I have a bit of a situation that I am looking for help on.
I have a Nexus 7 and Nexus 6. I have the Nexus 7 mounted in my car and, I keep my Nexus 6 in my pocket.
I currently have the Nexus 6 synced via bluetooth to my car for phone calls, Pandora, etc. and have the wifi-hotspot turned on to allow for Maps to work on my Nexus 7.
What I would like to do is have everything go through the Nexus 7 (Phone calls, Pandora, everything).
Where my limitation seems to lie is the ability to send and receive calls through the Nexus 7. The reason is that I would like to be able to play video/music from the tablet and have it heard through the car speakers but I don't want to lose the ability to make and receive calls through said speakers. Is there a way to do this? Unfortunately, my car's bluetooth does not have the ability to simultaneously connect to two devices.
I do not want to use Google Voice, so that is out.
One thought (that I haven't been able to get to work yet) is that I can connect the Nexus 7 to the 6 via bluetooth and use the phone as an audio passthrough to the car.
I am lost for options. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I was a day away from buying this incredible phone and suddenly realized that it doesn't support dlna(so no streaming from other devices wirelessly)....this is a major setback as the beauty of any android is dlna as I have 6 devices which all go well with each other and if this my phone which is important of all refuses to not talk with my other devices then its basically dumb
So I want to know if there is any app which will work like dlna(client and host)
Also why did moto didn't this basic functionality???(you don't have to answer this)

DLNA works perfectly fine. You can use this if you want to use your phone as a server or this if you just want to play the contents off of another server.
Hey there the Oh so wonderful XDA community. I recently purchased the Alcatel Idol 3 and Watch combo off of Amazon for my father as a replacement for his Note 2 and so far he has been loving it.. Except for one issue.
As the title says he's having some slight Bluetooth issues and is only able to connect to the watch itself and other phones. He generally used his phone to connect to his truck and as well as his Bose speakers but the Idol 3 is unable to do so. Any idea as to how to fix this issue or if it's a widespread thing?

I am experiencing problems with Sony Ericsson MW600 and Plantronics Explorer 50. I am unable to perform a call through BT even if I select it on the call screen. The only way is to reboot phone while device is still connected. After then everything works fine.

Can we use one mobile phone to act as a keyboard for another mobile phone? Can connect wirelessly through anything Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc??
I have a spare Nexus 5 phone and want to use it as an external keyboard(not using any hardware such as wireless keyboard as my friends did) for my Nexus 6P.

When I try to cast movies on by big screen from netflix it just plays the audio but video just plays on the ZmaxPro. Yet I can watch youtube videos with casting no problem. When I use hotspot it disconnects repeatedly and have to constantly restart the device. I contacted ZTE and MetroPCS they could not offer any help at all. Netflix said the reason why is that the video speed they use does not match the device. I was expecting better performance since it is newer & specs are supposed to be better than a Note 2. BTW my wife still has a Note 2 & she still has no issues.
What I guess I'm looking at is a custom ROM but what I've seen so far are the flashy bells & whistles to choose from. Just need something simple with steps to take so that I can get rid of the junk I never use & overclock it so the frikin phone works right. Thanks in advance for the help!

About 2 weeks ago a buddy of mine knew I was in the market for a new phone. He let me borrow his ZTE Axon 7 phone just to try it out. It's fast and all but I'm running into some issues that I never have with my other phone (Nexus 5X).
I'm just wondering if anybody else is having these issues as well?
Problems I've experienced:
Calls will drop in and out
Could not send attachments via SMS
Couldn't connect to my VPN at home
Couldn't write to a Windows SMB file share on a Windows 2012 R2 Domain Controller (I'm having the same issue with my Nexus 5X, so disregard this one)
These are all things I could do with my Nexus 5X and iPhone 7. Like I said the phone is very fast and the camera is great, but these other issues have to get resolved before I would buy one of these phones. I know it's not an android thing because my Nexus 5X worked just fine.
