Use tablet as car radio and anwser call - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
i bought a tablet, and i have an old autoradio with USB and AUX and i thought to connect my Tablet with Aux, my smartphone with tablet trought bluetooth and answer a call by the tablet and speak trough it.
I try to download the App Tablet Talk but when the calling is arriving i can answer but i cannot listen auto in tablet (so neighter in the car speaker) but only in the smartphone.
There is someone that is very good in smartphone that can create an app to connect smartphone and tablet by bluetooth, answer calling or message from tablet and speak directly in the tablet and not in the smartphone?
(my idea is use tablet like one of the lastest autoradio with bluetooth )
Please someone help me and a lot of people in Italy and in the world that follow this forum and would want the same thing that i think ^_^
Thaks to all at the beginning ^_^

Stereo connection (Docking station?)

Dear all,
I cannot believe nobody here tried to do this before, but I can't find really a solution here in this forums that work for me.
Here is my problem/wish:
I would like to use my Qtek 2020 as network player. I recently bought a SDIO WiFi Card (which is by the way still not working right - but that's another storie). Now I would like to connect my Qtek with my stereo.
But I don't want to just put it next to my stereo with cables in view. I am looking for a kind of docking station. Something like the USB Cradle but then without the USB (would not be necessary next to my stereo) but with an audio out, So I can listen to my music via WLAN and don't have to think about charging anymore...
Any suggestions on this?

Forward Calls to PC ?

Hi,
In my apartment it's very hard to catch the network except in one place. Unfortunately it's not the best place to make calls.
I was wondering if there's any way to forward the calls I receive on my phone (KS20 with wm6.1) to my computer , with the sound on my pc speakers and the pc mic replacing the phone's one. I could leave my phone where it catches the best signal and stop having my calls terminated by lack of signal!
If you have a bluetooth stick for your computer which supports headset protocol (like mine) that will be no problem...
Mhh I see I just need this kind of bluetooth stick , and then I can use my pc as a bluetooth headset for my phone?
That's a very good solution. Is this kind of bluetooth stick expensive ?
If someone has got an idea to do the same thing but with the usb cable, I would love it too!

answer phonce call from my laptop

dunno if there any application that help doing this. say I have my kjam and my laptop and bluetooth is on on both devices, I want to have the option to answer the kjam call or dial using the bluetooth protocol, I purchased the new acer aspire mini laptop and want to integrated in my car, if this is available i will use it to make built in car kit phone calls thrugh the laptop.
you could try mDesktop, it has some integration but don't remember if the sound is tranfered to pc or not...

[Q] Android-to-Android Bluetooth Profiles

Hi everyone,
I am an owner of the GSIII I747M and the ASUS Transformer, both running ICS. I recently had this idea (fantasy?) where I mount the Transformer in my car, hook it up to the car speakers and basically use it as my in-car infotainment system instead of the headunit that's in there. Nothing wrong with my in-car headunit (except the fact that I can't get bluetooth to work with my GSIII), but the tablet will give me tons more features. When I enter the car, I want the tablet to automatically tether to my phone via wi-fi and via bluetooth. Wi-fi is for internet access and it works just fine. The bluetooth is for the hands-free profile, so that when I receive a call, the music/navigation/whatever gets interrupted and I can take the call. I also want to be able to dial from the tablet.
When I connect the two devices via bluetooth, I don't have a hands-free profile; indeed I have no useful profiles at all. My question is simple: is there an app for that? Any suggestions? Has anyone done this? Thanks!
TabletTalk will let you answer/make calls on your tablet so long as it's pair to your phone and you're on a bt headset. It also handle your phone's SMS.
AutoTether can automatically tether your tablet to your phone hotspot.
Thanks, but that's not quite what I was like for. I won't be texting and driving, even on a tablet. I'm looking to use my tablet as a BT headset. I can pipe my output to the car's speakers and the tablet has a mic, so I can use it to talk on the phone while driving. Is there an app that can do that?
That would be awesome!
Let me know if you figure it out
I'm looking to do the same thing... Maybe it's time to learn how to code for Android. I've done some interfacing with BT at the driver level before but it was back before BT even officially came out, so there was not a Handsfree Profile ;-)
I couldn't find an app or anything that does this, so I think I'm SOL until someone makes an app with this capability.

Help using a tablet together with a phone in a car

Hello!
I hope getting some help & ideas for a new idea I'm trying to use in my car.
I have an old Volvo, with next to no modern entertainment options, meaning a factory built-in radio (neither DIN nor Double-DIN), with no bluetooth or anything fancy. A good radio with a really good sound and equalizer (DolbySorround), but that's it. And a seperate navigation system with no online connectivity or recent updates what so ever (last update is from 2014 for a nice 300.-€).
My idea would be:
Tablet (in my case a Fire HD8, unlocked, rooted and with LineageOS 14)
Phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix2, as well with LineageOS, but LOS16)
Bluetooth receiver from Aukey (that I can wire in with the equalizer)
So far, so good. But here comes the problem:
I want to do some things on the tablet, like navigation, music streaming and calls. Is it possible, to connect phone and tablet in a way, I could start the music (Amazon, Google and my own Nextcloud) from the tablet, where in reality the phone makes the connection and "sends" the sound to the tablet (and from there the tablet to the BT audio receiver) or directly to the BT audio receiver, as long as I can control that from the tablet. Or the navigation (tablet) can use the internet connection from the phone. And last thing, I want to make or receive calls on the phone, but I would like to control that from the tablet as well.
I think you get the idea, what I'm trying to do here.
I'm really not sure how to start, the hardware is already here, but I'm willing to buy other stuff, as long as it works afterwards.
Any ideas or input is very welcome, I'm a little stuck here. Thanks a lot in advance!
