Hi I was going to stock 5.1.1 from XtreStoLite Deo-Mod Edition 1.5 and I downloaded the stock firmware for my phone (g920F) and everything runs fine until the flashing procedure reaches hidden.. then it fails! I'v tried 3 different firmware and I get the same problem every time, does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss here..
Try a different USB cable or plugging it at another usb port on your pc.

i have the same error, this happens when you flash a lower version BOOTLOADER AND MODEM, you have to download another 5.1.1 firmware.

Hi there. I have read quite a few tutorials on rooting my phone. I did have it rooted at one point using odin and a package for cwm. It worked great. I wanted to try out one of the 4.* ICS roms, that worked fine.. sorted that out no problem but there was no gps so I wanted to go back to my rooted 2.3.6.
Went to put it back to standard with stock firmware, that also worked fine. The problem I have now is when I attempt to root using the same files, same settings and same utilities as before, It boots up to the samsung galaxy logo, then reboots and shows the logo again and again in an infinite loop.
I have cleared the user data and cache, and the root appears to work as the recovery program installs correctly, but it will not boot the OS.
When i flashed to stock I used odin.. the 512 pit file, the stock pda, phone and csc files. and that works perfectly but not when I root it!
Any ideas??
****UPDATE
I flashed with stock 2.3.5 firmware so that I could use samsung kies to flash my phone back to 2.3.6 so that it was 100% stock and kies now says that my device does not support firmware upgrades!!!
Seems as nobody can be arsed to answer my question I have researched and answered it myself...
If anybody has the same problem of Kies saying "Your device does not support firmware upgrades" all you have to do is go into the "About phone" section of the settings.. find the baseband version of your phone.. Mine was I9000XXJVT... find the lowest version of android on samfirmwares.com , mine was 2.3.4, install it..
then kies recognizes your phone again and will upgrade it to the latest version..
Oh by the way THANKS FOR YOUR HELP lol
This particular phone for record purposes upgraded to:
PDA:JW4 / PHONE:JW4 / CSC:JW5 (CPW) which im guessing is carphone warehouse..
I tried the samfirmware.com version of the latest CPW firmware they have and kies still said it would not update the firmware
and before all you geeks get on your high horse and say why didnt u do this and why didnt you do that..
I couldn't root my firmware after installing the CPW firmware as mentioned above from samfirmwares.com.. i was in an infinite reboot loop. I could load standard firmware from samfirmwares.com and it would boot fine, but I couldn't root it from that.
My aim was to get it back to standard and go from there.
One question.. pretty obvious really... I have searched high and low and still am yet unable to find a sofrware for BACKING UP my original firmware... this would be a pretty sensible idea??? yes???
Hi there.
I´m on a 6210. Was on 4.0.4 rooted.
Still wanted to update to 4.1.2. using odin for flashing stock 4.1.2.
Got stock
I have download mode available and running windows 7 on the other side.
Have tryied to flash but it fails and now I´m between "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen or "odin download" screen.
The tablet seems to comunicate with pc but fails every time.
Even tryied to flash cwm to try to wipe but odin wont let me.
using odin 3 1.85 and also odin3 3.04 that worked for rooting and flashing my S4 a few weeks ago.
Any ideas? Currently I´m downloading a stock 4.0.4. to try to flash back to it.
Ah, I also looked up and downloaded a PIT table for the 6210 and tryied a few more times with it.

Update:
:fingers-crossed:
I changed the data cable (have one long and one short non stock cables) from the long one to the short one... Now it seems to be flashing with odin... so anybody with a similar issue, try for a better communication between pc and tablet..
I´ll update on a sec if I´m successfull.

Anybody tried to flash the 4.4.2 update that just came out for n8010 on n8013. I was wondering what would be the consequences on flashing it on Odin over waiting for an appropriate one for the n8013, which could take months (sighh Samsung). Any one took the risk?
For the ones who don't know, n8010 is an international Wi-Fi only variant, while n8013 has the exact same hardware and is Wi-Fi only as well, but for some strange reason is USA specific.

Yes, i did flash my N8013 yesterday. I could not do this through ODIN on a PC because it was giving me an error, so i had to do it with Mobile ODIN and it worked. But the big problem now is that the WiFi does not want to turn ON for some reason. Also tried to Reset the device from the OS and still no WiFi. I'll try later to clean the cache and do proper factory reset to see if this will help and will let you know. If anyone know how to fix this please let me know.
what rom did you flash from .

were you on the n8000 leak or stock firmware. Or did you flash that at anytime?
Do you know if you have the Knox boot loader . Check download mode and see what it says your device is . n8000 n8010 n80xx ..
Or were you on Stock 8013 rom and boot loader .?
My device is N8013 and was with the stock N8013 4.1.2 firmware. I've tried before to flash it with the first leak of N8000 4.4.2 but i got the same issues with the WiFi. I'm not sure about the bootloader. How can i see if its a new version or old one? I suspect something messed up the PIT file during the flash with leaked N8000 but im not sure. I tried to find official N8010 pit file to fix the partition if its bad, but couldnt find any.
And the interesting thing is that since i flashed with N8000 now i cant use PC Odin. It giving me error no matter what firmware i use.
I've found a solution with the WiFi problem in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53090185
And it's working just fine following this guide :victory:
So, I'm sure I'm probably doing something incredibly stupid..
I just got my Note 5 today. I've been trying to flash a custom ROM, TEKXodus first and then Dr Ketan's ROM. I managed to get them to boot up (at least Ketans, I've been trying so long today at this point I'm not sure if I ever got TEKXodus to load).
However, after finally getting in, my SIM card isn't being detected, neither is the baseband and IMEI. The phone registers as a N290I instead of N290T.
Did I flash something wrong? Would the wrong version of recovery cause this? Kernels?
This isn't my first time rooting and flashing ROMs, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong this time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to start from scratch (square one) and odin flash the
official stock Samsung N920T Tmobile Marshmallow 6.0 firmware
before doing anything else.
You can find the N920T Marshmallow 6.0 firmware here:
http://sammobile.com
Good luck,
Have a great day!
The phone came with Marshmallow already installed I believe. Either way I've currently got the stock TMobile installed now and am still having the same problem.

Perhaps your phone came with the wrong version of Marshmallow 6.0 if the phone was not new when you got it.
Either way I bet you still have NOT Odin flashed the full official stock samsung N920T 6.0 Marshmallow firmware
which can be found at http://sammobile.com
If you finally decide to do the above be sure to do a full wipe and factory data reset before you odin flash.
And forget about roms until you get the phone working properly with the stock N920T odin flash firmware.
Will definitely double check and retry that when I get off of work.
And that worked!
Thank you so much, I was working off a different MM build apparently. Probably would never have figured that out by myself.
Dear forum,
a few days ago my cellular connection (i can't connect to my provider) doesn't work anymore. Sometimes a day it works for a few minutes, but mostly not.
I have a Galaxy S4 with Lineage OS (was perfectly running) and there was no update when it stopped working.
Meanwhile i tried to wipe and flash the OS but the error is still there.
My sim card is working in other devices and other sims in my don't work too.
Thank you for your help

Flash stock rom via odin
if after you flashed stock rom via odin it still doesnt work it could be a hardware fault
To eliminate any software problems you must flash stock firmware via odin

Flashed the stock rom as you said, but the error is still there :/
Even when it displays that there is a connection, every call just stops after dialing
So i guess it is a hardware fault?
