128gb Micro SD card Sandisk for 60 bucks - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Memor..._cp_147_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=19KGDX5HP1GJV8EC5K0M
They're having a nice sale on SD Cards today. I bought one and had Best Buy price match the sale. I'll be keeping my Note 4. No SD, no money from me.

Couldn't resist. Need more space for music and pictures.

How about a 500gb Micro SD card...15 bucks??? 2% space used??? SERIOUSLY?

@dugryce since you brought it up, not the community.. mind taking a picture of that Class 10 500GB micro sd card, on a piece of paper with XDA written on it ?

Oh...did I say 15 bucks? I meant 9!!! It takes FOREVER to get, but works flawlessly! Got it from Geek...it's an app, and it's amazing!

I appreciate that. I was only trying to see what the product sent to you looked like and dize reference. Glad you got a good deal on 512 GB of micro storage. Could you please report after reaching 200GB + of space used. Im actually really curious and intrigued if they sold you a legit working 512er.
All constructive here. Not calling you out or trying to make you feel crappy about your purchase. Just genuinely intrigued if the threshold exceeds ~ 200GB . Thanks again for the photo! Nice purchase and thanks for the share.

Yea the only thing I've seen close to that was a regular sdxc card for $800.
Edit: did a little searching http://www.cnet.com/news/microdia-will-sell-a-1000-ish-512gb-microsd-come-july/

I was really expecting to see 60 bucks but got 70 instead lol

Well, I'm kind of new to this realm of XDA, and when I saw the opportunity in Geek to purchase such a high volume of space for just 15 bucks, I jumped. It did take FOREVER for it to arrive, and of course I knew nothing about "fake" SD cards...so far, no issues. When and if I can ever get above 200gb, I'll let everyone know. Some suggested that I load a bunch of Linux images on it to check capacity. I might try that via Google Drive. Again, I heard speak of a 2TB Micro SD card coming out soon from somewhere, so I thought, a half TB was nothing too special. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

I bought a 128GB generic SD card from a ebay seller for 8 bucks. So far it's been performing good. I'm happy and so is my wallet.

There is no way that is a real working card. Clearly fake. Man why are we even talking about this. Xda users shouldn't be so gullible. As quickly as you can, fill it up with anything. Unmount the card, and remount it. Go and check your files. The folders will all be there, but the beginning files you put on the card wiki be gone.
It will take some time to fill up, depending on how new your computer is. Maybe it will hold 16 gb, than after that all the folders above say 16 gb will still be there, but go into the folders that copied the first 16 gb , and the data won't be there. Don't be surprised if it only holds 8 gb though.

I'm not believing that. Try what I said than report back. Confirming that all files, and I do mean all files copied to card are there. Doesn't count if you have like 6 gb on there.
Not trying to come off as a ****. Nobody makes cards for that cheap. Dugryce closed his thread cause he is butt hurt that he got scammed. He went on the defensive when people are just telling him to test his card. No way any of these cards are real. The ones in the opening post, yeah that's real. But 500gb for $15, come on now. If a 500 gb micro sd actually existed right now it would be $500+ which it doesn't exist. Or 128 for $8, that doesn't even make sense.
Things not to cheap out on, electronics, and auto parts. Lol, would you buy a no name knock off Xbox one from Ecuador for 10% the cost of an actual Xbox and expect it to play perfectly fine Xbox one games. No, of course not, it would probably light up and have some half ass menu system and that's it.

LOL at what this thread turned into. Hope someone else was able to scoop up an sd card when they were on sale.

I know you were trying to help and your link is a good deal. But we don't need a bunch of people who don't know any better going on eBay and wasting time and money. Just trying to help people not get scammed. There are good deals to be had it there, but within reason. If it seems way to good to be true than someone is making a buck off you at your expense.

Goldeneye...I believe you...I bought a 128 gig card before I got my 512 gig and put 30 gigs of music on it. Still works fine. Paid 9 or 10 bucks from China. These guys ragged on me about my 500gb card...so I loaded it up with 340gb of data to test it. Took freakin' 3 days...worked fine. These guys aren't the end all be all of information. The arrogance of these people AMAZES me. They don't corner the market on what exists and what doesn't. Just people that want to hate on people looking to share a good find. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of seeing anything ever again. I told the moderator who gave me a warning about my own thread that I wouldn't share anything with these ungrateful haters again in life...so I just kept the results to myself. Your card is most likely fine. Just leave it alone. I believe you have a functional card.

32gb MicroSDHC for 16.99?

that looks too good to be true- Im tempted!
When something seems to be too good to be true it usually is.
Memory cards aren't something you wanna be cheap about. Specially since cheaper knock off cards tend to have memory failure randomly and early in their lives.
It would suck to have lots of important pictures and data on the card and it to stop working!
posted from a EPIC4G.
Those are fake. They will format as 32gb if you are lucky, but the instant you add more than 16gb or 8gb or whatever it actually is, the data will be "corrupted" or some other nonsense, since its not actually 32gb.
Do NOT get memory cards on ebay for all the reasons mentioned above. I have personal experience with some of these.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Unfortunately I consider all memory cards on ebay knockoffs. They Suck!! Suck bad!!! I consider myself a pretty enthusiastic photographer and purchase memory cards for my camera quite often and in the period of a year I bought 3 of them from ebay just to test and one got corrupted within a month, another just died as in couldn't be recognized at all, the third one worked and then one day i went to format it and it said format successfull only that I could never write to it again. It would always give me a write error, or the message on the camera would show up to change memory cards.
They are horrible horrible cards.
Compared to the ones I buy in newegg, even the cheaper brand ones from transcend worked flawlessly. I think once with transcend I push the card in really fast, and it gave me the change memory card error but the card still works once i took it out and put it back in carefully.
Sorry man, some things ebay is good for and other things its just not so please avoid.
it was removed off of ebay.
FWIW I've actually had good luck with the Microcenter branded micro sd's. I've used them in phones and cameras for the last couple of years and haven't been let down yet. I even have one in my Windows 7 lappy for that readyboost feature.

I'm in the Columbus store at least once a week to grab stuff for work and to go next door to Gallo's for lunch and they still don't have anything larger than 16. It took then a while before they carried the 16 so hopefully they will get a 32 in soon.

I can vouch for LEXAR. perfect at around 10MBPS for video files and ROM zips lol. Bought mine for 50
Thanks for the heads-up on this.
Been looking around for a while for a decent 32GB card and this seems to be the cheapest of it's kind. There are some cheaper ones around but a lower class of 6 or 4.

In for the updates.
I currently have a Patriot 32GB Class 10... It's awful. Likely the worst card on the market. I've had so many issues with it. It corrupts easily. It's happened a few times this year. Each time it did it I lost just about everything on the card. (Luckily I use TI Media Sync to back up my card to my FTP server.)
I don't use USB to mount the card as a drive that often. Usually I use Samba or something to wirelessly move files. But the times it has corrupted was when it was either sitting idle or I was watching a video.
I just ordered the ADATA 32GB Class 10 since it's got a lot of good reviews. But I'd like to see how you guys do with this card. I could always sell my ADATA card and buy this one if it turns out to be better.
EDIT:
Never mind. I canceled my order for the ADATA card and just ordered the US version of this one. I like Samsung products. Their SSDs are freaking amazing and their customer support has been really good so far. This one was only $2 more than the ADATA one so it wasn't worth the wasted time to try the ADATA first.

Been running ADATA 32G C10 card for quite a few months now . Not a single hiccup
ever ! Great card quality and highly recommended .
I am waiting for micro sd's to go on sale. Lexar 32gb one on amazon up to $66 ._.
Got the Samsung card today.
First off, it's the first and ONLY large capacity SD card I've put into my laptop that was recognized. My Laptop has recognized all cards 4GB and down, but it didn't recognize either of my 16GB or 32GB cards without asking to reformat them. I don't know why. I wasn't expecting my laptop to recognize this 32GB card. But it did. So that's a BIG plus.
Secondly, I'm using RoboCopy to move over all my stuff from my phone over USB to the new card in the SD slot. There's about 20GBs of crap to send over. Robocopy isn't telling me how fast it's going, but it's taking about 5 seconds to copy over 100 MB, so I put that at > 10MB/s easily. Probably a lot faster. I'll run crystal mark on it as soon as I get done copying my crap over and then I'll do an SD Speed test on my phone.
For the record I've never been able to get the Patriot 32GB card in my phone right now to write faster than 8MB/s (which I honestly believe is due to the phone's limitations, not the cards).
The only reason I'm changing cards at all is because the Patriot keeps corrupting. I've lost so much, thanks to the patriot SD. The one week I turned off Titanium Media Sync is the one week my SD card freaked out. LOL That'll teach me to turn off backup.
Anyway, I'll post up the results from both cards if I have time.

FYI, SanDisk's having a black Friday sale. the 32gb micro sdhc is $50 on their site. can't make out what class from the pic on my mobile.
I would have bought SanDisk if I could find a class 10 micro SD, but I couldn't find ANYONE who sold a SanDisk 32GB class 10.
I think that pretty much all 32GB Class 10 MicroSDs are garbage and SanDisk doesn't want to tarnish their name.
On the flip-side, I've found that the Samsung is just as fast on my Sensation as the Patriot, which is fine. I never had a problem with speed. Lets see how long this one lasts, though.

When buying a new Micro SD card, does brand really matter?

title says it all, i want to get a new micro SD card cuz i dont have enough space for my music on my 16GB so i wantex to know if brand really matters when buying micros cuz i can get a cheaper price on smaller name brands. so, opinions?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I would say it depends on where you buying them from. I would never buy a micro sd card from ebay or similar sites because they might say Samsung on them and you can get them from real cheap, You wouldn't know if they are REAL samsung micro sd cards.
I usually buy mine from newegg.com and they start at $10 for 16gb
I can't say what the difference is to the phone. I bought a 32GB PNY class 10 so I would be able to cut the time it takes to download from my computer to the card with a reader. I have a usb3 port and usb3 reader on my PC which is used mostly for photography. But when I transfer music and movies to my card for my phone it is faster by three fold.
The faster the card, really the better. If you get some random off brand, who knows where that card came from, and if the speed rating is even accurate. Some places house brands are pretty good though, I dunno who makes Microcenter's memory but they are very cheap and have yet to have a problem with them. However the real issue would be reliability. It's always a good idea to backup your card, but I rather have my data and photos on a name I can trust. 60 bucks for the PNY 32gb class 10 was a good deal for me.
On this particular phone, you can consider the SD card like your computer's hard drive. Would you really go get some off-brand from ebay for your PC to save a few dollars? I know I wouldn't. Not worth the headache of losing important data.
I understand faster cards works better. However, I never really notice any difference in speed in my class 4, class 6 or class 10 in Galaxy 4g. I do notice little different in my galaxy s2. I can see the difference when I run benchmarks but in my opinion the speed of card also depends on speed of your device.
i would love to get a PNY one, but ive bought three usb drives from them and all of them habe literally fallen apart...

I would agree with this. The name only is relevant if your buying from a unknown vendor. But if your going with newegg or some other online retailer other than some random ebay auction as long as it is the size you want I dont think it really matters.
The class of the sdcard is somewhat releveant depending on what you are doing with it. The typical android user will not notice that much of a increase of a class 10 over a class 4. But if your taking bunches of photos and videos or playing videos on your phone the class ten are going to perform "better".
Just to reiterate the name brand isnt as much of a issue if you are buying from a legit source. I bought a dane elctric one several years back and haven't had any problems other than the adapter went out. The card itself works flawlessly.
for short, i would buy a memory card with reasonable price and wouldn't easily break ;-)

When I was looking for a new sd card I found this article to be extremely helpful. It even has some different name brands for comparison as well as links to more information about different classes and user reviews.

My PNY 32GB class 10 speed.
Sequential
21.59MB/s read - 11.55MB/s write
This is using a 50MB file.
I would like to test the 4k transfers, but in order to test with a file size less than 50MB I would have to wipe the card. I'll do it just not any time real soon.

It really depends on how exactly you are using your sd card. I know in the OP you said you have a lot of music. Do you typically clear all of your music and transfer all new stuff to the phone?
I have been using a sandisk class 6 for quite some time now and I absolutely love it. It is perfect for my needs. But I do not do a lot of heavy music on my sd card. I have read that even the class 10 Lexar sd cards have terrible random speeds, so I would definitely avoid them at all costs.

This site has a really good deal on a class 4 32gb for today only. I order from them quite a bit. The only issue I ever have is sometimes it takes a while to be delivered.
avoid amazon? or..
if I order from amazon, should I be wary of the brand name? like, have some of you bought via amazon what appeared to be a kingston or whatever known brand, only to find it probably is not?
I read the advice about watching the source carefully....
I have not ever had that issue with amazon before. I guess that it is possible but very unlikely in my opinion.
Its not like ebay where i would never trust that it is legitimate. I have ordered quite a bit from amazon without a single hitch or mistake.
Always be wary of ordering online though... because it can happen.

As long as it is from amazon and not a store. But again amazon is better about policing its stores than ebay is. I have bought from amazon many times and not once had a problem with getting a different product then what I ordered.
that's comforting. so I shall order the sandisk 32gb microsd from them. not bad for 25 bucks I guess. I hear it works fine in the Galaxy s 4G.

128GB Micro SD Memory Card real or fake.

I found out about two weeks ago there was a 128 gb micro sd out, and it was going for $200, but if you pre ordered it with Amazon you only paid $119.00, but you had to wait 4-6 weeks for it to be sent to you. I didn't have the extra funds in my account to get this.
So i said to myself i'll wait, and get it when i have to extra cash to spend. Now that i have it, Amazon is no longer selling it at that price.

Here are my rules with buying flash:
1) "never buy flash sd or micro sd from online retailer. Period!
2) only buy flash sd or micro sd from a store with an excellent return policy such as bestbuy or futureshop.
Yes you'll pay premium dollar but the reality is there are fake memory cards everywhere and the retalers don't even know they are selling it and if they don't even know they are selling it, good luck proving it!
Also 69 is way too good to be true! you need at least clash 10 on android and and heck Sandisk is the only memory card manufacturer that has proven their use on android, if it not Sandisk, forget about it!
I hate fake memory cards, worst thing about them is how much time you invest in trying to fix them! You spend the first week in denial that you could possibly been sold a fake memory card and spend all this time formatting and re-formatting them with different applications and operating systems, try different roms, different kernel combinations, posting help because your rom is acting buggy, lose data? and all the while reason for all your woes has been due to using a fake memory card.
Very probably fake, i was buying mine twp months ago and the one with the largest storage was 64 gb. More than enough for 99% of uses.
That wouldn't even work for our phone. You going to use it on the Find 7 or something?

I got mine from Amazon for the $119 price a couple of weeks ago. I formatted it to Fat32 with 8k clusters...no issues at all. Card is detected at proper size and is detected in custom recovery fine also.

I found out about two weeks ago there was a 128 gb micro sd out, and it was going for $200, but if you pre ordered it with Amazon you only paid $119.00, but you had to wait 4-6 weeks for it to be sent to you. I didn't have the extra funds in my account to get this.

Works just fine, as has been shown numerous times. At the moment the specsheet for the S4 was made there were no 128GB cards.
So I assume you just looked at the specs to get that (wrong) assumption?

128GB SD cards will work with our phones with a SD to MicroSD adapter. i use one now.
in fact it will go up to 256GB
NOTE must be formatted to Fat32 to best compatability, also depending on your kernel.
Sandisk are making some (soon) though?
The 128GB card works on the S4, even though I have mine in my Note 3.

I believe he was talking about the Samsung from Newegg. This is definitely fake. As said before, anything above 32GB is SDXC, not SDHC like in the picture. Also Samsung has not yet releases 128GB. Also, look at the picture. "12" is of a different font /size than "8". The reviews for the seller "Redtagonline" has 2 stars out of 5. Just preorder from Amazon. Make sure you format it as either Fat32, or eXFat if your Kernel supports exFat

Have you actually copied files/data to it to fill it to its advertised capacity?
Sent from my rooted GS4 running GoldenEye 26 while holding a homebrew.
Man, Amazon still advertising @ $119 but been out of stock forever.
I have the Sandisk 128gb from Amazon in my S4, it works great without problem.
The micro sd to SD card adapter that comes with the micro SD did not work with either PC or Mac, so I had to plug my card into my card reader instead, which worked fine.

What is your 128gb micro sd card choice?

Hello guys, I guess we don't have this discussion here yet. So one of the reasons that m9 kicks ass is having an sd card slot. But which brand is the best, most reliable and fast? What is your 128gb choice?
I honestly was gonna go for sandisk but I read some worrying reviews on amazon as they sent some people fake sandisk microsd cards and they sucked. That's another thing, where can we buy those online, the safest place?

I'm very surprised to hear that SanDisk would send out fakes and risk their reputation. This must be Amazon or a 3rd party doing this.
Samsung have always been great at making memory chips so I see no reason why their memory cards wouldn't be top standard.

This is one I bought. It has the highest write speed of any of the cards I could find online and I can confirm that it works flawlessly. I've been shooting 4K video on it and it has the proper read/write speeds to manage that efficiently. I checked the reviews prior to purchase and they're extremely positive; among the highest of all of the choices on amazon believe it or not.
I use 64gb extreme pro from SanDisk.

Yeah, I got it because of the high speed and to make the best use of the faster SD card reader on the M9.

Are you sure Amazon is the seller not the shipper? I mean I could sell things there but Amazon does the shipping.

Thank you for the answer, I have a question, since I am coming from very limited memory 16gb htc one s, for the last 2 years I suffered so much about storage on my phone and I swore that I would get the biggest storage available on my next phone, but I am not planning to record 4k videos or store hd movies. tons of photos, I just want to be able to update my apps, download apps. take photos every once in a while without seeing a low storage message
so my question is would 64 gb micro sd card be enough for me definetely or should I just go for 128 gb?
Thank you in advance!

One review stated seller was GTDTech.
You can choose other seller who sells cheaper than Amazon. I don't think Amazon sells the fake ones. Other sellers who use Amazon prime shipping probably do this. Not all of them but yeah, it happens.

Nah, I think that 64GB is probably more than enough to cover you for quite a while. The only reason I personally got the 128 is because 64 was cutting it close for me to be able to store my 36GB of music, my 10GB of photos, nandroid backups, and have room to shoot some 4K. If you're not doing any of this, 64 is a lot of storage and it'll take you ages to fill it. Save yourself $80 and grab one of the 64 cards on a sale via amazon. I've seen Samsung, PNY, and Sandisk all get down under $30 for the 64gb cards. All class 10.

Hey guys,
Just ordered my 128GB Ultra Micro SD MicroSDXC 48MB/s Class 10 UHS-I and waiting to receive it
I always use http://www.memorybits.co.uk for memory cards - they are the cheapest I have found (been using them for years) considering the products are always genuine and reliable.
If you're not from the UK, they have a list of partner sites on the left-hand side - essentially the same site for other countries; I suppose they have warehouses in different countries that they ship from.
Personally, I would never buy memory from eBay or Amazon again - I have fallen for cheap cards in the past. There are just too many fakes around and it's not worth the risk. Even if you get the storage capacity you expect, the chances of a "too-good-to-be-true" kind of deal on a high capacity card lasting more than a day before corrupting all your data are pretty slim
Also, standard delivery is free, they accept PayPal and they have branched out over the years and do a fair bit more than just memory cards
I promise I'm not affiliated in anyway Although I should be on commission :good:
128GB Samsung Evo+ the best and fastest micro sd you can get with transferrates up to 80MB/s. It is also waterproof, shatterproof and safe against radioactivity.
