I updated my Galaxy S6 (G920I) to version 5.1.1 (India). Besides losing the clean root which had (it's OK. Let's wait ), the advertised features are not there, as the "guest mode". May I be an ****ing newbie or I was deceived? someone had a similar experience?

Hello, I'll jump right in;
I'm wondering if it's possible to go from rooted 6.0.1 to rooted Nougat 7.0.0 (superman rom or something) without having to go back to the stock firmware in between.
So to be perfectly clear:
I have 6.0.1 SM-G935P ROOTED
And I'm trying to get to:
7.0 (nougat) SM-G935P ROOTED
And I want to know if you can skip updating to OFW 7.0 and skip straight to CFW 7.0
(old PSP terminology: OFW official firmware/CFW custom firmware)
Phone info:
Baseband G935PVPu2APE1
Build MMB29M
Model SM-G935P
Android V 6.0.1
EDIT:
Is 7.0.0 only for unlocked phones? If so, is it possible to unlock my version/model and will I still be able to use my Sprint network with an unlocked phone? Thanks guys!
Edit #2:
Also, is there a list of custom roms for specific devices anywhere? Or would any custom rom made for S7 Edge work on any S7 Edge? I'm trying to get substratum working and it says I need a rom that's compatible with OMS and Masquerade.
Hello,
My model is changed to SM-G925K [S6 Edge] and my phone is a Flat S6. My android version is 5.1.1 on XtreStoLite Deo Modv.2.4 - XXU3COI9.
My Kernel Version is 3.10.61-S6_unikernel_v9_0000_initial and baseband is G920FXXU3ZPA1. I want to update to android N and obviously, I cannot. I forgot what to do since the last time I touched this phone and rooting was a long time ago.
My question is what bootloader should I update to in order to update to android N and get rid of the edge variant on this phone. Thanks in advance.
[FIXED] Followed the instructions on this website to update to 6.0.1 and then installed a custom 7.0 rom in TWRP.
Hi,
I want to root my Galaxy S6 using CF-Auto-Root.
Unfortunately my model (SM-G9200) on Android 7.0 does not have my build available in CF-Auto-Root.
I wanted to ask, can I root my model with an older build of 6.0.1? The page states:
"To be clear, just because you have a newer Android version than listed here, does NOT mean the CF-Auto-Root will not work - there's a good chance that it will!"
Is it safe to try and use an older build?
If I try and it doesn't work, will the process fail gracefully without any damage to my phone, or will I brick my phone?
What if I try to use an android 7.0 build of another model with the same board and platform?
I'm a noob at rooting, so I'm not sure why I gotta root a specific build, as long as I have the same chipset as other S6 devices with different builds?
I'd be very happy if someone knows the answers to the questions above - I'm terrified of trying these stuff and bricking my phone.
Last thing - if I cannot use any of the methods above, can someone please ask to add support for my current build & model in the CF-Auto-Root thread?

Unfortunately, as I am a noob here, I cannot post in that thread by myself.
My devicedetails:
Device: Galaxy S6 (China Dual Sim - Hong Kong)
Model: SM-G9200
Android version: 7.0

Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks

Don't expect Samsung spends time to build Android 6 or 7 for this old model.
Hi. I´m aware of this. For this reason I´m looking for a stable customized rom for my tablet based on Android 6.0 ou 7.0.
SM-P905M - Update
I'm facing the same issue, looking forward to have an stable version update for my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P905M) based on Android 6.0 or later, anyone aware if there is any available Custom ROM for this device. I'm new into Custom Rom's... Thanks a lot!
I don't understand this rush to update all the time. Every update to this tablet has resulted in some issues which took time to get Samsung to fix. That's why you see the .2 in 5.0.2. That was a fix to get external keyboards to work again.
My tablet runs just fine on 5.0.2 today.
Because this is a great tablet with hardware still modern for the day but hobbled by an increasingly ancient stock OS due to Samsung's ineptitude at caring for its customers.
Security updates??
