ACTUALLY PLEASE GUIDE ME WHAT TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL ON PC I am super noob at androiding:crying:..... AND DO I NEED A CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED.. cause if i need then i dont have....
also how to use terminal emulator app method??? does it require root??

Get the ab tools from here and install them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Moreover you can search on the internet how to use adb tools.
Or download the Terminal Emulator apk from PlayStore, open it and enter "reboot"...
You don't need a custom recovery for that.

Actually if you want to reboot your phone via temrnal emulator your phone must be rooted. You can't run reboot command without su permissions.

I give up. Click on the recovery howto in my signature and flash custom recovery. After that, flash a rooted ROM. If you dislike this advice, then kindly search harder. People generally get irritated when then are answering the same questions 10 times a day because people are too lazy.
superoneclick (gingerbreak exploit) work for me on stock V20c, check this thread:

Hi guys, regarding the problem about rooting the original GB, it can be done, and it's not that complicated.
First of all there are a couple of things that you have to consider before starting to root.
1. Be sure that you have installed the original V20G GB ROM.
2. if you have it installed and tried different methods to root on it do a factory reset before trying this one.
3. Be absolutely sure that you have all the drives installed when working with the phone in USB debugging mode, if not install them.
4. Download SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse, after download extract the files into a folder with the same name as the archive.
5. After you extracted the files, go to C:\Windows\System32 and copy the cmd.exe to the folder where you extracted the files, in my case C:\Users\myuser\Desktop\SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse\ADB.
6. Connect the phone to the PC with Debugging mode (Enter the phone settings menu, to the Development and tick the USB debugging mode)
7. right click on cmd.exe from the ADB folder, Run as administrator, than write:
adb devices (after this command you should see your device id)
adb shell
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf,
Do not close the window, live it like that.
8. Start SuperOneClick.exe, leave the settings to the SuperOneClick as they are when it opens, click on ROOT and wait, it will say Starting ADB server..., than it will do it's job and than it will appear Waiting for device... it will say ok and that if it freezes while running psneuter do the following:
a. Turn USB Debugging OFF wait until it will appear in the window again Starting ADB server..., after that,
b. Turn USB Debugging ON, and after this trick it will start rooting.
This is the method that i did twice and it worked like a charm.
After this it will ask you to reboot the phone, DO NOT FORGET, and after the reboot click on the SuperUser icon in the phone's menu. it will aks you if you allow or deny it's access. click allow. After this you must connect to the internet via Wireless or a apn, click on the superuser icon again if you exit it, go to settings, scroll down and you will see Su Binary v.XXXX, click on that to update it, than go to market and search the super user app and update it. Also update busybox. After this you have root access and you can install a custom recovery. Also you can install your preferred Kernel if you don't like the stock one.
If you do not get the Allow Deny message the root was not completed successfully. do a factory reset and try again the same steps.
see images attached as proof.
Well, I installed V20 C via doktornotor method but couldn root it by flashing the signed su binary via recovery.
So I tried the above mentioned method and it worked. But every time the Superuser Force closes and its too buggy.. Any solutions. ?
Yes, same here, i tried doktornotor's method both 20C and 20G and didnt work, this Super1click works but su force closes everytime Any ideeas??
====================EDIT============================
I managed to root gingerbread with doktornotor's method V20g
Just use his image, BUT dont use su-2.3.6.3-cd-signed.zip
Download from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110733 su-2.3.6.2-efgh-signed.zip and install it wia clockworkmod recovery zip installer and works like a charm

Should I type the comma at the end on cmd? Can you please explain what exactly the above command does? Does it create the above file on the above filepath on device? If I typed both
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf
and
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf,
should I erase one of these files?
Without comma.

So can anybody provide me a successful and error free method of rooting it. and Please also share me the method to unroot it.
Thanks in advance.
I've read in a topic that I can't find, that after rooting usb debugging should always be on and disabling it could cause problems. I can't remember what kind of problems. Is that true? Should I keep it enabled?
Ok im pretty sure my phone is rooted coz it said in the superuser log root-allowed so yes thnx for helping me root my phone, now install custom recovery bla blah and then rom install

Since the milestones bootloader is locked, we cannot create sbf files to flash on it. The only ones are stock eclaire, stock froyo, and the got 2.2.1 leak. All are signed by motorola. It is for that reason that it is impossible for you to attain this. I would suggest re-downloading androidiani openrecorvery to your sd card, and trying again, because thats the only way your gunna get miui. You could also try minimod openrecovery.
Just do what they are saying, flash a signed Motorola sbf, then root it and get Androidiani running and use it to flash MIUI.
Try this or this. Make sure you have openrecovery on your sdcard and miui in your updates folder.

There is no need to press any keys.
1. First extract a fresh copy of AOR to sdcard. Then copy miui zip file under updates folder
2. Next, activate usb debugging mode in your phone and connect to pc.
3. Open up command prompt and enter the following commands in order.
Code:
adb devices ( this should show as your phone being connected )
adb shell "echo 'boot-recovery ' > /cache/recovery/command"
adb shell "echo '--update_package=SDCARD:update.zip' >> /cache/recovery/command"
adb shell "reboot recovery"
That's it. Your AOR should load.

You could also use Google, as you can find detailed guides that start at installing drivers for windows, that you probably don't have.
And, as I understand that your phone works, you can always use terminal emulator from market, which doesn't need the drivers and works exactly like using adb through windows cmd line.

Haha. You need to have android sdk installed to get adb working. Or as Jack said, try the commands using TE, without the adb shell and without the quotes.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
using jacks idea is great, yes my cell is working... i have installed and whenever i put in a command it says permission denied
this states that most probably my cell is not rooted yet
i tried using androot and it does give the temporary root and fails on permanent root, but still i cant execute any command in te
please b patient and help
Try z4root for rooting your phone. And install android sdk. There are many sticky threads telling you how to install android sdk.

As everyone told you already, because of the locked bootloader you can't flash any .sbf you want. Only Motorola's and GOT's that has vulnerable recovery injected.
To flash MIUI rom, use OpenRecovery and flash the .zip file.

[Q] Cant get to recovery mode

Hello,
I'm trying to get the timeshift video mod working on my Z1 C6603, android version 4.2.2. The last step is to install the mod via recovery mode, which I can't boot to. I've tried the power + volume button method but it boots the phone into safe mode. Any ideas how I could get to recovery mode?

Yes, no problem!
If you're rooted (which I expect that you probably are), just open up (or download and install if you need to) Terminal Emulator and execute this command:
Code:
su
reboot recovery
Alternatively, if you don't have/don't want Terminal Emulator, if you connect your device to your PC via ADB, this command will get you into recovery mode, too:
Code:
adb shell
reboot recovery
Hope this helps! :good:

Yes, the phone is rooted.
Terminal Emulator only rebooted the phone after a long pause and ADB tool says "operation not permitted". It's a work phone so it might have theft protection which blocks me from accessing recovery mode. Anything else I could try?

When you type "su" does it changes the $ symbol to # ?
If you have # means that you have root access if not you don't have...
@varsketis, yes, a custom recovery should resolve your problem. I'd recommend either ClockworkMod or TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project).
@root-expert, if varsketis didn't have root, when he executed these commands:
Code:
su
reboot recovery
-OR-
Code:
adb shell
su
reboot recovery
...he would have gotten an "Access denied" error. However, since he was able to get his device to reboot in some way or another using the shell, it means that he does have a root shell (#) usable.

Anyone know of any other phones running this 360 OS?
Probably, your boot loader is locked.
Please take a backup of ur data before proceeding further.
Try this,
Download adb and Koush Universal adb driver and install them on ur pc, always install the driver first and don't install the drivers adb setup asks u to install.
Run command prompt as administrator.
Open the folder in c drive where adb is installed, u can use file explorer for this.
Press Shift+right click and select open command window here.
Enable USB debugging on your phone and connect it to the pc by a USB cord.
Enter command "adb devices" without quotation marks.
If it shows some device connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " adb reboot bootloader"
Enter command " fastboot devices", if it shows some device to be connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " fastboot oem unlock".
Ur phone may then ask for final confirmation on the phone screen, select yes.
When procedure completes, type "fastboot reboot" and ur phone will reboot.
U can now use Kingoroot or any other tool for rooting.

Woukd like to share a way to switch Bluboo S8 launcher to another one.
1. On Google Play store, download and install iLauncher X or S+ Launcher
2. Start iLauncher X and goto Preferences icon.
3. You will see an button called "set as default". Swipe it ON and you will be able to select any launcher installed in your Bluboo S8 and set it as default.

What root means: In terms of PC language, Root means the superuser that has privileges to Add, Modify, and or Delete any kind of system files without prevention. Pretty much, it's like the actual Administrator account on a PC. Natively, whenever we buy a phone, it is as if to say, we are only using a guest account. Since the android OS is basically a Linux based computer (correct me if i am wrong) we can do anything we like... You want iOS emoji's on an android? A custom boot animation? Having root privileges allows you to go beyond your guest user restrictions because you then become the Admin.
Explaining the function of the provided Magisk app: It allows root privileges for programs intended for rooted phones.
There are other popular programs alternative of Magisk app, such as the SuperSU app: http://www.mediafire.com/file/2dljobq6yw93w76/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.82-20170528234214.zip
--------------------------------
After being officially done setting up your rooted phone, make sure you disable OEM Unlock to avoid seeing the caution message before every boot.
--------------------------
How to backup your phone.
Also, using ADB, backup your phone.
Windows: Click and drag ADB file onto command prompt and paste " backup -apk -shared -all -f "C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\backupfilename.ab" "
Linux: Open terminal and type " adb backup -apk -shared -all -f "C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\backupfilename.ab" "
Update: For those who are encountering "Now unlock your phone and confirm operation" when typing the latter code, there is an alternative and much more easier and safer way to backup your phone.
Boot into TWRP and click on "backup" and then select what you would like to back up and then swipe to confirm the operation.

Brad I have a question, is there any way to get a custom ROM on this phone? If not how come? How does it all work?
And are you with Metro PCS as well? What apps can a safely delete to get this phone as close to a stock version of android as I can? Can I seriously just wipe out EVERY metro app? Hows your phone functioning?

Until there is a custom recovery built, we won't have custom roms. Dont wipe out every metro app. Anything you arent sure about, look up, or just freeze the app and test results. My phone is fine except SuperSU wont work properly due to the binary being occupied, but this is the best we have so far. I debloated no problem.

Root is the only thing needed, not a custom recovery. Apps like Magisk Manager can flash custom images. The reason there is no ROMs built for this device, I can tell you in my opinion there is no need for a Custom ROM. Magisk Manager has plenty of customizations available as well as many other root apps. Basically, custom recoveries are obsolete, it is not needed for gaining root access nor flashing files. Magisk can do it as well as Flashfire.

Hey man, I would press the Windows Key+R and type" "cmd"
Then, as long as your adb is located at C:\adb type: "cd C:\adb"
Then use adb, I hate how Windows 10 forces it on users!
Hey, I am so sorry to bother you but when I enter in the fourth step of your tutorial, it tells me "flash boot" command doesn't exist. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Okay, after messing around with it a few, I found that once it goes off into fastboot... my computer can't recognize it anymore?

Hey guys, spent a few hours figuring out how to root. Pretty Simple!
1) Enable Developer Options, USB Debugging & OEM Unlock
2) Reboot to Fastboot Mode (Using ADB via PC type: adb reboot bootloader)
3) Add root_boot.img into your adb folder
4) In ADB type: fastboot flash boot root_boot.img
5) After flash successful, type: fastboot reboot
6) Install Magisk Manager App
For those skeptical, proof of root here.

Do I need to unlock the bootloader first? I have it rebooted into fastboot and it's giving me instructions to do that, but won't let me push the boot image. If I do need to unlock it, does it wipe my device?

Yes, that is what OEM unlock means. In doing so you do need to unlock the bootloader.

Yes, when you use "fastboot oem unlock" it unfortunately erases all data. One of our forum members is working on a TWRP at the moment that might be available today. You could wait to do this so you can create a backup.

That'd be cool. But, wouldn't the bootloader still need to be unlocked for me to flash TWRP?

I'm an idiot, yes LOL. Sorry, just got to work and I am tired you are correct. So, if you would like I suggest just using my tutorial. I believe there is ways of using LG backup to save most of your user data.

What are you typing into ADB to get that error?
Do you have to de-encrypt the phone for root? I am thinking of getting an Aristo2, currently using the MotoE4 (which I hate!), and rooting that requires de-encryption (I love encryption!). This is the MetroPCS version your talking about? Thank you...
