How can I access the mobile friendly version of this forum? Thanks
Use the XDA app or change your theme to the 2015 version. That option should appear in the lower left hand corner.
The app works great and it even sends you notifications about topics or threads you subscribed to!

Why is it also so limited compared to the site? I understand that feature parity can't always exist between app and dedicated message board but man oh man does the xda app really limit the xda experience.
Per a dev's suggestion, I fiddled with some settings in developer options in the Android settings menu to display app performance, screen update etc and the app is severely poorly optimized.
My limited understanding is that the Tapatalk framework itself is **** but since xda is a licensee, could they modify the app further to make it better?
If this is in wrong section, sorry.

Your xda-developers app for android is terrible. The search function mostly. Make it so we can search device forums, not just what seems to be random topics. Why does that back button at the top left close the app aswell? Pull your finger out, your home of the developers.

Hello,
I've been looking everywhere so I decided to ask here.. Is there any way to get push notifications for just one chosen Facebook page about their updates (statuses, photos,..)? Something like twitter has build in in its official app.
Thanks

Have you tried asking Facebook support?
Nope, based on 'support' I got from there earlier.. I mean, it probably isn't possible in the vanilla app but I wonder if there is someone with similar issue maybe solved by external app..

So everyone complained about the limitations of the dot view case, things like music player controls, color controls, etc. Now thanks to Mohammad Abu-Garbeyyeh you can mod all of that in his app: Its worth the payment ! You should read the description first before you buy it !!! All props to the maker of this wonderful app ?

Thread closed,
That app was removed from XDA as XDA rules state to host an app on XDA you must have a version that is free for XDA users to download that is similar to the paid app. It was determined that the free version of the app was not useable enough for XDA members to download.
Many thanks,
Ghost
For the past week or so when I open the app I get redirected to the google store. I have to close the store and reopen XDA app. Anyone else experienced this?

This has been happening to me as well.. only it will not only open the store but also my browser and then i have to hit the back button like 5 times to get back to where i can open xda again.. then half the time it does it again.
I decided that to get rid of the ads i would just get the premium versio . So what.. it was only a $1.50... come to find out the premium version is nothi g like the free version. I get some extra widgets to put on the home screen but i cant even change the notification sound..
I just wanted the free app without being redirected 5 different places due to ads.. ?
Thanks for your response, not a good thing but at least I'm not the only one. Maybe I'll go back to using the browser instead of the app. It just happened again, first it open my browser then went to play store. Closed play store and opened app, then it worked.

I too have noticed this happening over just the past few days.
It is super annoying but it's nice to know I'm not the only one having the problems.

Yeah, this not only happens with the xda app but with a lot of websites too. It's getting very old.

I have also been having this issue. Does anyone know whether this is intentional behavior or perhaps some setting I unwittingly made?

It's nothing you've done. I'm uninstalling this app and leaving negative feedback. It used to be a good app, and I've used it for a few years now, but I'm done with the redirections.
