why the N9008 sometimes work with H+ and somtimes not:
There are 2 versions in China: N9008V (will be sold first...) or the N9008S (I´ve baught it in Shenzhen - hard to find...).
The N9008S can do all 4G and 3G networks in China and Europe (!) - Its a great phone! (but I had no success to install the german keypad and so on...)
the N9008V version can do only the G2 or G4 networks - don´t ask me why (and don´t buy it)...

Usually you have to download an app from the Chinese market to install Google. sometimes they tell you to root your phone, sometimes not. You will looking for: 谷歌安装器。A bit tough if you can't read Chinese.

Recently, following another forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...tall-nxt-l29c185b560-official-t3556789/page11 and AngelicCore's guidance I have upgraded to latest NXT-L29C185B560
This is the latest version with EMUI 5.0, Nougat .
But even after this update also, there is no VOLTE support.
I have Airtel 4G and Reliance Jio 4 G SIMS, both don't work for VOLTE, but LTE (data) works...
Still looking for a solution....

I have flashed many regions. So far only china firmware has VOLTE function but I will confirm that again when I install china firmware.

China Unicom has Volte but voice isn't supported on JIO so better use Jio Voice app. I tried all available solutions.

Huawei p9 india CustC675 have added VoLTE feature recently.

the latest OTA-Update B594
for my Mate 8 NXT-L29C636
Has somone, already tried this, what is shown on YouTube, to enable VoLTE on Huawei
Smartphones?
( I got a message from Forum-Software, that i´m not allowed to put in extern links)
So go to YouTube, and search for;
ENABLING VoLTE SWITCH FOR HUAWEI PHONES
it seems, that it works.

Honor 9 is just Honor 9.
STF-L09 is EU version (distributed since beginning of the June), STF-AL10 is Asia (Chinese) version... etc.
No HW or design difference between the versions, just the ROMs are different.

STF (Honor 9) all versions have the same hardware. So it doesn't matter which one has better spec...

Has anyone got any idea when the stf l09 firmware is going to be released?

The ROM B130 on FF doesn't work fails when manually update have tried both full and ota , strange the changelog states quiet few fixes surely we would get ota as we are on B100 yet there's also B120 but nothing when check for updates , strange !!!!

I've even tried through the DNS method, It always fails. I guess we need to wait for the stock B100 firmware to be released

Well I tried how I use to update my honor 6x manually download full zip extract and copy update.app to dload folder on SD
Dial *#*#2846579#*#* that was only way to do 6X , doesn't seem work honor 9 finds file and looks like it's going to work then fails

I bought honor 9 stf-al10 from china and the package is in transit. Now i'm using honor 8 frd-l19 that is the european version. With frd-l19 i have a very good signal coverage for 4g because it has the B20 band (800mhz) that is used by almost of the mobile carrier in italy. The seller Has installed global firmware for stf-al10 and now it is named stf-al09 in settings but i think that despite this the band B20 will not work in europe. I wanted to ask to devs if there is a way to enable the 800mhz band for stf-al10... Thanks for your attention.
Up: please let me know if with global firmware stf-al10 can unlock other lte bands...did anyone try this in honor 8 before? I saw some people in the forum that changed from original version of firmware to an other, but they did not write any infos about the capability of the phone to hook other bands... When we change the version of firm we wil change also the kernel part and obviously the modem part. If the hardware (antennas in this case) is the same in different models we can use band that are not officially available. Please i need to clarify my ideas.

3G/ WCDMA not working, Only 2G on T-mobile: Alcatel OT E. 5020T & ZTE Z730 Concord II
Hi,
I have two T-Mobile smartphones that I received by living knowledge in the USA and I am living in Cameroon.
Alcatel OneTouch Evolve 5020T: https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/android/one-touch-evolve
and
ZTE Z730 Concord 2: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-36334
When I choose the network mode in GSM, I have the signal and even when I activate Mobile Data, I have the Edge (Z730) or 2G (Alcatel) and not 3G which appears at the top so internet connection is very slow .
But when I switch to WCDMA ONLY mode, I have total network loss: no network signal for the phone as well as internet.
I tried the solution on these links below but without success.

NB: For the Z730, the code (* # * # 4636 # * # *) of the link above does not work except on the Alcatel.
I would like to know if it is possible to solve this problem with the network WCDMA ONLY?

Power button+home button
Power button+volume downbutton
Try this two methods.. I think one method is work for you.. (screenshot methods different by manufactures)

CDMA only don't accept (change mode) when I select .
WCDMA ONLY mode, I have total network loss: no network signal for the phone as well as internet.

After select wcdma only.wait some time(15 minutes) sometimes your network able to detect network...

I select wcdma only and I waited more than 15 minutes (23 min.) no change (total network loss: no network signal for the phone as well as internet.).

What carrier are you trying to run T-Mobile ?
Where do you live right now ?

Although both phones do not support 3g frequencies in my country, is it a problem material (modem) that can not have a solution?
To change only a few items with service mode can it solve the problem of frequency for my country?

The thing is that the frequancies is related to the hardware part of the phone and you can't do much through your software
