Hi,
I have made skins for Vox.
Tested on 1.34 ROM, skins includes :
- homescreen with basic plugins (portrait/landscape)
- images for MSCbranding/MSCdial/CallProg/MissedCalls/CallAlert (registry modify)
- image for SmartToolkit's lockscreen

[Q] is the truecaller app collecting phonebook data?

Hello guys..this is my first post on xda..sorry if i violate any rules
Well my question is, the truecaller app says it collects phonebook data from smartphone users for their database, but it doesn't collects data from android users
But it's kinda hard to believe that it has collected millions of contacts from India just from iPhone, BlackBerry and Nokia smartphones..almost every contact or phone number i search for has got its details on truecaller`s database
The official site says that it doesn't collects android`s data but the app requests permission for reading contacts

Hi,
I can ensure you that Truecaller does not collect any personal information from your phone book on your Android phone. The reason why we don´t crowd-source on Android is simply because it´s not allowed by Google.

This was my concern as well. It seems that the previous version of the app (years 2010-2011) had some problems and was pulled from the market. Now, after 1 year, i noticed that the app is again available from the official play store, with this note:
Important information:
Truecaller users on the Android platform downloaded from Google Play will until further notice NOT be able to contribute to the Truecaller directory, but will nevertheless experience the same level of service as if they had. In other words, Truecaller will NOT collect any information from your phone book.

It's nice to hear that from an official developer behind the TrueCaller app. May i ask you a couple of questions? I am a bit concerned because the application requires a couple of authorizations the application requires:
1) Servizi che prevedono un costo

Hey, a "try for free" button appears when adding a rule after at least one message has been answered automatically

Version 1.0.5 Error in Dialogflow
After I updated this application to version 1.0.5, I received the 'Dialogflow Error' error. And now, I downgrade to version 1.0.4, this error doesn't happen.

Hey, I have fixed this error in version 1.0.7.
Google changed something in one of their libraries which broke the Dialogflow feature.
It's back to normal again

Hey, please check the "doesn't work" button at the top right corner of the app and try to restart your device.
On some devices (like Xiaomi or Huawei) it's important to add the app to the ignored list of the device's battery saver in case the app stops working occasionally. And for Xiaomi it might also be important to enable "Autostart" there.
To enable AutoResponder for Marketplace, you need to enable the option within your rule.
