I dropped my opo this past friday and the screen has this nasty crack now, but worse, the touchscreen no longer works. I can boot it up to any of my 3 roms via the volume keys (thanks to multirom) but once at the lock screen i cant get any further!
1. I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue. Do you think a digitizer/screen replacemnt would solve this?
2. Being that ive never delt with hardware before, is it better if I sell my opo "for parts"?
3. Is there any way I can get my data off it even tho I cant get into my phone?
4. Does anyone know of software i can controll my phone from my computer? (and if so how would i install it withiut going on my phone?)
Sorry for being too multi directional with this, I'm just trying anything i can think of.
Any advice is very much helpful and appreciated!! PLEASE HELP!! And thanks guys!!

I ran into some problems with my LG G2 / D802 and attempted to fix them, but I have made the problem much, much worse. There is absolutely no chance of me fixing it.
I am going to send my device back under warranty, but I have TWRP installed on it. Is there any way I can get TWRP / get stock recovery back so it looks like nothing was ever there ONLY using adb. I cannot boot into the OS, and TWRP freezes and doesn't work. ADB seems to be my only option.
Although the following option really is not preferible, if that can't be done, is there anyway I can damage my phone to the point that the tech support won't be able to tell it had TWRP on it, and therefore just look like the software failed.
Thanks for you help....I really am lost as what to do.
Hi,
I suggest you ask for help in your device section,
LG G2 > G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And I also suggest you not ask further questions about intentionally destroying your device and commit warranty fraud any more than you are already attempting to do. Most members here will not help you with that.... And it's a good way to get your posts deleted or worse. ?
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.
To the wonderful hero who I hope can save me.. I just want to apologize before hand about the lack of tech-ie-ness in this plea for help.. I really am just a money with fancy tools at this point, just banging away making a mess of everything.. lol .. I did my homework after I made a mess. Aka bricked two phones of my my friends.. I took rooting droid as equal to jail breaking iphones... after a lot of reading after I I bricked, I know now the basics... having said that.. I did make a mess.
First I have a m580 I rooted.. too much pot and not enough reading later I hooked a friends m820 up to the same odin set up I used on my m580.. the problem is that m580 has built in keyboard and uses other command to put phone in to download mode.. so the keys dont exist to press to re-flash it with the proper firmware which I have now.. and no one is working on this phone type because its old as dirt..
that was first mess up.. before I learned how vary complex Dev droid talk is... I assumed this VERIZON ELLIPSIS 7 was a jflte type of galaxy s4 and using Flasher or flashy something like that.. I tried to put CWM on the verizon.. now its stuck in boot loop.. I have no back up.. I now know how important that is now.... been doing homework on MTK Droid TOOLS and SP FLASH TOOLS and think if someone would send me a stock rom of the Verizon Ellipsis 7 {qvm7b} I could handle fixing it.. although test runs with it to this point have shown an issue, I have yet to figure out points of contact on board to rest the preloader.. in other words, unable to keep it from rebooting every 5 second so I can flash it with a rom I dont have yet..... holding vol down does nothing.. same thing with any other button combo. .. I have popped off the back of the tablet to unplug battery just to get it to shut off. With what I have learned I feel I can handle any directions ok.. and if I could fix this mess I can handle not destroying any more phone or tablets.. maybe.. lol that is kinda the fun part of having things.. breaking them.. but these things dont belong to me.. anyone who can help me either get the tablet out of boot loop.. and or send stock and/or rooted firmware for the verizon tablet QMV7B I would be very grateful. Or if you know of a program I could use to wipe the m820,with steps by step “how to” for dummies please.. lol

Hi ,
Some four years back I was into flashing ,custom roms and stuff. Now I've totally forgotten that stuff. And back then I used to help people. Now I have an issue and I have no clue what to do. So if I am wrong with some terms please bare with me.
I have a cortex-a9 tablet. It's "Ainol Novo 9 Spark 2" to be precise . It's pre-rooted, since I bought it. But there's no recovery, judging by the fact that nothing comes up with the three-buttons method.
So 1-week ago I foolishly uninstalled Busybox, 'from the settings' and ended up with some sort of brick. The touch has stopped working. I have a pass on the lockscreen and the touch doesn't work as I already stated. However holding the power button does bring up the power-off options, I guess that means the tablet isn't totally bricked.
So if someone could provide instructions , name a method or point to a tutorial I'd be very thankful

Hey all this will seems to be quite an odd thread to all. but its been long i have been using generic HTC one S and i know this site very well since i bought my phone 3 years ago!
Very well, I need to know some basic stuff so i can get perfect mod and upgraded without making it available for my younger brother to play with it by throwing it on wall.
So a good help will be really appreciated.
Only couple of questions:
1. Best ROM that support Indian HTC one S models.
2. Best and 100% working method to get this done successfully.
3. Any way i can backup the generic ROM and framework and get things moving ?
please don't get angry on me, just help me to get my phone renovated.
Thanks XDA

Hi there,
Im a One S user, so PM me if you need anything or reply to this thread so everyone can see
Answers:
1) This matters on opinion, but I would recommend cyanogenmod 11 (or 12.1 as Lollipop). Don't do this yet, see answer 3 to back up.
2) I would just follow my next answer here but if you need a detailed reply, reply back.
3) Unlock bootloader, quite easy, and S-OFF first, in case you lose any data. Any music/pics/etc pls transfer to pc first . Then, after S-OFF (or unlocked bootloader) install a custom recovery TWRP by getting the img file, booting to FASTBOOT mode (If you are on stock OS then go to Settings -> Power -> Uncheck fast boot (This will allow you to boot into fastboot)) .
Then, if that's all succesfull, the rest is easy . Download a new rom (like my answer 1 suggests, CM11 or CM12.1) then flash it . I highly recommend making a nandroid backup in TWRP after this is done transfer to PC. With TWRP 2.8.7.0 you can enable MTP mode in recovery, and then transfer whole TWRP folder to PC. Then, give a full wipe twice for all partition in TWRP (except for USB-OTG obviously).
Any more questions please contact me or reply to this thread, thanks.
I've tried looking online for the stock rom but there is not alot of support for this device. It is a kinda cheap smartphone. I can access the revocery mode to install roms from my sd card but I can't find a working rom. I've searched the internet for 2 hours straight looking but I can't find anything. I really need help finding a compatible rom. My friend recommended my to you guy because he said you were very reliable. I love you. Please help me fix my phone I am very depressed. It's the first phone I've ever gotten. I bricked it by editing the build.prop file and the generic.kl file to disable the physical keys on my phone and enable the on screen keys if that makes sense. if you have any questions AT ALL feel free to ask. I love you guys, so please don't give up on me. I just want my phone back.
(I have a laptop, my phone, a USB cable and a micro sd card)
Again, it's an Alcatel One Touch Model: 5020n
The One Touch can also be appreviated to OT. My phone is also called an M'POP on the manufacturers site.
My phone looks exactly like this: http://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/p...Touch-MPop.jpg

I've tried a bunch of roms but my phone always displays the message "Installation aborted" which I think means it's not compatible. I've only tried to install .zip files
