[Q] L Camera won't record 60fps video - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I'm using Nexus 5 with CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightly, and found and installed L Camera because i wanted to try 60fps recording. In settings, every 60 and 120fps option is faded and cannot be selected, and there are some insanely high resolutions that make my phone heat to uncomfortably hot to touch when recording. I actually don't need those resolutions, but only 60fps in 1080p or 720p. What could be the problem?

[Q] Camera video FPS

Hi guys, I noticed that with my Moto G (not rooted, with KK) and stock camera when I record a video it has about 15 FPS, not 30. With the camera F50 it records exactly in 720p at 30 FPS, very smootly.
Is it normal for the stock camera to record at only 15 FPS or have I made something wrong (perhaps I've messed something installing and uninstalling all the cameras of the Playstore)? Any advice?

Yuphoria choppy video recording

I have the official cm12.1 on my yuphoria. I tried the stock camera app and the video recording is really choppy/laggy. I tried various 3rd party camera apps but still the video was very choppy/laggy even when I set the fps to 60 or 120 (at 720p). Yuphoria is supposed to have 60fps recording at 1080p so is this a device issue or rom issue ? I tried from a friend's redmi 1s and the video was very smooth even at 1080p. (In the same room under same conditions)
Is there a custom kernel which can provide a solution to my problem ?
(The video becomes a little smoother if I point it directly at a light source but in normal light in my room, the video is really choppy/laggy)

Video recording issues (skip frames?)

I have noticed that video recording in Full HD (30/60 fps) Results in skip frames and the video is not smooth.
I also tried 4k recording and both x264 and x265 crashed.
Anyone else experience the she and how this can be resolved?
I am on stock Nougat latest version.

I have not solved the lagging in the video recording. It feels as if the sensor is trying to catch up on the movement as I record and this results in lagged and jittered video recording.
I am going to log a call with Sony, as it seems it is hardware related
it's happening to me too (((

30fps video jump

I have problem with the onePlus 6. When recording in 60fps there is no problem, but with 30fps the video randomly jumps. Any advise on how to fix this?
It is resolution independent and shows itself at 720/1080

Changing recording resolution?

Just shot my first video of something and turns out it was in 720P. I'm pretty sure these have specs higher then that for video using the default camera but I can't for the life of me find the settings to change the default recording quality.
