Used Minimal ADB and fast boot
ROM: Custom ROM (Xenon HD)
So i was running a custom rom on my xperia M but due to a bug i flashed a new ROM (Glade ROM) thru CMW.The ROM installed without any error but kept restarting on booting so i entered the recovery mode to see a dead android with a red caution sign
I tried to flash thru minimal adb and fastboot but its says wirting failed....Need Help please

I had flashed [DEVDB][TWRP][PhilZ Touch][CWM] XZDualRecovery 2.7.1XX RC on my Xperia Z running stock android 4.4.4 rooted and bootloader unlocked. The I used TWRP to flash PACMAN ROM. And XZDualRecovery got replaced by another recovery. After flashing the CArbon ROM, the recovery doesn't open. I get the blue led on boot, i press up or down button the colour changes. The it gets stuck in a black screen. I waited for a few mins and force restarted the phone. Everything works normal, but it has no recovery. Can I flash the XZDualRecovery in dual boot mode to replace the current recovery and get it working again???...

Tried to flash boot.img of XZDualRecovery using cmd... Failed.. Device ok. Boot normal
Tried to flash using flashtool in bootmode.. Dunno what happened. DEVICE DOESN'T BOOT ANYMORE. STUCK IN A BLACK SCREEN AFTER SONY LOGO
After SONY logo i get the leds for entering recovery I press vol up or down led changer.. Stuck at black screen..
I tried unlocking bootloader.. Success..
NO change in device.
Then tried to flash 4.4.2 ftf i had, flash aborted within a second... Error with loader.sin...
HELP... PLEASE..
tried Flashing again.. it worked....

Still have a problem. Can't update.. Tried once using update center...Says can't install update after reboot.
Can anyone please tell me where I went wrong... Does flashing using cwm also changes the recovery...?? Is something wrong with the carbon rom?

I don't have your device and haven't flashed those roms yet.
So you have to ask in your device's forum to get the right answers.

To Root the device you can first flash any custom recovery to your likings...!
Like CwM,Twrp,philz etc.
Flashing can be done via SP Flash tool or Fastboot mode but make sure the drivers are properly installed,if not then check in general forum.
Then,download su.zip and flash to root ur device.
For kitkat,you need to have stock partition layout or an extended one as kitkat.vold.fstab doesn't recognize the Internal SD card.
You need to have latest CWM ,Philz or TWRP with SE Linux support or just use one i.e mentioned in the kitkat rom thread.
Always proceed with a backup.

I am using TWRP v2.7.0.0 to install ROM, but getting error: "Error flashing zip(path),Updating partition details". I have tried with different ROMS, getting the same error. I think there is a problem with this version so want to change and use an upgraded one. I have already formatted my phone so cannot use any app to change the version of TWRP or install a different recovery. Can somebody guide me to install a different version of TWRP. Thanks in advance!

i have htc one m7 and i am tring to root it .i did all the process of rooting from XDA fourms mean first unblock bootloader then flash custom recovery then i copy the supersu zip in the phone memory now tring to run the zip but i cant go to recover i can only go to boolloader mood when i click recovery i say entering recovery ...................... and i am waiting for hours but no response .plz any one can help

this is my first post on xda forum, i tryed to install twrp on my j5...odin saied ok!!
but when i try to start in recovery, start stock recovery and not twrp and also now when i try to open recovery mode before is screening upgrade installation and after a few second "no comand" and then enter in recovery....why???
