did lenovo tab2 a7-10 support ext4 file system??? - General Questions and Answers

i try to copy 4GB file into lenovo a7-10 but i found that it's does not support exfat (as i used on my G3)

I formated second partition on sd card using EXT2. When I installed link2sd pro, I selected the use of secnd partition as ext2 and saw info about problem. Whe I selected EXT4 , it works good all time to today.
Is it EXT4 over EXT2 ? Or EXT2 was reformated to EXT4 in the background , I do not know.

formating external SD in ext4 ?

Hi !
I just installed the Lag Fix in my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000B and looks like it is fine.
As far I understand, the lag fix patch formats the internal SD as ext4 to have more stability and speedy.
So I am wondering if the external SD card would have similar benefits if I format it as ext4 too.
I don't have a spare external SD to check it my myself, so if anyone could provide any information, would be nice.
late but
Hi
I have an external sd card and i want to have a second partition in ext4, to put somme date on it (larges files)
i read and test since 15 days and what i can said is
you need to have a first partition (primary in fat32 on the sd card)
the second partition in ext4 is not seen by android os !!! I mean, there is no way to mount automaically these partition at boot and use it.
I have found a old lagfix from mimocan which mount external ext4 , but it is to store applications as we do in sdcard. I do believe we can use for data but it is old now we have kernel and rom with ext4 in native mode and i don't find how use ext4 on external card for data instead of program (with link2sd for exemple)
link2sd or app2sd only works with internal sd card !
regards

hi
looks like you want to do the same thing than me but ... as i learn at this time, there is no way to use ext4 partition on external sd card, just with some tools on internal sdcard.
android doesn't have script and code to mount under /mnt ext4 partitons just FAT32 !!!!!!!! great

[Q] Enabling and using EXT and Swap

There are instructions and info how to format or mount the Ext2, but not on how should we make the best use of swap and ext2 ?
Automaticaly settled when mounted or? How to mount swap?
I've replaced my sd with a 16GB one, formated in cwm (1024 ext2, 256 swap and rest is fat32), then copied ALL content from old card to new FAT32.
I later used Link2sd to mount the ext2, and checked future "automatic linking" in settings.
What's the next step?
Do I need to flash the rom from scratch to fully use them?
Thx

Recovery problem/doubt

I am using PhilZ Touch 5 Recovery
and 16gb class 10 memory card.
I created a 4 gb ext4 partition using minitool partition wizard and flashed a rom.
Working fine.
But again when i inserted my memory card in card reader and plugged in to my system , it is showing ext3 in minitool partition..
ext4 changed to ext3 automatically !!
Why did this happened??
Should i change my recovery to make it remain ext4 ??
Need help

Change sdcard default filesystem

So I bought a new Samsung sdcard. The sdcard automatically formats into f2fs if I try to use it as adoptable(Internal) storage. I don't have any problem with f2fs bit seems like my device or ROM doesn't support it (Random reboots and bootloops). I used the sdcard as portable as fat and ext4 and there Werner any issue. I previously had another sdcard which would convert into ext4 while using as internal and it didn't have any problems.
So can I change the sdcard's default file system so that it would convert into ext4 instead of f2fs if used as internal ? Any help is appreciated.
