[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy S6 & Edge GPE Rom ! - XDA Assist

Hello, I was on XDA and found no other post for getting the GPE on the Samsung galaxy S6. I was wondering if there will be a google play edition coming out for the S6 or a developer to be kind enough to make a GPE us all to use.
The reason i feel like the S6 needs the GPE are;
- RAM USAGE! too much running for no reason ! why !
- For some reason the Display settings are on auto adjust and never work.
- GPE is much better at everything then Touch wiz and only uses 500MB not 2.5GB ! -.-
- Huge amounts of bloat ware in the system
These are some key points i hate my galaxy S6 edge at the moment.
If there is any clever developer that can either make a GPE ROM of the nexus 5 or Nexus 6 Stock image or help me make it ?
I feel that I'm not the only one who wants this so please help and post if you want GPE on the Samsung S6 ! ;D because I sure would want that more then crappy bloated wear on the stock image!

Hi, welcome to XDA Assist.
There is discussion regarding Galaxy S6 CM12 rom which is not GPE but close to aosp (google to know more about CyanogenMod) over here >> Cyanogenmod 12 Samsung Galaxy S6
I would suggest you to check that thread out. If you have any further question related S6 visit xda-developers > Samsung Galaxy S6 > Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Read carefully before taking a step.
Goodluck.

Questions regarding Galaxy S4 Google Edition ROM

Hi all, I am very new here, and I would like a question answered.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 currently running the Samsung stock firmware. I want to load the Google Edition ROM onto it and just wondering if I will be able to upgrade to later versions of Android when they do come out. Example: upgrading to Kitkat when it does come out.
This is the only thing that has stopped me from loading the GE ROM onto my S4.
Any and all answers are greatly appreciated.

[Completed] [Q] Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889V Custom ROM Installation

Hi, I recently joined XDA to get information about how to install or modify custom roms.
I firstly tried to search before making this thread, but I couldn't get exact information that I wanted. (Or, my searching was crap..)
I'm very new to Android (was using iPhones), so I would be very appreciated if you can help starting from basic knowledge.
Device Type - Samsung Galaxy Note II
Model Number - SGH-T889V
Android Version - 4.4.2
Baseband Version - T889VVLUDNH2
Kernal Version - 3.0.31-1736364
Build Number - KOT49H.5889VVLUDNH2
Carrier - WIND Mobile
1.
What is the most stable Custom ROM for my device?
I saw Cyanogen, MIUI, OMNI, etc.
However, I couldn't select anything since I didn't know wheter they support my device or not.
2.
Can you help me to find information about installing them? (from #1 question)
3.
I saw that Note 2 can have Note 3 or 4 roms.
I want to know the difference between note 2 and note 4 roms. (like more stable, fast, compatible, etc)
4.
I saw that my device could be locked by WIND.
How can I check if it's locked without getting new SIM card?
If you need more information, I can definitely provide them, so feel free to tell me!
Thanks to whoever would help me.
Hi,
You can find custom roms for your device from here:

[Completed] need a rom of lollipop for galaxy grand neo

As I can see the roms for galaxy grand duos so why not for grand neo , I want run
Lollipop on my mobile that's why . so, please give some solution to this.
it has android 4.2.2
Hi there
Unfortunately I don't think such a thing exists. With a quick search i found this one:
[ROM][4.2.2][B3][GT-I9060][GRAND NEO] GenNxt Pre-Rooted Stock
That's just a rooted stock ROM though. Unfortunately low-end devices such as this rarely receive any attention from developers. You can keep an eye out in this section though:
Miscellaneous Android Development
You never know what might pop up in the future, good luck!

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
There are a couple (stock) options available to you.
With root: > AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 > AT&T Galaxy S5 General > [How-To] Update to G900A_OF3 - 5.0 and KeepRoot
No root (nor rootable): > AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 > AT&T Galaxy S5 General > [How-To] Update to G900A_OI5 - 5.1 (Unrooted Stock ROM)
Instructions are in the threads, any questions can go in the respective thread as well.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hello,
This forum is for newbies finding their way around XDA-developers, it isn't for requesting custom roms.
You may visit here Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Development forum and find a appropriate rom for yourself.
Also, you may register for XDA account inorder to post and reply in the forums.
