[Q] which version to buy - 64gb or 32gb - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm considering to buy the Samsung galaxy s6. today I have the s2. I have a big problem with the s2 - I don't have enough space to update and install applications.
my question is if I want to avoid this problem with the s6, do I have to buy the 64gb version, or will the 32gb version would be enough? I don't need much space for pictures, songs etc.
thx

Ultimately, it's a judgement call only you can make. If you satisfied with the apps you are using and don't anticipate adding a lot of new ones, then you just need a little more storage say 4-8GB. But bear in mind that the GS6 doesn't allow you to add an SD card so you are stuck with what you choose. FYI - T-Mobile is having a special 64GB for the 32GB price but that only works if T-Mobile has good coverage and you're willing to switch if necessary
Start by determining how much storage you are using on your S2. Include both internal and any SD card. Also, newer apps tend to be a little bigger. If you are using 16GB now then I think 32GB would be fine. If you are over 24GB then probably opt for 64GB. Go to Settings -> Storage to get info.

[Q] Versions of Android with exfat Support and devices

Ok,
I saw the "noob" video and since I am a "noob" I am locked out of allot of the forums, so replying back to them is a little hard at the moment.
I have had a number of android based devices, currently an EVO 4G on sprint with the latest build that Sprint authorized (not rooted). I am also looking at upgrading to a Galaxy Note/Journal when it comes out, but I do have storage requirements that exceed 32gb on my Android devices.
I guess this is a double question:
Is exfat support a purely driver (software) issue with Android right now, or is it both a software and hardware issue? the 64gb class 6 MicroSDXC cards that Sandisk has available now are the same form factor as the 32gb cards and do physically fit in the phone.
Also, is there support for exfat II where I can use the Sandisk Mobile Ultra 64TB MicroSDXC II in my Android device?

[Q] Where are the 32gb note 10.1 models in uk?

I have had mine on order with a online seller and its due in 19/10/12.
the samsung uk site does not list the 32gb either?
I cant find a single thing about no 32gb models being for sale/in stock in the uk so whats going on; anyone know?
i Cant answer you question but have you considered buying the 16gb version and putting in a 64gb Micro SD Card?
It seems here in the Netherlands what seems like a good chunk of europe, 16gb models are available, that seems to be my impression.

That's the only company that seems to be offering them (32GB), as I have mine on order from them with same due date. Someone left a review for the 32gb so I'm guessing they had the stock at some point.
I tried emailing Samsung UK, but the email got bounced ggrrr

Have you tried Samsung Mobile's Facebook page.
I have used it in the past with 'some' success.
By bringing your question to the masses puts Samsung on the back-foot.
If you do not get a reply keep hammering your own replies. It won't take long before someone starts to notice and the last thing they need is an irate customer base.
I also spoke with Clove on this and they too have not had any success with dates.
It will come but as you say it is bloody annoying.
I refuse to order a 16GB model as most of my Apps (not games) have extremely large data files which all get dropped into the 16GB (11GB after main default installation) part of the available memory, thus for me it would not take too long before that remaining 11GB's has been taken. Granted you could root your device and use DirectoryBind to move the data over to your external SD card memory but unfortunately rooting is not for me.

Max supported size is 100% 32gb acc to all official documentation. some peoples reviews on the net are wrong quoting 64gb supported in msd slot.
i brought a 32gb card ready to put in thus giving me 64gb when ever it arrives.
the fact samsung direct dont even list it suggests to me that the 32gb models havent even been shipped from the factory yet.
i emailed samsung directs sales team no reply.
I will try the facebook idea....
Yay i am not the only one who got sucket in on "unnamed website" the 32gb review on there cant be legitimate in my opinion i orded mine soon as it appeared on the site!
i noticed the date 19/10 has now gone up for new orders. its a cheak they list it as in stock when i first put the order through!
When Note 10.1 was announced and sold back in August Sammy rep. Europe said that 32GB will follow depending on the selling situation.
Wonder if there will be 3g/WiFi Notes with 32GB at all.
Was the same with Tab7.7 ...................... (no 64GB version until now !)
64Gb SD cards work with the Note 10.1.
As for the version with 32Gb internal storage, I ended up buying from the States - it got to me in 2 and a bit working days, :victory: but I got stung for €100 inport costs
64GB ards work with no issues.

I have found it listed at Woolworths.co.uk which shouldn't be based in Hong Kong and take your money and never send it!

Be careful..... It's not actually Woolworth's but a 'multi-owned corporation' that sells this.
They use the defunct Woolworths & Littlewoods.
Here's the same tablet only this time being sold by Very.co.uk
Notice it's the same notices "Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected" and web content as Woolworths.
Good spot. I'm not getting one anyway but thought it was uk based.
I think I'll stick to 16gb + 32GB card.

They are UK based! They are part of the shop direct group that includes very, littlewoods, Woolworths, isme , etc.
I got mine through very with no issues... the only time you will have an issue is if your item develops a fault and they try to wash their hands of you, by saying you must deal with the manufacturer after a day.... c*nts
Yeah, I think years ago I'd have taken the risk but these days is prefer to have a simple returns policy instead.

[Q] Verizon 16GB model - any memory issues?

I currently have a 32GB Motorola XYBoard. Our company is buying another tablet and the only Verizon Android model available is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with 16GB of memory. I believe it also has a SD slot, correct? I am concerned that with only 16GB of internal memory we will run into memory issues when we start loading up apps. Can anyone share anything regarding memory issues with this model? How is the memory managed between internal and an external SD card? Will apps automatically load into the external SD card along with the app data storage?

Should I buy S6? Please help me with your experience

Hello,
I am thinking about buying a €470 Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB Black Sapphire SM-G920F without simlock for my wife.
She is used to her S3 for years. The big negative with the S6 is that it has no sd card slot and dual sim..
The only different phone which she would maybe consider is a chinese phone
because of extra sd card storage and dual sim possibility.
What would you advise me to get?
Should I wait for more price cuts?
Is it currently easy to root it without tripping kn0x?
thanks a lot

Here S6 duos (g920fd) for a bit more. Opposite to older galaxies Sx, S6 at this moment really it is not necessary to root if you don't mind some advertisement and you install a clean stock firmware as Kenia (AFR). I was also worried because sd card, but with a good management for the internal memory and this microusb memory http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kingston-32...276886?hash=item5d5a51ec56:g:KkIAAOSwl9BWJhrv or this card reader http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZRXMMZQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 on your key chain problem solved...

ZTE Axon 7

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying one of these phones but would like a bit of feedback before I commit. I can get one of these for £215.00 but but I read somewhere that the extra memory sd card would take up the space of one of the sim cards! If this is correct then it's a no go for me.
Also is the latest model compatible with general UK &Spanish carriers . Reading various review sites it seems a very good buy.
Any advice and comments would be appreciated
Regards
Dave

Most of the phones these days work like that, sim1 slot and (sim2 or sdcard)slot, don't be surprised about, you can avoid using a sdcard by buying a 64GB variant of the phone, there is a 64GB with 4GB ram variant, it might be more expensive, but I'm not sure.
The phone is awesome, i confirm that sdcard takes sim2 slot.
