[Q] LT28h clone problem

Hello, I bought this phone (LT28h 4.5" Android 4.1.1 Dual Core MTK6577 1.0GHZ 3G Smartphone with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Capacitive Touch - google for specs) and except for one problem it's worked fine. It has a 4.1.1 or 4.0.4 android installed. It had a chinese Google play store 2.0.0 installed but I can't read chinese. So I tried to access google play store anddownload apps but I get an error. I also rooted the device using bin4ary_v17. After that I downloaded latest english Google play store. When I install it and try to download an app I get "error RPC:S-5:AEC-0" and nothing happens. After using it for a while I get an error "Unfortunately google play store has stopped". I tried all fixes on internet and nothing works. Can you help me do something, so that I can download apps from google store (english)?
The second question is if there is an option to install a custom ROM (for instance Cyanogenmod) on this device?

Finally. I found a fix for this problem.
I downloaded root explorer, then copied the file
"Vending.apk" (Goolgle market) - not really matter
what version to /system/app (You need to press
the "mount RW" before).
Then changed the permissions on that file (Read to
All and Write to Owner alone).
Once this was done you MUST reboot and after the
reboot it will be working great.
Now, even after erasing the phone to default, the
google play will be there!

I bought Huawei G520 from China and it wont allow Google apps on it
Thought I had rooted it but I dont think it worked, dunno how to find out either

you can install another rom like cyanogenmod or you can solve your problem with rooting

I discovered the bootloader is locked which means I cant flash anything
Only thing I can install are those complete roms from SD card called INSTALL which you install with 3 button (Power + UP + Down)
What do they call those type of roms?

Hi, I too had a chinese smartphone which doesn't work with google apps. But somehow I found manual ways of solving this issue in some other thread here in this forum [sorry couldn't paste thread link, forgot thread's title ]
First your phone should be rooted. If done so, Google and download this files.
1. Root Explorer
2. googleloginservice.apk
3. googleservicesframework.apk
4. Google Playstore app (preferably latest version)
Install only Root explorer and just save the other files (2,3 & 4) on your sdcard. Open root explorer and copy those three files that you saved on your sdcard and paste them in /system/apps folder. After that Reboot phone and your google play should be working now.

[Q] Installing Google Play on China tablets

Hi , recently I have obtained a few tablets made by HP but imported from China , I have gone through the process of rooting them but I cant seem to be able to connect to google play store . I have installed google play services and tried installing other google related framework and applications but it says no connection or server error.
I have googled and troubleshooted but I cant seem to get it to connect to google servers , no matter what I do the wifi icon stays grey.
Any help or enlightenment on this issue will be greatly appreciated.Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your help , im managed to figure it out but heres the procedure in case people in the future want to know :
1) Root device (I used kingo root for compatibility sake)
2) Download google playstore,loginservice,serviceframework apk(should suffice)
3) Install root explorer
4) Move apk file to system/apps

Root method for Galacy Beam 2 (SM-G3858)?

Is anyone out there aware of a way to root a Galaxy Beam 2 (SM-G3838)?
I recently purchased an ulocked device. It did not come with Play Store installed, and I can not seem to get it to work by installing the APK file.
The phone would be a great help at work if I could fully convert it to an American Phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Search youtube for "Allabouthegalaxybeam" - he's done a tutorial on how to root + playstore / google services and it worked well for me.

Update - I just found a method that works better than the Allabouthegalaxybeam youtube tutorial.. unfortunately I can't post links yet, but do the following:
1) Root your phone using the above tutorial.. but stop after rooting.
2) Use ODIN to flash CWM 6.0.5.0 - there is a tutorial online that you can use.
3) Install ADB on your PC and ADB Sideload one of the CM Jellybean GAPPS packages.
4) Sign in to your google account and update all your google stuff via playstore.
This will give you full google play services and framework + playstore + all google apps via play store, and you don't need to go through any strange 3rd party app stores or do any root explorer file copies. This is the most stable / secure way of getting Google on to the beam 2.

Penta WS1001Q FIRMWARE upgrade problem

Hello there, I have recently got a tablet : ws1001q penta and I am unable to perform a firmware upgrade.
I can not use youtube, google chrome or facebook application on it.
I have downloaded the firmware from the website of penta but I can not find any proper instruction on how to put it.

Hello You don't need to reflash to unblock the tablet.
Since you already have root access on the tablet, you would want to first download a launcher from Google play.
Then download root explorer. If you know how android works. You can unblock the tablet using root explorer by deleting certain apks.

I have the same problem as sexy killer. I think Vii Vek would help a lot by giving details.E.g why download a launcher (I have already installed Smart Launcher pro and it works OK). I also installed OI file manager and ES file manager in order to access root. And then Vii Vek could gently explain to us newbies by mentioning which apks to delete and where to find them exactly. Many anticipated thanks to Vii Vek.
