[Completed] [Q] Sound Won't work on my s4 running cm 11 - XDA Assist

So I flashed cm 11 universal on my sph-l720t s4 and for some reason the sound wouldnt work at all, so I looked up my problem and found a suggestion to replace dsp manager with viper4android so I did using this link as a guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/15e7xv8AADnl0Ckqg8NiuQMTPLSgkIZCS4hU4Q07H7i4/mobilebasic?pli=1. But now I still have the same problem and whenever I try to play anything with sound everything on my phone freezes and I have to either restart my device or force close the app. I flashed cm 11 many times on this device using the exact same method I used this time, wipe everything using twrp flashing cm11 and gapps then wiping dalvik and cache again then rebooting into the ROM, and every time it has worked perfectly so I have no idea what is wrong. Can someone please help me?

Hi there,
You'd be best served asking for help from the experts who own your device, here:

[Completed] Facebook messenger crashing

Hey guys, Samsung i9100 running CM since version 9 on this thing never had a issue now running 12, worked flawlessly until yesterday afternoon, the only problem I get is that Facebook messenger crashes randomly after 30 seconds of use... Happens faster if I stay idle on the recent convo list !
I've updated CM12 02/22 to 03/19 last night and got latest gapps. Still no luck, I had also previously wiped and reset factory data.. Anyone know a solution to this?
Thanks ahead
Mat
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think it'd be best to ask your question in the q&a thread for that ROM here:

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! It would be a good idea to register and post your question in the thread of the rom you downloaded. First read the threads to make sure the question has not already been asked. If not, then post either here: [ROM][4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 20150810 [FULLY WORKING] or here: [ROM][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 [stable: 20150829], depending on which rom you are trying to flash.
Good luck!

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S2 AOSP Keyboard not working

Dear All,
Sorry to ask some really basic questions. I am new to rooting and flashing. I have successfully rooted and flashed CM10 to a Galaxy tab2 and then recently decided to root by S2 which I no longer needed on a day to day basis.
I successfully rooted it and then flashed the stable version of CM10.1 to it, then.... got to clever for my own good and flashed a CM12.1 nightly to it and without checking the GAPP package that I had already downloaded....the wrong one!
I am now getting constant error messages when I boot it up saying that AOSP Android keyboard not working and to compound the problem when I flashed CM12.1 it installed Cyanogen Recovery which does not have an option to wipe the Dalvik Cache which I think is what is wrong.
Please be so kind as to point me to any threads that may help as I have searched in vain.
Many thanks
Doug
Hi
Here is a Gapps thread for CM12.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tk-gapps-t3116347
You have to do a clean flash of CM12.1. Do you have the i9100 model?

Hi,
All you need to do is download and flash the appropriate gapps for the android version you are currently running. And you should be good.
If you need further help though, you can ask in this dedicated help thread in your device section,

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Removing the safety locks will be a bad idea, and sounds like it misses the point.
A couple of options for threads to post to (once you have an XDA account):
> Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 > Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A][SGS2][Newbies][Experienced Users][RCs] New members friendly Q&A thread
> Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 > Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] CWM Error Status 6
Could just be the format the updater script is in (was last saved by a windows program, needs the UNIX line breaks well, returned).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
