Hi,
I found one really nice music app in xda forum(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667098). I generally use Player Pro for it's great sound and UI, but after installing this one (just put my sd card and tapped it to install the apk) I found the sound of this music player is as good as the paid version of PlayerPro paid version and it has good widgets as well. screen shots are given in attachments.
Apollo? No, thank you. Was it updated to read covers from within mp3's yet, or still tries to get them from the net?

The best music player out there without a doubt but the only thing is that it needs a landscape view when opening and a FULL ENGLISH interface.
And a better widget too.

I was just looking around the Chinese website for some information !
A great player indeed , I'm just concerned about the battery usage but i'll have to test it some more to see.
Also why include a freaking web browser and not a video player ? : P

I am not the developer
I just help the ttpod team reporting bugs and some petty fixes
German translation will not be possible as of now as our team has recently translated it to English from Chinese you need to wait at least four months for global translations as our primary aim is to perfect the app first

Hi,
Great players, but still many issues for me :
1) I have version 3.94.1102 installed on my Nexus 7 tablet.
Today, when I launch the app, it says that I should upgrade to version 4.2.0110 and send me automatically to the google playstore page of TTPod, but the issue is that it now says that my device in incompatible so I can't upgrade anymore !!!
Please make TTpod compatible again with the Nexus 7 tablet (3.94 seems to be running without a glitch on the Nexus 7)
2) The management of music Cover is both buggy and too complex
- buggy because if you let TTPod download directly the music cover, it sometimes find covers that have nothing to do with what is being played
- buggy because TTPod does not recognize covers when they are tagged into the mp3 itself (while many other mp3 players do)
- complexe because if you want to add a cover manually you have to rename your jpeg cover picture as "album_name" (not "album_name.jpg") and then you must store this file into a special folder on the sd card: ttpod/art/album . Most other player would either recognized an album cover if it is embedded in the song's tag or if it is stored in the same album file as the mp3 files with a .jpg extension... You also have to change the tag of all song so that it includes the name of the album, otherwise the album cover file set in ttpod/art/album will not show... None of my mp3 tags include the album name... so having to retag all my song is very time consuming... All my songs are tagged with the album cover and unfortunately this is not recognized by TTPod...
3) Despite me tagging very carefully my mp3 songs, sometimes lyrics are completly wrong : they do not match at all the song that is being played (eg the latest MIKA "Origin of Love" where TT Pod must be downloading the lyrics for another song also called The origin of Love...)
4) There still too many Chinese language within the app (version 3.94.1102 as I can't upgrade to version 4.2).
This means there are still many features that many users can't use properly...
Please do at least a full English translation.
Then you should create an intl translation project...
Keep the good work, TTPod is very good and not far from being perfect
Re: [APP] TT POD the best in class music player
fan of it since the age of java and Symbian but in android it seems very annoying in lyrics or song downloading...so here I m preferring duomi...

Definitely Neutron, with Player Pro a close runner up for me.
Though I no longer use my phone for music, as I'm using a Rockboxed Clip Zip with a Fiio E11 amp.

Poweramp Music Player is the best.
ONLY POWERAMP..... :good:
PowerAmp for its functionality!

Win amp pro?
Just JetAudio
Probably not a very popular choice here, but I really like Shuttle Music Player, even bought it after some time of using the free version. Personally, I feel that players like PowerAMP while universally liked are way too overloaded and have pretty basic UI. Shuttle offers simplicity, robustness and Holo UI. Try it out!
Mortplayer for free.

Are any of these music players able to connect to Google Play music? I love the idea of storing all my music on the cloud, but not too crazy about the layout of the Google app.
There is a sticky in this forum for this type of discussion. Please use that :highfive:

Hi everyone,
I just got my Nexus 5 + KitKat and I tryed using the SW2, and everything seems ok, except the Music player as each time I try opening the app on the watch or starting playing music (with Google Music) on the phone, the Smart Music app force closed.
(this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.extras.liveware.extension.music )
I was using the Sony SW1 with a 2.3 device and music was OK with Google Music.
Did some of you had any issue with this app ? Or any other solution. It was the one great thing I loved doing with the first watch!
Thanks in advance
There are no forums about new walkman , so I post to here.
I have found that the new Sony Walkman is supported by android , and the new walkman app looks pretty well ( style is like the wm1 and zx300 series) . I wanna install the new walkman app on my cellphone .
There are some problems
First of all there are no smaster audio processor on the cellphones so some of the functions won’t work on the ordinary android devices . Like vinyl processor or dsee Hx , dc phase processor. Maybe we have to disable them to ensure that the app works well.
Second , I found the functionality between zx500 and a100 is different . So there are maybe 2 versions of new walkman app. One for zx500 and another one for a100.
I double this. I'll try to get the APK tomorrow by extracting it from the firmware... then I'll install it to AOSP.
Got it? Would be interested on that and some Infos about it (Development)
any news about this?
anything else?
Did anyone do this?
Bump
Do you guys need someone with one of these devices to be able to extract the APK? Willing to help if you point me in the right direction.
However don't be too excited, the music player sucks as a music player.
It's very basic, it doesn't even let you create or modify playlists. Only "bookmarks" which cannot be backed up/exported and have limitations.
Even I have these device, and I'd rather stick to PowerAmp in general (best overall) or USB Audio Player Pro UAPP for USB DAC support and MQA.

Hi there,
I might be a little late but yes! Someone with one of these devices will be great.
Being it Android you can download an android app called (Super Backup & Restore) from the Google play store. This app is easy, intuitive and will extract the APK file. Then you can upload it here on XDA. I can help more if you are willing to help. I will try my best to answer any questions you have.
Cheers
