[Q] Sm-g920i constant bootloop after latest Samsung VirusDate - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hope someone can help.
My sm-g920i worked fine and it did a auto update to the latest firmware OTA.
This then contained a torjan / virus / ??? with hackers from Russia playing with my GPS to some small town location in Russia, interfered with FB, maps, uber, ..... but eventually listed the right location.
Extensive data used for no apparent reason and could not get rid of this problem.
Disabled all internet, first wifi and later only mobile data, eventually I had to "applications manager" and nearly uninstall anything / all apps on the phone not locked by stock rom / spam apps from Samsung.
Problem, phone became hell on earth to use, started lagging so bad, did a factory reset to see if it worked and I presume some how the trojan or virus from Samsung OTA was written into the NAND.
Now the phones goes into constant boot loop, shows Samsung start screen and red "not seadroid enforcing"
Odin flashed stock firmware, twrp, deoxed version, old, new, everything except the clown on the moon and all with the same results.
I can get into the green download screen, it still refuses to take a official stock rom or any rom, except twrp and cf-auto-root as successful flashes.
Yes downloaded 5 new copies of several versions of the stock rom and same results, formatted Win8.1 PC just in case and same results after new downloads, swapped cables ........
Can NOT get into any type of boot loader / reset screen, excuse the incorrect labels, brain dead from trying to fix this.
Any suggestions on how to fix this ?
Tried the Tmobile rom just in incase it would take, same results.

Try smart switch, emergency software recovery and initialisation, then software update and initialisation, enter your model name click search, then your serial number and it should download the correct full ROM for you. Phone will need to be in download mode for this to work.
mine was in a bootloop and no matter what i tried it would still loop, until I did the above.

I've never heard of malware from an official OTA update.
Are you 100% sure your phone is a genuine Samsung?
Sent from my SM-G920I using XDA Premium HD app

Thank you will try the smart switch option now.
Yes 100% genuine, I have seen several other post with similar issues from the latest malware from Samsung.

I have the same problem,
any solution ?

Try using a different USB cable or plugging in different USB ports then flash.

Did u end up fixing your s6?

[Q] Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 (Soft Brick) (Complete (Write)/NAND Write Odin Error)

So I was previously running the MF3 baseband on my SGH-I337 (ATT) and couldn't install any custom ROMs until I tried safestrap. I installed the Google Play Edition ROM and it worked successfully, except the WiFi wouldn't turn on. I could have flashed modem files but I was advised multiple times not to do so. Anyways, I was removing the ROM through safestrap and accidentally wiped my system and all its files I think. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop (constant Samsung logo) and I can't recover with ODIN because I get an error (shown below). Also, I could only find a TAR file which ends with either MK2 or MDL, my phone was previously MF3, could this be the cause of any problem? Any fixes?
Additional Info:
1) I cannot boot into stock recovery, I'm always forced into download mode.
2) ODIN gives the error everytime I try to flash the stock ROM that I downloaded.
3) I've tried flashing the 16GB PIT file with little luck, the operation finished successfully but I'm still not able to flash anything else because:

I'm quite new to all of this, any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if I'm leaving out information, just ask if needs be.
My i337 is doing the same thing, except I started on mk2. I see tons of folks asking about complete write fail on google, so I know this is a bigger issue that hasn't been identified yet...but when I get this POS working, I am selling it and NEVER buying anything with a locked bootloader (or the AT&T logo) again. I wish I had researched better and chosen a tmobile S4 to use on at&t.
I got the exact same error like you do in Odin with flashing a new PDA / Recovery. Cannot get rid of error messages, status 7, fail in odin and so on, but my phone isnt in boot loop like yours..

Galaxy S3 SCH-I535- Stuck In Odin Mode After Trying To Downgrade To 4.3

Screwed up, need some help. (4.4.2 to 4.3 attempt gone bad)
Hello everyone out there! Long time lurker, first time poster.
So I've had what seems to be a soft brick on my verizon s3 (SCH-I535) and it is time to just lay it out here because (as always) I can't find the fix to MY problem (so selfish I know )
So let's start at the very beginning..
I have had my s3 for awhile now and I ended up rooting the phone to stay on 4.3. The biggest reason for this was to keep FoxFi working (I have no internet where I live and tethering is the only option). Once FoxFi was working for 4.4 I decided to go ahead and update but first I had to unroot which wasn't a big deal. I unrooted and voila! I was on 4.4.2!
Okay so I just tried ThePagel's methosd
When I upgraded, I noticed my FoxFi was VERY slow all of a sudden and being a gamer, I didn't like this one bit! So I thought to myself "Hey, just flash back to your 4.3 file."... as I hear all of your collective heads shaking in disappointment, followed by facepalms, I now see the error of my ways.. Attempting to flash back to 4.3 of course hung my phone up in Odin (It was stuck at SetupConnect I believe) and this led to my soft brick. Bummer...
So what have I attempted? Well I kept seeing this thread pop up, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586319 but it's talking about the OTA for 4.3.... I was 4.4.2. I also attempted to fix the issue via this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 and alas, it fails me as well.
Now as far as errors for these trails, let's get down to what I see on my phone and what I see on odin..
When trying the Hero's method, Odin fails with this log:

On my phone, I get this log: (Under download mode of course)
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I535
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
(In grey)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
BOOTLOADER RP (or AP, can't tell) SWREV: 2
(in red)
SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0.
Right now I am downloading the file needed in ThePagel's fix but it is VERY slow (only dial up and satellite internet I **** you not, out here). When that gets done I will come back here and post the same logs for both the phone and ODIN should it not work.
I see there are a lot of fixes out there for various things but the problem is, I don't know exactly what is wrong with my phone. Of course if I try to turn it on normally I get the yellow triangle so the fact it turns on means it is a soft brick. I have also read a lot of threads talking about custom recovery but I don't know how this works. Does custom recovery get me back into recovery mode? Or is this only for when your phone is rooted. Anyway, I'd love to pick some brains on this matter and maybe someone sees something in the errors that I do not.
I apologize for my ignorance... all I wanted to do was go back to 4.3 and root it to stay there.. if this can not be done and I am forced to stay with 4.4.2, I will do so.. but any advice for either would be a great welcomed sight. Send links to threads and what have you if you don't want to type, other than to call me an idiot, I deserve it for not reading and understanding everything fully before attempting this flash.
Okay I just tried ThePagel's method and this is what I get:

****UPDATE****
I was able to find a stock, no frills 4.4.2 kitkat and I flashed that. My phone is back working again. Is there a way to delete this thread?
I don't believe there is any way to delete the thread without getting a forum moderator to do so.
Personally I would recommend against deleting it. Better would be using it as a teaching example for others who find themselves in the same predicament, especially since you added how you fixed the issue. It may also help some from making the same error.

Anyone offer any help? Completely stumped, all explained below.

Heyy XDA,
Writing this post as I'm completely stumped on this one
Basically when I first got my S6 I rooted it and all, and everything was fine, I then unrooted it in order to update the OS to 5.1.1 which again all went fine.
This was about 4 days ago. Since this there hasn't been any issues what so ever, until this morning when the phone died. After charging it back up to 100% I switched it on and it just chilled in a bootloop.
From here I tried soft resetting the phone, but it stayed in the loop. I then tried clearing the cache, which again had no effect. I've also tried wiping the phone entirely and putting it back to factory which again did nothing to help and safemode didn't boot as it restarted as soon as the display lit up (baring in mind that the OS is completely stock and the phone is unrooted.)
After no avail with the phone, I decided to try rooting the phone, hoping that it would 'kick' it back to life as that's what Apple devices do... :good: , however after attempting to root the phone it just stayed on the samsung screen with the error 'recovery is not seandroid enforcing'.
Then I thought ... F*** ... and downloaded the 5.1.1 firmware for my current model (G920F, UK model, EE network) which I then tried to flash through ODIN v3.10.7, however I got the error of:
'<ID:0/006> Added!!

I've checked that this is the correct version, as well as checked the MD5 to ensure its not corrupted. Also I've tried restarting my PC and tried all 5 USB ports.
Anyone have any other ideas other than start moaning to Samsung and trick them into giving me a new phone??
Thanks in advance,
Dark :highfive:
If you don't have tripped knox, you definitively should bring it to warranty.
But I think, by installing root you tripped it already.
Now you have two options. The first is to bring it to warranty and 'pray' that they doen't discover the altered KNOX state.
The second is, you can search for a complete firmware with PIT file and everything.
I see that you understand how to flash phones, but I will again alert you an others that have the same problem and read that post: Be sure to select the PIT file which corresponds to your phone's size (32, 64, 128GB)
However, bring it first to warranty. If they doesn't want to repair, take second option which is PIT flashing. If that doesn't take efect either, you must bring it to repair, and unfortunately, pay to repair this phone.
Tried a different cable?

Tried rooting Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime with Cricket Wireless, now won't boot?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, purchased through Cricket Wireless. I wanted an adblocker and tetherer, so I installed the KingRoot apk and ran it from my phone. I didn't do anything besides enabling third party apps. I then used the KingRoot Software to uninstall some bloatware. I installed an ad blocker, but it said my phone was in an unrecognized state and I should restart. So I did. When I do, It shows the sansung galaxy grand prime logo with an unlocked symbol underneath it. In the top right in red text is "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING". That screen then changes to a yellow alert triangle above the text "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please not that reapir/return for this issue may have additional cost." This screen does not change. Is there a way to fix this?
Edit: Okay, I found out that samsung uses a different keyboard combo to enter download and recovery than I'm used to. So I can get into that. I'm going to try a factory reset.
Another Edit: I am unable to get back into that screen. It displays a "do you want to install a custom rom? y/n" page instead. Yes goes to a "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" page, byt it's not plugged into anything. No goes back to the security error.
Edit again: I'm stupid I was holding the wrong volume key. Now I'm rebooting the system.
Edit: The hard factory reset did not work. Evidently there is also not a cyanogenmod available for the grand prime. But samsung makes the firmware available for download here www dot sammobile dot com/firmwares/download/49208/G531FXXU1AOF7_G531FPHE1AOF2_PHE/. So I just download that, then do like adb push rom.zip with the phone plugged in and in download and recovery in apply update from ADB mode?
Edit: I tried following these instructions www dot droidviews dot com/install-official-android-5-1-1-lollipop-on-samsung-galaxy-grand-prime/ and it gave this error:

Hi I'm having the same problem. Please respond if you got it fixed and let me know thanks!

[Reward for the helper] No clue as to whats happening - GT N8010

Dear users of XDA,
I've used to flash quite alot. Starting with my HTC HD2, then with the Lg Optimus and so forth.
But I came across an deadlock where all my skills failed me, no matter how much research I did.
So, here's a briefe explenation of what happened so far:
1.: I tryed to flash an custom recovery via Odin. Couldn't install it because of an issue with the PIT, wen't ahead and got one from XDA.
After that, everything went to hell. I couldn't boot anything, only the download-mode. So I downloaded an official Firmware from SamMob (chose carefully the proper one) and was even able to get an success via odin. But then, the first boot went straight into Download-Mode and that pretty much concludes the tight spot I'm currently in.
2.: I tryed to install desperatly a custom recovery but failed right after the img part.
3.: I tryed instaling to install other firmwares from SamMob but to no avail. - It always failed in Odin at the NAND write fail.
4.: I tryed different recoverys and PITs but then again to no avail.
I wanted to use this tab for my rather long way to work and spend what little savings I had as apprentice.
But with my lousy wage, I promise to donate something to the one who's willing to help me in my stupid and nerve-wrecking odyssey.
Best regards,
Zakkusu
PS: I seriously believe the main issue lies within that NAND Write error. (example of odin from previouse attempts)
