Urgent help,internal storage disappeared - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

WAS IN LOLIPOP 5.1.1
THESE WERE THE THINGS I DID
1) UNLOCKED THE BOOTLOADER AND INSTALLED CWM RECOVERY USING (CF-Auto-Root-hammerhead-hammerhead-nexus5),AND INSTALLED SUPER SU
2) WENT TO CWM RECOVERY AND BACK UP EVERYTHING
3) DOWNLOADED CM12 LATEST (cm-12.1-20150625-NIGHTLY-hammerhead.zip )
4) AFTER WIPING DATA AND CACHE,TRIED TO FLASH CM12
BUT IT TOOK SO LONG ,SO I RESTARTED THE PHONE.WENT TO RECOVERY
5) RESTORED FROM EARLY CREATED BACKUP AND REBOOT
6) BUT THEN ALSO THE PHONE WAS BOOTLOOPING
7) TRIED STEPS 4-6 SEVERAL TIMES,THERE WAS NO USE
8) I JUST RELOCKED THE BOOTLOADER USING COMMAND 'fastboot oem lock'
9) THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE PHONE
10) THERE WAS NO CHANGE
11) THEN I UNLOCKED THE PHONE WITH COMMAND 'fastboot oem unlock'
12) BUT SIMPLE RESTART PROMPTED IT TO CWM RECOVERY
13) LATER I FOUND OUT THAT THE INTERNAL STORAGE WAS NOT DETECTED BY THE PHONE

First, restore back to stock, using any toolkit in development section
Then use that toolkit to install the recovery + superSU
Then download & install rom manager
Are you sure you do it right?
go to fastboot mode, then type
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
Besides, the latest twrp.img is 12.9 MB.

Were you careless with your fastboot commands? Did you flash a kernel/ something else to your recovery partition while you were flashing multiple files at once? I ask becasue I was updating my kernel this morning and noobed up. I flashed my recovery with my kernel.:victory:

Try to install CyanogenMod latest and get loop when startup ...

I tried to install latest Cyanogenmod (cm-11-20140430-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip) but get a loop any time I restart the phone so I restart my phone in "fasboot" mode and then press "Factory" this deleted all the content of the internal SD card including the .zip and now I can't flash it. I have a few questions regarding this topic:
How do I copy ROM files trough fastboot mode?
Why I get this loop if I follow the common steps: wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache?
Any help?
I too got bootloop on my XT1033 of the dame version of the CM11 please help me too.

That happened to me as well, what I did was to flash a complete stock JB 4.3 firmware (the Retail Taiwan works great for most Asian variants), updated via OTA and then attempted to flash CM11 which worked.

Where I download the stock firmware and how I install via Fastboot? I tried to push any file to /sdcard/ trough adb but this doesn't recognize my device, fastboot does, any advice? I'm stuck since I hit "Factory" option in fastboot mode and it erases all the content of /sdcard/ and now I can't flash nothing

Problem with TWRP

Hi guys.
I installed via flashfi the TWRP on my nexus with android 5, original rom. My bootloader is unlocked.
However, when trying to enter the recovery mode, appears the initial screen of TWRP and simply back into the system. What might be happening? Its fix it? And is to return to the default recovery?

[Q] Backup won't restore.

So I installed the lateat CM12 nightly, wasn't really impressed yet and went to go restore my backup and once it's done restoring, it get stuck at the bootscreen animation. Just keeps going and going abs going. I used the latest cwm touch recovery as CM12 is not compatible with MultiROM. I would just flash the factory img back but my computer decided to it doesn't ever want to recognize adb avid fastboot on Linux.
Anyone know where I can find a flashable zip for the factory 5.0.1 ROM? Any help would be appreciated!
Try googling Nexus 5 factory image...
Here's a flashable 5.0 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-android-4-4-3-ktu84m-rooted-busybox-t2557523

Now I'm assuming I'd have to unroot it and flash stock recovery and lock the bootloader to get it to update to 5.0.1?
No, it's flashable in your custom recovery. It's 5.0 though

Yeap , ota needs stock recovery. Also , switch to twrp since cwm isn't playing nice with L.

You're on a custom Rom. The ota isn't going to work. And you don't need to relock your bootloader. If you can afford to wipe your data download the 5.0.1 factory image. Extract it and use the flash-all.bat

My computer is Linux, and adb and fastboot for whatever reason unknown to me, won't install. That's why I asked for a zip file of the factory image. Thanks for the help though.

Well, unfortunately, there isn't a 5.0.1 flashable rom available right now. If you can't get fastboot to work on your Linux machine you're kind of sol as you need to be 100% stock to get the ota to work. That means stock recovery in your case. Google recovery zip collection xda. There's a custom recovery flashable stock recovery there.

Did some more digging, got it install, and flashed the factory img for 5.0.1 and twrp recovery then superSU through twrp.
Mods please lock the thread thanks.
Get wugfreshes Toolbox. It has access to all factory images. Some people are not fans of "one click solutions" but this has never let me down.
There's a flushable zip on here also. Put it in a search in the app and you should come across it. It IS the full version.
Did you ever find out why the CWM restore led to getting stuck on boot animation??
Just ran into this last night. Tried restoring 2 different CWM backups and both got stuck on boot animation.
I eventually got a new ROM flashed. Going to try TWRP recovery I suppose.
I know I never had this problem with 4.4, this was the first time I have restored a LP ROM..

My guess would be; cwm hasn't been optimized for Lollipop. Cyanogen has just recently started working on 5.0 and they probably haven't touched the recovery too much. But that's just my guess.

ROM - https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs...84cs/Nexus 5/Full/xTraSmooth_4_Hammerhead.zip
Radio/Bootloader - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934540588
SuperSU - http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Steps:
1. Make sure you are on TWRP v2.8.5.2
2. Download ROM and Modem
3. Boot into TWRP
4. Flash ROM (don't need to wipe dalvik/cache because it's already a part of the script)
5. Flash SuperSU v2.46
6. Flash Modem
7. Reboot phone
I did these exact same steps and i had no issues what-so-ever!
*edit* Replaced the Radio only flashable zip with a Radio/Bootloader flashable zip

Hi,
I would say that you are in the right way. And, as rohit25 said you need to install the bootloader and radio images. The bootloader is the software responsible for launch the kernel and bring up your phone. The radio images i think it controls basic low level functions like GPS, network connectivity and WI-FI. To your final question, yes, you will need to install super user again.

Yes, that is true.
Just fastboot the bootloader, radio and system img's, then boot into recovery and wipe cache and dvalik, far easier.

you would think so, but i didn't realize until after i looked at another post that the link i posted only did the radio and not the bootloader as well, and low and behold... my phone worked perfectly fine on the 5.0 bootloader.
But i did flash the bootloader + radio later and noticed no difference.
