since today i cannot refresh my Facebook app. it gives me the a [MAILFORMED JSON" error every time i refresh. i can access my account in the browser without any prob. does anyone is experiencing this error? or any tips in how to get pass it?

you mean Facebook app, right? not that I'm aware of. only have. software from the market. no themes. running stock kernel and rom. other thing that might be related is that when i try to open my Gmail inbox, or sinc my Gmail account - just mail - the process google apps stop responding and force closes, without letting me see if i have incoming mail. started 1,5 weeks before the Facebook app prob

i did it but with no joy. still get the same error...
and the error only happen when i access my profile and the news feed...
I'm having the same problem, but it only happens when I try to view my own profile. I've reflashed and formatted - still no luck. Can anyone help?

After doing some research it appears the issue is FB itself. All Android related FB apps are having the same issue.
Add me to the list. Everything was fine until the latest update.
I've found the error. It's not with FB. It's with the feed. Sometimes, there are things in your feed the JSON cannot read. That creates the error. I uploaded a youtube video and was constantly getting this error. I logged into FB from a desktop and deleted the post and now it works perfectly. Apparently, there are some things in the feed that aren't read correctly - creating the error. Hope this helps!

I'm actually surprised I was somewhat right about this issue in another thread in which I tried to answer this question. Here's my reply

^^^ I find this to be correct ^^^
When someone posts something in the newsfeed that the droid facebook app doesn't like, then the app will give that error. After more people post in the newsfeed and the culprit post is weeded out, then it goes back to working. Same will go for looking at your friends profiles, or even at your own profile if someone posts something the app does not like.
Also, I get the same problem with Bloo, but Bloo does not state an error has occurred. It will just fail to load the feed, or profile, etc...
Wanted to also add in that this is a universal problem... meaning iPhone and WM users are also having facebook app failures do to something facebook has done on their end.

facebook on android is terrible iphone FB is far better (i hate iPhone, not a fan boy) hell even blackberry FB is better besides the contact sync the app is almost useless over 50% of the time
Has anyone else had the problem when selecting "share" then "facebook" from the "now playing" screen, that when it redirects to the browser it says, "oops! Something went wrong..." Ive uninstalled and re-installed Spotify and facebook. Cleared cache in browsers and both apps. Nothing seems to work. I'm gonna flash a new UCLE rom tonight and see if it still does it.
I know that "People" hub is best for viewing Facebook updates in WP7, and Windows app for Facebook is also good.
But when I try to access Facebook (m.facebook.com) on Web browser (IE9) on my Samsung Omnia W, the site loads very slowly. After the page is loaded, I cannot load further older updates. Also if I click on any page or profile, it never loads, and I get error message "Connection error. Try Again".
While Facebook gives this error, most of other websites load very smooth and fast.
Has anybody else noticed slow loading for Facebook (or any other websites) in WP7 web browser?
I had similar behaviour using facebook via browser. Also couldnt load older posts, clicking the link on the bottom didnt do anything. I just ended up downloading the facebook app from the marketplace.
Hello. I installed jandycane like 6 months ago on my kindle fire which I rooted and then installed jandycane.
Like I said - awesome and works great.
Over the weekend, any app that I have which is refreshed to fetch latest updates no longer works -
for example, my mail for hotmail and gmail i get error message stating cannot connect to mail server. my flipboard will not refresh. youtube will not let me sign in - i hit the sign in button and get "an error occured" and the trending youtube video page is no longer updating.
I have rebooted 3 times and nothing changed. My linkedin will not refresh - basically everything seems to be stuck on last Saturday....
HELP PLEASE.

Links in Facebook when clicked give error "unfortunately, chrome is not working" or so.etching like that. I've tries to clear cache in browser and chrome but still nothing in either one. Anyone having this issue. Please help. Thanks
