*PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING*
Iv'e made 4 full versions of this theme, an alternative dialer, 2 smart keyboard skins, themed Facebook, themed Power Control, and a goodies pack (wallpapers and dock icons). There are two main Blackout-Blue versions: a circle battery version and a horizontal (stock) battery version. For each of those there is a grey mix and a white mix. These versions have either grey or white themed status bar notification images (3G, bluetooth connected, silent mode, missed call,speakerphone, and gps on.). The alternative dialer is NOT the full theme rather just the original Blackout dialer look I created for my other two themes. This only includes the phone and dialer apps so if you want this dialer install AFTER installing a full version of Blackout-Blue. The keyboards are NOT flashable and you must have Smart keyboard in order to use. To install Facebook and Power Control remember to UNINSTALL the stock apps first before installing. I worked really hard on this theme so if you enjoy it please consider donating! Finally, on a side note - I haven't forgot about those of you who wanted a Blackout-Orange

Installation Instructions (For full theme versions and Alternative dialer ONLY)
1. Download theme and save to SD card
2. Boot into Clockwork Recovery
3. Select downloaded theme and install
4. Reboot
For Goodies just unzip file (There are 2 folders inside - wallpapers and dock icons) then put folders/images onto your sd card and change dock icons/wallpapers to your liking.
For Facebook and Power Widget uninstall stock apps (Power Control is NOT a system app so you'll only have it if you have downloaded it from the market) first then install the themed versions.

I like the widget.
Some suggestions/ bugs:
- if I choose 100% alpha for background, analog clock, etc. it is not really invisible, there is still a shadow
- instead to turn the alpha to 100% to make background, analog clock, etc. invisible give a selection to turn off (e.g dont show background)
- I cant use any of my picture for background
- in the settings gui in portrait mode we have to scroll to the right side. Why dont you use 2 rows for all the settings buttons?

Yes, use pictures with low size. the product of height and width of the picture should be less than 120000, preferably of the same size as background dimensions for best result.

So, you've downloaded and been blown away by the most advanced ROM on the HTC One M8 - ViperOne M8!!
Well, the fun doesn't end there! Thanks to Team Venom's powerful theme engine, you can change multiple elements of the theme on the fly - a never-before seen feature on any ROM.
Of course as with anything new, there is much confusion how this works. The aim of this thread is to clarify how to change various aspects of the theme, and unleash the full power of the Viper!
There are 2 aspects to themeing on ViperOne M8:
The built in theme engine (covering statusbar icons, Sense icons, wallpapers, fonts etc)
The full flashable theme, which completely transforms the look of your device
To some degree, the effects of these are independent. So you can change aspects of the built in theme without changing the skin, or change the skin but keep theme elements. Or even keep everything, and just change the Sense icons. The possibilities are endless.
The secret to ViperOne's stunning good looks is a combination of the above, and you can find more information on this over the next 4 posts
Please post any theme questions / issues here rather than on the main ROM thread, let's keep that clean for ROM issues.

PLEASE NOTE:
- It is highly recommended you dirty flash the ROM (flash without wipe) between switching themes
- It is highly recommended you change TWRP settings to remove screen timeout, if you want to flash multiple mods at once. Go to Settings > Screen > Uncheck enable screen timeout.
So, you've had a play around with the Venom Hub and seen how many customization options are available. But somehow, it's not quite enough?! Well, that's where the RedVenom theme comes in. This is a full flashable theme that takes the customization to the next level.
As you can see from the screenshots, flashing the theme brings a touch of red to all elements of the UI, including all the system images, phone, keyboard etc.

ViperLight NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Change between 8 different themes on the fly using settings > personalize > themes
Choose between light or dark dialer and keyboard
Directions to do your own ViperLight custom colour:
(requires ViperLight 3.x.x to be flashed first, preferably without extended colours):
1. Download ViperLight Custom 3.0 zip from here, and unzip on your PC.
2. Download HxD hex editor from here
3. In the unzipped file, navigate to \vrtheme\system\framework\com.htc.resources.apk and open the resources.arsc with HxD
4. Using the replace function (ctrl+r) replace 12 34 56 with your chosen hex. Two values should be replaced. Please note, that you need to reverse your number for hex, so 33 B5 E5 (ICS Blue) would become E5 B5 33 when replacing with HxD. Also ensure that you are searching in hex-values, as pictured below.
5. Save the file in HxD (and you can delete the .bak file in the folder), then zip the files back up.
6. Copy to device and flash in recovery. You custom theme will be theme number two.
Please let me know of any issues.

Just flash the zip through recovery. To revert back, just reflash the ROM without wiping.

So you've read about the revolutionary theme engine in the ROM thread. But what exactly can you do with it? Basically, it allows you to alter some of the graphical elements on the fly, without needing to flash or even reboot.
Using Venom Tweaks, you can change the appearance of:
Statusbar icons
EQS icons
Battery icons
Sense icons
Notification shade background
App drawer background
These elements are all independent and can be changed to suit your tastes. So, you can use icons from different icon sets to mix and match your own personal theme.
But that's not all. Take a closer look at the screens where you choose statusbar themes and icon sets. You'll notice that each supported statusbar icon can be changed independently. So you like wifi icon from theme A, but battery from theme B? No problem, download both and mix it up as much as you want. You're only limited by what's available in the Hub.
And if there's some icons you want that aren't in the Hub? That's what the Venom kitchen is for.....Special thanks to:

As if the ROM wasn't customisable enough, the ROM devs have also developed the Venom theme kitchen.
Really want some statusbar icons that aren't in the Hub,or got a great idea for a set of Sense icons? Why not make it yourself and share it with others via the Venom Hub?!
We've put some themes in the Hub to get you started, but the aim is to fill it with user generated content.
We've tried to make the tutorial as easy as possible, but if you have any questions, here's the place to ask.
Post your completed themes here, with a screenshot. If the theme looks nice we will add it with credits to the venom hub, so all users can download it from there!
One thing we ask though - ideally you'd be using icons you've created yourself. If you are going to use someone's else icons, please ask them for their permission first.
We all spend a lot of our free time making these, and it's really annoying to see your work ripped off by someone else! I'm sure you'd all agree.

ROM Installation process:
1) Go to CWM based recovery (PhilzTouch Recovery is recommended) by holding HOME - POWER - and VOL UP BUTTON
2) Do a FULL WIPE, highly recommended!
3) Choose "Install ZIP from sdcard"
4) Choose ROM zip file
5) Go through AROMA (Choose only what you want to install)
6) Wait for finishing flashing
7) Reboot and enjoy

Very good as compared to any other 4.4 based.

Switch to battery save profile under agni control app for usage timing and as far as stand by time is concerned, greenify apps. This will give you good battery life like never before.

I have no problems with camera on this ROM. Maybe try to reinstall.

I did, and it worked fine. I did have a problem, so I reinstalled with Philz in case that was the reason, but it wasn't, I still had the problem.
My problem was that although Viper4Android was installed, the driver wasn't, and it would not install. It claimed busybox or root wasn't working. I think the problem was that another audio engine had open a file that it needed to change. Once I deleted Adapt Sound and SoundFX and rebooted (I think that's what they were called) I could then install the V4A driver.
I think the files it s trying to change are:
/etc/audio_effects.conf
/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
I also get a lot of FCs in Root Explorer, and occasional FCs in TouchWiz (possibly the weather widget).

Su binary is outdated as said in op open superuser and it will prompt you for updating su binary confirm and do that. Everything will work fine.

Updated Su binary, of course. V4A driver doesn't install. Updated busybox too. Even un-rooted and re-rooted via Philz option and also via flashing the latest supersu zip. There was no problem with root, or with buysybox, but the V4A driver would simply not install because of the other sound apps.
Just to prove this, I just reinstalled the ROM. Updated SU binary. Root is OK, V4A driver will not install. Disabled Adapt Sound and SoundFX in applications manager, rebooted phone. Then and only then could the V4A driver install. It's a known problem and solution on TW roms on other phones. That's how I found out what to do.
Would anyone install this rom share us rom picx and i want to know if i can use twrp 2.8.7.0 v1.6 which is here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...sions-t2694249) to install that rom or must do it by philz touch. cause i see conflict to use twrp or philz.

I installed with Philz and with TWRP v2.8.7.0 (Sdt v1.5) and noticed no difference. It installed fine either way.
