where did i mess up to get this verizon unauthorized message?

i had a stock rom...rooted it, then went to install one of the roms from the website here and the custom kernel...now i keep getting this lame message...detected unauthorized software please take your phone to a verizon store. what am i doing wrong here??

Are you trying to use odin or have you flashed a custom recovery, cm or twrp?

This really should be in the general discussions not in development. At the leased it should be in a post in the development for the ROM you were trying.

Probably just didn't use Kexec

Way too many d-bags on XDA. Yes, he posted in the wrong forum, now he knows and I'm sure a mod will move it. Saying it over and over again and being a d-bag while doing it, doesn't help anyone.
OP, as others have stated, you are probably best off going back to a stock rom from Odin and ensuring you have a proper recovery flashed. Then start over with whatever it was you were trying to do.

lol wow guys, i didnt check this for a few days and honestly i will probably never post here again. i downloaded ez-recovery as i was told to do in many posts. i installed a kexec recovery...cwm 6.0.1.0. i followed the instructions in the synergy rom page and installed it through cwm. i then downloaded the Imoseyons Lean Kernel and installed it in cwm, rebooted and received the error message.
i have flashed several roms and recoveries over the years with the droid inc, droid inc2. and now the samsung. sorry to start a flame war. i will not post here again. i was simply trying to help report issues to developers.

Top just posted on G+ that he has KK booting but most things are broken... That does not mean we are for sure going to get it all working for the I727, but TC is surely working towards getting us yet another year of flashing and hopefully DD...

Very cool! I tried compiling it last night, but it failed pretty quickly. I'm not a developer, so I don't know how to fix it.

You've been answered - search is your friend.
There's a dedicated thread for unlocking, which requires specific ROM and radio that you need to flash in order to unlock. Find the thread - not hard - and do what is says to do. No need to bother people being lazy.

I give it to you this is not the easiest of the searches to come across.
You have to follow directions and know what you're doing in terms of flashing ROMs ...

It just seems like there are more Roms/Development on the "9005/International" in various forums.

Yup definitely a good choice. Also if you are looking at roms I'd recommend checking out the jedi rom in the t-mobile section

Yes mate. As long as he can put up with his phone showing that it's a n900t and not the n9005. Then yes, yes and thrice yes. Imo it's the best rom out there.
Of course if it's an issue then he simply needs to alter the build.Prop to display the correct model. For me it's of no concern so I never bothered.
So to re cap my phone is an n9005 and that's the rom I use.

You know what that's a really interesting thing you've said there. Everyone else is fine with nfc but mine isn't working. So you could very well be right there.
As for the kernel I prefer to use saber kernel anyway. It's what I've used for a couple years with my note 2 etc. That is the one that is baked into the jedi rom.
Regarding nfc I have a Galaxy gear so had to manually connect which I can live with. Perhaps others couldn't?

That is true but if you are in Canada and you want LTE you should have got the N900W8, where you also have the unique advantage that you can do a lot of stuff without triggering knox and you can also downgrade from 4.4 to 4.3!
But all that is your mistake for not reading around and not posting your QUESTION in Q/A/Help section.

To be honest I'm not so worried about the technical limitations now, experience tells me a lot of these will be resolved over time. And I haven't downgraded to 4.3 now for a while. But I guess time will tell, eh?

Since the update to 4.4 which model wins over all on benchmark tests?
All I know is that the snapdragon 800 model on 4.4 is impossibly fast!

Should just get your local N900W8. You get to flash any ROM + Kernel + CWM without voiding any sort of warranty!
You can't do that on any other device and all you need to do as an extra step is to flash the KitKat fix found everywhere on the Canadian threads.

NB1 Does not use lot of Memory

I like NB1 rom best as it does not use as much memory as NJ4. NJ4 is a memory Hog to me.

yo can u guys answer a question for me...if i was on nj4..and say screwed up a rom install, the only way to get back operational is to odin back to NB1 and then update to nj4..if i stay on nb1 does that mean i can flash roms for nb1 or is it more than just the rom..n those r questions my question key just doesnt work lol

You can flash any TW ROM with NB1 up to NJ4. You just have to flash the modules that match the kernel after you do a SS ROM.
