Try to replace your USB cable, 99% of the cases he's the culprit.
Its only 850ma output. It's just a sh1t charger

I think any micro usb cable will work
And for a charger anything that output over 1A / 1000mA but ideally around 1.2A / 1200mA

I recently bought the official s4 qi charger using the 50% off code. I forgot to purchase the required 2 AMP charger to power it (I didn't notice that wasn't included in the package). Since I don't have an S4 (I'm going to use the charger for my Nexus 7 FHD and my S3) I'm trying to find a 2AMP charging block/cord that I can trust.
I hate to start a new thread about this, but I searched all over Amazon and XDA and the best solution I could come up with is this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...PWYPY7NWWHH&coliid=I321ZTUWIDWWO3&me=&seller=
I'm confident this one would work, but it's cord is connected to the brick and it's black and not white. I would prefer to have a separate brick so I could use a white cord to match the white s4 qi charger on my desk.
There are MANY solutions out there but each one I've found has mixed reviews when it comes to Android products and some even mention catching on fire! I hate to go the non-OEM route... but signing up for another account on Samsung's site and paying shipping and tax again will bring my total close to $28 dollars. At that point I might as well return the charger and just eat the shipping cost to return it.
TL;DR: Does anyone use a non-OEM charger that was under $25 with their S4 qi charger and can verify it doesn't catch on fire???
Thanks!
Currently using Monoprice 4 port wall charger ($7.80) to handle the charging of several peripherals at once. Note that only one port is rated at 2.1A/iPad compatible, whereas the other three are regular 1A USB ports.
Same deal but with two 2.1A ports and two 1A ports: $15.25.
Just one 2A port: $5.56.
Monoprice FTW
Some are on backorder.

Hmm then i suggest get the original charger with cable, coz i have seen if i use any other cable s4 charges pretty low around 900ma if original cable then 2A definitely because its takes lot of time otherwise.

If you order from amazon make sure to change the seller to a reputable dealer. I got one from seller1on1. The cable was shorter but the current was the same as the oem one

I've had great results with the rocketfish charger. under $5 at amazon.
Don't forget that our S4's have the 11 pin micro usb connector. I used an older 5 pin one and wondered why my 2amp charger took forever to charge my phone, rather than the 1.5 hours it normally takes to fully charge.
The extra pins are only for MHL.
The stock charger has 4 visible pins.
What's the side effect of using 2A output powerbank on the cellphone ?
From my experience, the output of cellphone adaptor usually between 500mAh-1Ah. Well, except phone with bigger screen (which i don't have).
What i notice is, the back of the phone are usually hotter compare if i charge my phone using phone adaptor or via usb.
I am kinda worry with this excess heat. Heat is not good for electric components.

What about a phone that's designed for 750mAh and it's being charge with 1.2A powerbank ? Since the common minimum powerbank output are 1.2A.
Even that would be harmful there are 500mA powerbanks available which would be ok

I want a charger with longer wire than the one which comes in retail box. I was going through this Nokia AC-20 charger. Can someone tell me if that will be advisable to use with N5? The output of that charger is 750mAh, so I guess it will take some more time to charge which is fine with me. Should I go for it? Is there anyone who uses the AC-20 charger?

Personally I would go with wireless charger. I have the Google charger at my work desk and a different one at home I use as my nighttime dock.
Problem is that these chargers are not much available in India, moreover the prices are too high.

I don't use car chargers as I don't think they are safe! A simple crank of your engine causes the voltage to go up a lot... Even though the branded ones are totally safe, I prefer not to use them..
However, here is one which I'm eagerly waiting for... http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-air-dock
Why don't you just buy a longer 6ft+ USB cable and attach it to the charger?
The plugin part of the charger is the important part. The port is a standard microUSB cable so you can use whatever cable you want.

Look for Blackberry chargers. I picked up a set of 2 on ebay for $5 w/free shipping. They have 6' cords and charge extremely fast. As fast as my N7 adapter I use at home. I keep one in my pack for school and one at work. (i know you need european but i'm sure they have those too, just note BB has quality accessories)

Although the Huawei P9 lite can receive two amps and 10 watts of power from a charger, Huawei includes only a one amp and five watt power supply with the P9 lite, which results in rather slow loading times.

This is what I keep seeing in the log: https://github.com/Meticulus/androi...rivers/power/hisi/coul/hisi_coul_core.c#L2634
What I am seeing and measuring is that mine, the 3GB dual sim model, max current draw is 1.08 Amp.
This is the max the device will charge at no matter what if you connect a quick charge ... even a nuclear powerplant that can provide a billion Amps at 5V as long as the kernel or charging circuit is like now. A bit painful but I find the battery life to be good. Good enough so it won't be a deal breaker.
I've had phones that died while using the GPS in the car and on a charger, this one doesn't if you use a quality charger and cable.
