[Completed] Wifi/Wlan suddenly goes Slow - XDA Assist

As the title suggest, my Phone's WIFI/WLAN speed dropped to a crawl recently (Lenovo A680 with Stock ROM JellyBean 4.2.2 modified a little by carrier)
It was my Mom's phone back then and she gave it to me since now she has a new one. It was working perfect a few months back as I could Download with fast speeds. Then recently when my apps were updating in play store, a 5 mb file took around 30mins (Back then 5mb files took only seconds) to update then it said "Unable to update; error 194" or something along those lines. I couldn't access Google Now, Browse Chrome, or Anything internet related. My Router/Wifi works alright since I could download stuff on my laptop with normal speeds.
As of now I did 5 Factory resets and it still is slow as hell.
I was thinking of flashing a new ROM, but I can't find any ROM or even a stock JB rom. I have to port it and I've little experience with these kinds of things.
I installed CWM and then did another factory reset and it still wouldn't work :/
Any help appreciated!

[Completed] [Q] LG optimus F6 problem

so i rooted my device with towelroot, and cleared out a bunch of bloatware. seeing as how this phone only has 2 gb of internal storage, it doesnt really handle more than like 3 or 4 apps ( for me anyway ) so i had removed alot of stuff i dont use, andway...all of a sudden i started getting this error message
unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
and i googled it, found a fix on xda, and tried it for my phone, doesnt work. so now i cannot access the playstore to download any apps at all, and my phone is basically only letting me use data, txt, and calling features, plus preloaded stuff. this is after i also had done a factory reset. i was able to root again, and have super su installed, but this is it, because anything ive found for flashing custom roms involves me getting into the playstore for something in some way. did i do something to my phone, or is it a piece of junk? any help would be appreciated. thanks

It was a gapps problem, and I fixed it by flashing a custom kitkat ROM to my phone. It actually freed up massive amounts of space, improved functionality, and all around operability. Thanks guys...

[Completed] [Q] Need to re-install Android 4.4.2 on Prestigio PSP 5508 DUO

Greetings form South Africa!
This is my first post on this forum, so apologies if this is in the wrong section!
Needless to say I am a complete novice with android so I do not know where to start with troubleshooting.
I am in bit of a bind here. As the title suggests, I think I need to do a completely fresh install of Android 4.4.2 on my Prestigio SPS 5508 DUO.
Some Background:
I have rooted my phone with KingoRoot and for the last round used the Titantanium Backup app to uninstall the default Message app and The preinstalled office suite 7.
After that my Google news stand app stopped working with a message saying it stopped working.
I decided to do a factory reset, because I thought it might resolve the issue... That was a mistake it seems.
When My phone rebooted after the factory reset, everything was messed up. the setup wizzard keeps crashing. and I get error messages from almost all the google apps.
The Problem:
I have not backed up anything, so there is nothing to fall back on.
My question now is, is there a way to do a fresh install of the Android OS along with the needed drivers? - same as you would do when formatting your pc: fresh install of windows, install the drivers, then move on to the programs you use.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
EDIT: On the Prestigio site I have found a firmware update download, maybe something inside here can help? I wanted to post a link but apparently I don't have enough street cred!
Go to prestigio dot com and then go to the PSP5508 page and you will find it under support and firmware

[Completed] Issue with Le Pan Mini

I'm having a big issue right now. Basically, I rooted the le pan, got rid of a bunch of apps including system apps since I didn't expect having to do a factory reset, and then removed the root permission. I wanted to download a firmware update, but I was having issues with connecting to the update server, so I did a factory reset without thinking. I ended up removing two very important apps, being the stock launcher and keyboard. Now, the homepage is just a black screen, and I can't type anything. There's seemingly no way for me to either get into the play store, since I have to type in my credentials, or any way to retrieve the stock apps. I haven't seen a single download for the stock firmware of the Le Pan Mini, and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Unfortunately there isn't much on this device. Root, that's about it. You may have some luck in the general help thread.

You may be able to push the missing files without the full ROM through recovery (assuming it accepts adb). That's a mighty big if though.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] how to change android on tablet

Hi all!!
I have a tablet (MIIA MT-733G) and it worked perfectly. Last month it took 2 virus (TIME SERVICE and MONKEY TEST) and now I just cant use ut anymore. It connects itselfs to data or wifi and starts downloding 3475364576340583760 of useless apps!!!!!
I rooted it, I tried to reset to factory, I tried to use apps to remove those 2 virus from the sys directory..but they are still there!
This is why I'm here! I'd like to do one last try. I'd like to remove the android sistem and install it again. I hope this way those stupid viruses will be deleted!!
And here it is my second problem! I don't know if there is a rom for my tablet, because it isn't produced by a famous mark like Samsung or LG or Sony. It has been produced by MIIA!
MODEL : MT-733G
ROM Version: ALPS.JB5.TABLET.GBXYHQV2
Could someone please help me? I 'm going mad..I really need my tablet, but I just can't use it this way !

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Unfortunately, I cannot see any resources on the site about your tablet. I would suggest contacting MIIA, for the stock firmware (can explain the virii problem), or even warranty work (if available, and especially if you didn't modify the device - i.e. root).
The virii could have rooted the device themselves by the way - all it would have needed is a hook like StageFright (and 4.2 Jellybean is very vulnerable to those things). Which means, option one (getting the stock firmware from MIIA) is a better option over warranty because it is likely this problem will happen again. And again.
Last ditch effort to find stock firmware here would be to make a thread in this forum (once registered for an account):

[Completed] TWRP v.2.8.6.0 suddenly secured by pattern

Good day, my potential saviors,
I really couldn't find a better fitting forum, maybe I'm just blind but...
I'm not that "all-knowing" when it comes to this rooting thing which might be the reason the thing that happened did happen...
I updated my Nexus 6 (shamu) from CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.x) to Version 13 (Android 6.0.1) yesterday and had Wi-Fi the whole day. This morning I went out to do my daily thing when I found that I didn't have connection to my cellular network.
Because there are only nightlies at the moment I thought I maybe should try the next version, some bugs are normal after all.
So I was home, downloaded the update and tried to install it just like always but when I arrived in my Recovery it wanted me to enter some pattern I can't recall to have ever entered and it wants it every time I try to get into Recovery. So here lies the problem... How did that get there? And how can I bypass this?
I thought maybe I could re-flash my Recovery to get that pattern deleted or something but I can't even flash anything because I don't have access. I can see all my settings but I don't see the device on my PC.
Please help me!
Greetings, Null.
Edit: Found the reason... Seems like CM13 found it necessary to use my Lockscreencode for everywhere... and since it was 4x4 TWRP was unable to let me put it in I guess.

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Maybe this post will be helpful
Note: At this time we do not have a GUI representation for pattern unlock. You can still decrypt patterns though by translating the pattern dots to numbers. The pattern dots correspond to numbers in the following pattern:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
