FLash via odin the correct pit file with the re-partion checked. And un-check the repartition option and flash your stock rom.

Thanks for the reply but i already tried above.pit file for this model isbdifficult tobfind.the one i found works but in recovery the system partition cannot be mounted.

How did you get this to work? I manually dropped the file on the sdcard, installed and got an error. I then installed it using the superADB tool. went to install in TWRP, selected the file and confirmed the flash. error? Feels like I'm missing a step.

I just popped out my sdcard, put it into my laptop, copied the file onto the root directory, put it back into the phone, it booted intor TWRP and flashed the file. Maybe you got a bad download?
Put the zip file on my external sd> turn phone on> TWRP Install the file> error?????
this fixed it for me

If you don't do a factory data reset in the settings of your phone but use the factory reset option in twrp recovery instead then you will not lose your pictures or anything else in your internal SD card.
Odin flash the stock firmware after doing a full wipe of system, data, cache, dalvik and factory reset all in twrp recovery before Odin flashing.
Good luck and have a nice day.

It's easy to root.
Get the twrp Odin flashable TAR file , the noble version and Odin flash it after copying Jovys rooting kernel into your internal sdcard.
You can find jov23's stock-modified rooting kernel in the n920t original developers thread here in this forum.
After Odin flashing twrp your phone will boot into twrp recovery where you need to install Jovys zip file kernel.
Good luck.

You just only need to flash BL file not all files. But if you want to go to stock rom you can flash all files.

You need to flash only one file which is Bootloader via odin. Not all files are needed. In odin select BL and browse for BL file and flash it. If you flashed all 4 files your all data and current rom will be wiped.

Maybe the bootloader in what you are flashing is older than your current bootloader and it's blocking it from flashing, you can't downgrade bootloader on most Samsung devices that have Android 4.3 or newer.
Or maybe you need to flash your stock kernel by itself and then flash the complete firmware.

Download your stock firmware then extract the kernel from it, then flash the extracted kernel. You're looking for the zimage.

You will have to convert the kernel to a .tar or .tar.md5 to flash it with Odin, flash it in the AP slot.
