[Completed] Galaxy Note 3 unroot error - XDA Assist

Hey guys, I tried unrooting my Note 3 (no specific carrier) via the SuperSU app (full unroot).
My device didn't reboot and when I tapped the SuperSU icon, the app did not open and an error message came up.
I then restarted my device manually, afterwards the SuperSU app was gone but the device was still in a custom state according to settings.
Also the software update was not possible, it also said the device was still modified.
I then tried installing the SuperSU app again, but now it says "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
Please help guys, this is crap.
UPDATE: I made a complete reset and updated back to stock via Odin. Now it works fine and the status is back to official. Knox Warranty Void though^^ 0x1. Smooth!

[Completed] [Q] Updating Rooted S4 from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2

Hello XDAdevelopers
I am out of patients with the internet, I searched all over including this forum but found nothing that helped me (possible I saw the help I needed but was unsure if it pertained to me).
The situation I am faced with is that I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, I opted for an international version (because of where I live). When I unboxed it to my surprise it came rooted (it is brand new fyi). Immediately after turning it on I saw that there was an update out for it, tried to get the update but I end up with a message saying (after saying registering device for 5 seconds) "Attention Processing Failed". I have combed through the forums to come to the conclusion that I can't update my device because it is rooted. I have tried to unroot my device though SuperSU and factory reset, but when I do this the device boots into the OS with rooted access.
So my question is how can I update my device to the official 4.4.2 (which at the moment is latest to my knowledge if there is a later version I would like to go to that instead). I don't mind losing any data and also I would like to re-root when I install 4.4.2 (given that after the process it is not rooted). Is there a way to go from rooted 4.2.2 to rooted 4.4.2?
Important information:
Model Number - GT-I9500
Android Version - 4.2.2 (stock rooted)
Baseband Version - I9500XXUAMDK
Build Number - JDQ39.F3A268.2JIA388 (That is what I see)
In status->Device status it says Custom
I do not live in America
Also if I need to install mods and other programs to my phone (or computer) please indicate because I am new to rooting Samsung devices. Lastly, think thing called cyanogen, I see that there are some very useful tools with it, would the end result of the procedure allow me to install this mod?
If more information is need, asked and I will provide it.
Hi,
You can likely install 4.4.2 manually with Odin. See this guide on that. You can also ask for help in this thread

[Completed] [Q] How to root Verizon S4??

I made another thread about this but found this section and decided it was a better area to post.
Well I tried using Odin to flash my phone before rooting and now I get an error that says "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Tap here for more information."
I have the Verizon S4 and im just looking for some help on getting a quick root to my phone. TowelRoot doesn't seem to be supported by my phone.

Yes, similar things happened for the TowelRoot on the S5 too.
Here is the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4 General [HOW TO] [ROOT] [APK] Root for NC5 OTA (All Kitkat devices) without PC!!! thread.
It also refers to TowelRoot app, which only works on older firmware versions ... unfortunately no longer on latest versions. (As they have the respective exploit patched.)
And the Verzion S4 has a locked bootloader. That's why you can't flash a custom recovery etc. with Odin.
A possibe solution coud be to "downgrade" to an older firmware (or kernel) and then root it with TowelRoot.
EDIT: I see that you have already asked in the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
That's the right place. Be patient and wait for a better advice from there.
Thread closed and thank you.

[Completed] Rooted, then Unroot (turns out not completely)... Help!!

Hello, first off I have a Galaxy s3 SCH-I535, 4.3 software version. A few months back I rooted my phone, but. I decided to unroot it to get the 4.4.2 mostly because the "install software update now" screen kept, keeps on popping up every few hours. Sometimes not even an hour. I went to YouTube to check up on videos showing me how to unroot my phone. I found a user that supposedly showed how to unroot a phone without a computer. I followed his instructions and, technically, it worked. But I came to find out that his method didn't unroot my phone. I still can't update my software and I can't seem to be able to finish my uprooting. I even tried rerooting in order to unroot it by another mood but I can't do that either. When I try to reroot it with the "saferoot" method (which was the program I used to first root it) there is a sign that says "your kernel has being patched". It reinstalled SuperSU but the app says that it doesn't detect an SU binary. I'm lost. I really need help. I much much rather know how to finish my unrooting.
Hi,
The first post here is about returning to stock state. If you need further help you can ask in the thread,

[Completed] How do I root my Samsung Galaxy S4 when Supersu says There is no Su binary installed

So about a year ago i rooted my galaxy S4, and somehow along the way it became not rooted. I don't know how....I think it must have been the phone updating itself. I downloaded root checker and verified that my phone is not rooted.
I tried using towelroot and everything went normal except when i hit the make it rain button it told me that my phone isn't currently supported.
I googled, youtubed, and searched this forum and somewhere along the way i learned that SuperSU might be the problem. when i go and hit the Supersu icon on my phone a message box appears and says "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device!
I tried to update it through the google play store and it didnt work, also tried to go into my files and uninstall the app that way but the uninstall button and clear data buttons are greyed out.
My device is the Samsung Galaxy S4 on verizon

SU Binary
For me I just followed the root instructions on the S4 page and when it said no SU Binary detected/needs to be updated I just let SU binary install through SuperSU from the play store.

[Completed] [Q] I have rooted but reset my device

Okay, so I have rooted my device and when I opened super USER SU I followed the correct steps but it failed to disable knox. (My device was rooted according to root checker) so I went on to figure out a way to Uninstall knox, I did so and knox is now nowhere to be found. I reset my device after trying once more because SU said installation failed. Then I looked for ways to unroot my device. I tried but was not successful. After this my tablet was freshly reset and I tried to root again using Oden 3. This did not work and root checker said it was not rooted. After all of this I would just like to have knox back, (I Uninstalled it) have my device unrooted and back to factory conditions. I have searched and could not find an efficient way to do this. Please help me. :crying: (SM-T320 Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro)
