[Q] [MOD] CM12S - Disable notification vibration? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
this question might seem old but I am not satisfied with the standard answer that is given to my problem. What I want to do is disable the vibration of any notifications in Vibration Mode. Many would suggest downloading true silent mode but this is not what I need - the incoming calls vibration should stay as it is - I just want the notification override gone.
I'm asking this in the development section because I thought there might be a string inside a file that is responsible for the vibrating behavior that could be changed.
Thanks you for your help!

nobody?

There is currently no way in doing that unless some feature packed custom rom comes up with some crazy notification tweaks

Call and Notification Vibration Intensity?

[Q] how can I *ENABLE* system sounds within silent mode?

Everywhere I look, people are trying to silence all their system sounds with or without using silent mode. My wish, however, is quite the opposite.
I want to be able to have system sounds (lock / unlock / touch sounds, etc.) ON while having notifications and rings set to SILENT.
Even specialized apps like Ultimate Sound Control have system and ringer sounds linked. Can't mute or enable one without the other.
And I don't want to set ringer to silent and all notifications to silent and then increase volume. No, that would not be practical. I want to be able to use silent mode toggle to turn ringer/notification sounds and all ON when needed.
Am I the only weird one around? Is everyone so determined about this that Android has no possibility to do this?
Thank you if you have any solutions. My N5 is rooted, by the way.
Don't think it's possible. Sorry.

[Q] Lollipop - Vibrations for calls only

Good evening and a happy new year folks,
My question is actually a pretty simple one: With KitKat I was able to set my phone to vibrate mode, disable all vibrations in apps, except for the dialer et voila my phone would only vibrate for calls. With Lollipop now, no matter what I do to get the same behavior back, everything fails. While being in vibrate mode all notifications will vibrate and in priority mode I will miss calls of non-priority contacts.
Does anybody know a way to get this behavior back? I am on stock & rooted 5.0.1 btw.

Disable vibration in priority mode

Hi,
does anyone know how to disable vibration for notifications in priority mode? For example when someone is calling me and I don't answer the phone there is a vibrating notification even in priority mode (I have disabled Events/reminders interruptions).
This is a big issue for me because I dont want my phone to make any noises/vibrations during meetings, at night etc.
Thanks

Modding alert slider to go into Do Not Disturb mode?

Hi everyone,
I'm finding that the standard alert slider behaviour (ring / vibrate / silent) is not useful, as it's hard for me to go into Do Not Disturb mode. In the old OnePlus models this was standard, but now it's not available. I can't quite understand that, as DND is objectively better than Silent since it can do everything Silent can do plus more configurability. Anyways...
Is there any way to mod this behaviour back into the phone? I.e. is there a custom ROM or otherwise that supports modifying the alert slider behaviour? Any other ways? I read about using Tasker to read the state of three_Key_mode but this doesn't seem to work for me.
Thanks in advance,
Douglas
OK, so with a bit of playing around in Tasker, I finally got this working.
The Custom Setting to look for is the "oplus_mode_ringer" which, when set to 0, indicates that you have the slider set to Silent.
Then in your task, you first need to set DND. Then you need to set mode_ringer to 2 and alert_slider_mode to 3 if you want to retain the ringing.
